*warning, this chapter is a “little” heavier than average so read at your own risk
20 days after the explosion – Duke’s Villa
In the end, the interrogation didn’t bring new information about the duke’s motive. It turns out she was telling the truth when she said she wasn’t told sh-t and only did what she was told. Well, the prince did found out all the activities she did as a spy of the duke
She already told him about the Wall, but he also found out about the fake documentation he signed(the prince turned a little pale there) and the request from the duke to hinder the police investigation in any way possible, but in the end she didn’t manage to do anything there
Still, whit this information the prince confirmed the involvement of the duke in the attack to the royal family. Since he dared to steal from his sister before the explosion happened, he had to know something was going to happen later, or else he risked the chance of getting caught. The prince suspected that the duke also took care of the guard, but since Susan wasn’t directly involved there, she didn’t know for sure
One thing the prince was sure off was that the duke went full traitor now, and may even be the mastermind in everything that happened so far
But the prince decided to leave everything related to the duke for later since he was already in deep sh-t with the kidnapping. He really couldn’t worry about something he had no way of solving right now
So instead the prince focused on finding out everything related to the castle defence. After asking more questions to Susan, the prince finds out that the Villa was understaffed since most of the people were busy covering the tracks
The idea was to destroy the carriage and blame it on the magicians. The duke had some indisputable “proof” that it was the magicians fault and planned to suppress them with that. As for the general, he had his daughter as a hostage

Of course he wouldn’t show it was the duke who kidnapped her, but she would be used as a collar for the general(this made Aria almost go on a rampage, but the prince managed to calm her down)
The problem was that not a lot of people could be on the know of all this, and since falsifying the evidence needed some people, right know the villa only had 4 guards(2 sleeping) and a “guest”
“Guest?”(prince) was curious with the phrasing of Susan
“yes, a “guest” “(Susan) repeated
“And what does he do?”(prince) pressed
“He was the cook”(Susan)
“Then is he the villa’s cook?”(prince)keep asking since she didn’t say cook the first time
“………no”(Susan)
“Then what is he?”(prince)
“a guest”(Susan)
“………………………………………………..”(prince) wanted to punch her
It almost looked like she was screwing around with him, but he managed to hold himself back and kept pressing
“Stop beating around the bush, what are you not telling me!”(prince) turned a little red
“…………”(Susan)kept a poker face
“want me to make it an order? you will end up talking anyway”(prince)
But what surprised the prince was that instead of spilling the beans, she turned really pale and almost throw up on the floor. It took her a couple of minutes to regain her composure
“He is a necromancer”(Susan)finally said with a pale face
It didn’t take long for the prince to realise what she mend
Necromancers specialize in controlling dead bodies, but they also could do more stuff. Most necromancers were also doctors, since knowing human anatomy helped in controlling the dead bodies, so knowing how to knock out someone with the proper dose wouldn’t be too strange
The problem was they also got another skill that the prince was familiar with thanks to his mother. If the necromancer was skilled enough, they could extract vital information from a dead body if they were fresh enough(24hs tops) and with their brain intact. For that reason, it was standard to blow someone head or poison them if they knew vital information

Still, it was illegal to extract information from dead bodies since it violates civil rights, and any necromancer catch practicing it would be severely punished, but it’s not like that make people stop doing it, it’s just done in secret
And of course, knowing that information, the prince could figure out what was his job in the villa, since bringing him here just to put them to sleep would be stupid
“So that’s the reason the maid and my guard are dead?”(prince)deduced after processing the information
“he interrogated the guard first and then he killed him to make sure he told him everything, as for the maid…”(Susan) throw up before she could keep going
“What happened to her!?”(Prince) wanted shakes her to see if she answered but decided it was better to give Susan a minute
It took Susan a couple of minutes to get a hold of herself, but she finally gather her courage and answered the question
“She was his “reward”, and he likes them fresh and obedient”(Susan) said with a disgusted face, with a hint of shame
It didn’t take a genius to get what she meant, and something inside the prince snapped
“where is he?”(prince) asked with a “calm” voice
“He should still be in the basement enjoying his “reward” “(Susan)
“And where did you put Lina?”(Prince)
“She should be in the room next to this one”(Susan)
“one more thing, Aria”(prince)called Aria since she was in la la la land after getting tired of hearing complicated stuff
“mph? eh? did someone call me?”(Aria) snapped out of it
“Yeah…. I will get to the point, have you ever killed someone?”(prince)
The sudden question surprised Aria, but still answer back
“My father took me to some bandit hunting and force me to kill a few. He did it so I don’t choke if I ever need to kill someone”(Aria)
Prince sends her a small nod to express his understanding and made preparations in his mind on how to proceed
“Ok, this is what we are going to do, you guys go kill the remaining guards, I will take care of the necromancer”(prince) told the two of them after making up his mind
Since the two of them shouldn’t have a problem with 1 guard and 2 sleeping, he wanted to “take care” of the necromancer personally.Besides, he wasn’t sure if he would be able to control himself there, so it was better than the girls didn’t saw how he deals with the situation
And as for Lina, it was better to let her sleep in peace until they resolved everything
“A necromancer is here? can you really take him alone? they can be pretty nasty”(Aria) was worried for the prince since it was really dangerous
And it really looked like she was in la la land when they were talking
“Don’t worry, I will pretend to be a guard and stab him in the brain when I get close”(prince) lied
“Fine, but be careful”(Aria)
Usually, the prince would these her a bit since she usually didn’t worry about him, but he wasn’t in the mood. Instead the three of them got out of the room and went downstairs
Susan pointed at the basement door and lead Aria outside to where the remaining guard should be(prince made sure to send a couple of commands for safety)
Meanwhile, the prince went downstairs and……… let’s just skip the details in this part
In one room, he found what remained of the guard, which didn’t improve his mood, and in other room he found the necromancer enjoying his reward
To the prince credit, he did manage to keep calm long enough to get close to the guy and stab him. But he didn’t kill him in one strike let’s just say that the prince made he suffer for what he did
let’s just say that the prince made he suffered for what he did
And even though he felt the necromancer deserved it, as soon as he finished, he went outside the room and threw up.. Also, this small revenge didn’t take care of his guilt, sorrow or disgust for everything that happened, only a little of his anger
Note:thx Elohim for the help, and in case you are wondering, the main abilities of necromancers are animating and moving dead bodies at will. The numbers and precision depends of the ability of the person

What's This Fiction ? A Very Incomplete Project.
A fiction about itself and it's writer. Which is a very narcissic choice from the author, really, couldn't he have written anything else ? The cover was hastily made on gimp by the author. He has no rights to the image used on it. He doesn't have the artist's agreement for using it, either. Because he has no idea who's the artist.

Condemned
“The human body is a fragile thing. But the soul... The soul is malleable. Easily tainted. All it takes is one drop of blood to dye it all red.” Long ago, in a time remembered only by a few, the seven lords of Syvernia, led by the Great Hero Ludwig, ended the Great Calamity that plagued humanity for as long as time itself. It was the dawn of a new age of man. . . until the thirst for more poisoned the new lords. Slowly, the thread that held humanity together loosened and a thick haze consumed the lands between. Mysterious vanishings, supernatural forces, and silence warns of a looming threat inside the coat of fog. Though the struggle of the realms did not interest Leor, for he was condemned as a Purblight, until he took a seemingly simple job: escort Alden to Lightendale and collect the handsome reward, a reward that would let him live the rest of his life with ease. But it’s never that simple, especially for someone who denounced the Gods. All his life, death followed Leor everywhere he went, cutting down his friends and family. When his first love died at the hands of an agent of light, he was prepared to throw everything away until a mysterious voice promised him a chance for retribution and a chance to bring her back by completing the seven trials. Thrown into the realm's struggle against the approaching haze and themselves, will Leor, a Purblight and an acquaintance of tragedy, use the very power he disdains to accomplish his goals? This is the rewrite of my novel: Condemned; I changed it to past tense and added/ took out some ideas from the original. This is essentially the first draft since I'm writing as I go. Also, there might be or might not be Gore, Sexual, or Traumatizing content. I only put it there for a disclaimer in case I want to add it. I have no set release schedule yet, but I'll try to post once every 2 week. Thanks for your patience.
