《Tower of Redemption》Chapter 0 - Regal Tower
Advertisement
There exists in this world, a tower that breaks the laws of the entire universe. Made out of a thick material that is unknown to everyone, nothing can break it's way in or out. Even a nuke blowing up right on top of the tower wouldn't make a dent.
This tower was large but not in the traditional sense. It was fifty floors tall and towered above everything that stood before it. Mountains looked like tiny rocks compared to it, and anyone staring directly up next to it couldn’t even see past the first floor. It may have been tall, but the width was on a whole other level,
The base of the tower, the first floor, was as wide and large as a small city. From the first to the fortieth floor, it grew wider and wider until floor forty was as giant as a small country. From floor forty to floor fifty it would rapidly shrink again until floor fifty was as large as floor one.
Truly, it was a marvel of engineering that no one could ever hope to exceed or even replicate. Outsiders may look upon this tower and wonder how the ancients could have built it and who would have lived in it. An ancient, scientifically powerful race? An alien creature from space? Or maybe even people with the willpower of mother nature herself to create. These theories were all wrong, and the mysteries that the tower held only grew the more one thought about it.
There is no traditional entrance, so there was no way in or out through a door. If anyone was inside it, they were most likely dead. Or are they?
Outsiders may not know, but there is a thriving community inside. Inside of the tower, people would climb to try and reach the top, but no one succeeded. All attempts ended in failure and with it, death.

However the people inside would dream about the top of the tower. Was there a God, maybe treasure worth billions of coins? Some even speculated there was more world out there to explore. Whatever drew them to climb, they did so without regret, then perished screaming on their final mistake. For as soon as someone decided to climb the tower, they were doomed to perish without fulfilling their dreams.
A tower that rose above everyone and laughed down at them as they attempted to scale past the odds. A tower that would make it's prisoners kneel in their blood. A tower that does everything in its power to crush whatever hope humanity had left only deserved one, fitting name.
Regal Tower. That was the true name given by the people within.
Within Regal Tower a force was brewing. A break in the norm was happening and the tower cowarded in fright as three people were born within it.
With their might, dreams, and hope that something waited for them. They would look up and wonder what lies above them that not even their minds could comprehend. These three had the best chance to break out of the tower. Despite that, this isn’t just their story to tell. This is a story of humanity.

HUD: Wargame (Sci-Fi GameLit)
★★★★★UNFRIGGENBELIEVABLE!!!!!! "HUD: Wargame is a sci-fi GameLit worth reading." -TienSwitch ★★★★★Rock-solid FPS GameLit. "Nic - the main character - is an ambitious, hyper-competitive perfectionist, and the story fortunately handles him correctly in that it does not push these traits too far." -Akaso ★★★★★This is a good one! "This is one of those stories where you read the first few paragraphs and can just tell that the author has the chops to tell a story. It's engaging and the rules are well thought out and clearly explained. The action is punchy and exciting. Anyway, read it." -HonourRae In the future, everything is a game. Even war. 18-year-old Nic Sigfried wants the high score. Virtually piloting a real-life robot, he'll face off against his peers with the help of his AI guidance system, RTIFIS. The prize? New worlds across the galaxy that are ripe for human conquest and terraforming. It sounds glamorous on paper, but this job might be more dangerous than he thought... HUD: Wargame is the first of a five-part sci-fi series featuring GameLit elements. HUD: Wargame contains some (simulated) violence and very sparing PG-13 profanity. Updates Monday-Thursday-Saturday.
