This, is a story about multiple people. Including one of the most powerful Redeemers. A Man born into a city, a city that is heavily overpopulated, filled with Despair & Madness, and has many secrets which have yet to be known. When it comes to the inhabitants of the city, there are many stories to be told. But, this Man has a story that stands out. And it shall be heard.

Chapter 1: A Fresh Start

A baby was found whining in an alleyway by a homeless woman. The baby was covered in blood, next to a man with a torn open stomach. Freaking out, the homeless woman quickly checked to see if the baby was okay. Then she Frantically checked the man to see if he was still alive in some way. But he was long dead. Thinking about calling the local security force, she quickly changed her mind. Remembering something bad she did not too long ago. The homeless woman decided to take the baby. Calming the baby down, She then took him to another alleyway. She lived in a small tent right behind a Fast Food restaurant. At the back of the Fast Food restaurant there was a water pump. The homeless woman picked up a rusty bucket and filled it up with water, then she proceeded to wash the dry blood all over the baby's face and body. She then walked over to her tent and took out old baby clothes she had in a bag. She then put the clothes on the baby quickly. Almost as if she had done it a hundred times before. The homeless woman then took a good look at the nameless baby. Smiling with a roughed up face and broken smile, She said "You're gonna need a name."

She pondered for a moment, then said "I'm gonna name you Benjamin." Soon after giving the baby a name, Benjamin then raised his hand up. Wanting to grab the homeless woman's fingers. Then Benjamin said "Ma… Ma…" The woman then looked away with a blank face. She then said "Am I getting a second chance? Do I deserve this?" She looked back at Benjamin. Now smiling again. Then she says "Yes Benjamin, I am your Mama."

After a little while, Mama got herself back together. She then remembered that today, A cult group named the "Gutist" will come and gut people for the sake of a ritual across the city. Panicking, Mama knew that she had to hire a Redeemer or find a safe place for the day or else she and Benjamin will be one of the many victims that will take part in a psychopathic ritual. Mama knew she could not afford to hire a Redeemer with what little money she had. So Mama packed up quickly and easily to try and find a safe place. Putting all of her stuff in a shopping cart, she picked up Benjamin and proceeded to carry him with one arm while pushing the shopping cart with the other. Now walking through a crowded city, Benjamin saw many people walking by. Almost all have Distraught and Depressing looking faces. Whenever Benjamin tried to reach his hands out trying to touch one of those people, they simply carried on without even looking. The city seemed lifeless. Everyone just trying to carry on and make it through the boring life that they have. Hoping that one day, they might be able to make it to the top and look down on the life they once had.

A few minutes in while walking through the crowded city, a huge explosion occurred. "(BANG), (BANG)". Mama and numerous other people having a rough idea on what's going on, they quickly walked off the main road and took cover in the alleyways. All of a sudden, a man flew through a building and onto the street where Mama and other people once were. The man was bleeding heavily, with blood gushing down his face and a completely torn open arm with his bone popping out. Everyone stood quiet, now having an idea on what's going on. A couple of seconds later, another man came out of the building. The man was wearing a trench coat, wielding a huge two handed sword that was extremally bright. Then the people hiding started shouting different names. "Redeemer!" "ArchLight!" "Sword of Light!". Then the Redeemer sliced the badly injured man in half within a single swoop, burning his flesh in the process with his sword. Not knowing what's going on, Benjamin started crying due to the shouting. Mama then calmed him down by rowing him back in fourth with her arms. Then the Redeemer put the sword on his back and with a blank look, dragged the lifeless body by the hair down the street into a building with somebody already waiting inside. After that, people went back onto the street and continued on what they were doing. Almost as if nothing happened.

5 hours later...

After walking for a couple of hours, Mama made it to a Huge border in the city. This border separates the city into two. One side being a safe law induced city known as "habitats." And the other being a complete lawless city, also known as "The Streets." Mama then walked up to a security booth right between the habitat and the streets.

"State your business, Please keep in mind we do not accept government assist cards nor government aid cards for rental entry permits." said the security guard.

"I'd like to rent a habitat permit for 1 day." said mama.

"That will be 200cC." (city Cash)

Quickly trying to find what little cash she had in her wallet, she realized there was only 96cC left.

"Please sir, I beg you, I'm missing 104cC. Do you think we can make some sort of deal please?!" said Mama

"Ma'am if you can not afford it then leave. You are wasting my time and others, please be considerate." said the security guard

"Please I'll offer you anything. You can take everything I have in my cart, it'll at least amount to 200cC." said Mama

"Ma'am, if you do not have the funds, leave the area immediately." said the security guard

"Sir I'll give you anything! please! I'll even offer my body! Just let me in! Or at least take in my baby!" said Mama

"We got a class 3 at gate 04, Requesting 2 guards to take designated target off premises." said the security guard

"For the sake of my child let him in!" says Mama while freaking out

"This is your final warning. Step off the premises or else we will be authorized to use force." says the security guard, this time with a firm voice

"Fine." said Mama with a Depressed voice.

It was now night in the streets. Without anywhere to go, Mama decided to setup camp in an alleyway nearby the wall. She then put Benjamin to sleep in her tent, then tried to fall asleep herself. However she could not. Suddenly she heard screams nearby of another woman. Which then stopped two minutes later. Knowing that it was most likely the Gutist killing people, she knew that her and Benjamin had to move. Mama quickly got up and out of the tent leaving Benjamin inside. She then looked around the area to see if there was anybody nearby and if its safe to leave.

There was no sign of anybody. So Mama started walking back to the tent, only to see a group of people wearing masks and one person with entrails around them like a necklace, sneaking up to the tent. She quickly hid behind a dumpster. She waited, hoping that something might happen to drive them off. But happened. Panicking, she tried to think fast and do something. She picked up a beer bottle inside the dumpster and smashed it. The Group of presumed Gutist members then immediately looked around the general area of where the bottle was smashed.

"See anything?" said a Gutist member

"No." said another Gutist member

"We are wasting time, I wanna carve some more flesh and eat more guts on this beautiful blood red night." said the gutist member with entrails around his neck.

Out of nowhere Mama charged at one of the members. She slammed the broken bottle right into the back of one of them.

"ARUGGH YOU BITCH!" said a member

The member then turned around and swung back with a knife. Only to miss and fall on the ground due to his spine getting hit.

Mama quickly landed another blow, right to the side of his chest, almost killing the member instantly.

The 2 other member's backed up. Then they quickly separated and ran to the sides near her. At the same time, they both charged right at her with knives in their hands. She was able to dodge one of them. But, the member with the entrails was able to land a blow right to her stomach. Mama then fell on the ground screaming in pain. When doing so, Benjamin woke up crying.

More Gutist members showed up to the area due to the screaming.

"Is that a child? said a member

"Sounds like one, take the woman and the guy she stabbed and string them up on the crosses. We shall not let their flesh and organs go to waist. And I shall have the child to feast on." says the Member with entrails

"Oi, Guty that ain't fair init? Let us have some of the baby's beautiful fresh flesh." said one of the members

"Shurn, Are you disobeying my words? My actions and words are in coherence with god. You do know the punishment for disobeying god's beautiful words? Now go string them up at the "Redeeming Grounds" while they're still alive." says member with entrails "Guty"

"I would never disobey gods beautiful divine will. I shall listen to his beautiful o'l words." said "Shurn"

Shurn then picked up Mama.

"AHHHHHH IT HURTS LET ME GO." said Mama

"Oi love, Shut the fuck up will ya? Just maybe I'll make your death painless by slicing your throat first." said Shurn

Another member also proceeded to pick up the member Mama stabbed. Then, Guty walked up to the tent. He saw Benjamin and then picked him up. Taking off his mask, he then smiled with a sinister look. It made Benjamin cry even more.

"Shhhhhh, shhhh. Now Whispering, Your time will come sweet child. You are gods child and must be sacrificed."

The group then left the area. Now heading to a site they call the "Redeeming Grounds." Mama passed out due to the pain. But when getting closer to the Redeeming Grounds, Mama woke up. While waking up she heard numerous screams from many people. She then opened her eyes, realizing she was stringed up on a cross. Mama starts to panic. Trying to figure out how to get off she looked to the left, only to see the member she stabbed also strung up on the cross. Except his ribcage and chest were completely ripped apart. The only thing that was left was his lungs which were simply dangling out. Panicking even more, she looked around trying to find Benjamin. However, the only thing she could see is even more crosses with people on them. Some alive, some dead.

A couple minutes later after hopelessly trying to escape off the cross, she gave up.

"You finally realized you ain't gonna make it outta here alive eh?" said a Man on the right side of Mama

"How long have you been here for?" said Mama

"Around a couple hours. I'm guessing that you're homeless too?" The Man said

"Why would you think that?" said Mama

"You like skinny and frail. Almost like you did not get to eat for a while now. You also got those Rugged old clothes. Also, you look very familiar. Do I know you?" The Man said

Mama now trying to dodge the question, she said

"Guess your right, Anyways what's your name?" said Mama

"Names Roland, what's yours?" says Roland

"My name is..."

Right before Mama was gonna say her name, a group of gutist showed up.

"For god's sake, how long do we have to wait?! I want to gut them so badly!" said one of them

"Be Patient young one. Once the ritual with the Child is complete, we shall feast." said another Gutist member

"Wha? What Ritual?!?! Where is my baby?!?!" said Mama

"Ah, So you were the woman with the child. The child shall be sacrificed and so as many others including you. It is gods divine will. Don't worry, it'll be nice and painless for the baby." said the Gutist member

"How can you do such a thing? It's a baby! What type of stupid beliefs are you into, you Psychopathic fuck." said Mama

"Those are words of nothing but a blind arrogant woman. Ignoring reality and the truth. But don't worry, we shall open you up and make you see the truth soon."

Mama now gaining the will to fight and get off the cross now revived itself. However, ten minutes later Mama got exhausted. From the malnutrition and the blood loss, Mama felt very weak and gave up again.

2 hours later...

"By the god, how long is this gonna take my fellow brothers, I can't hold on anymore. Where is Guty? Shouldn't the child already been dipped in blood and sacrificed already?" said Shurn

"I Don't know brother Shurn, but there is much time to wait, no time to rush." said a Gutist member

"Fuck it, I'm gonna go check the good o'l "Hall". That's where Guty should be yea?" said Shurn

Twenty minutes later...

"Hey Roland. What is this "Hall" they speak off?" said Mama

"It's a terrible place in the sewer where the main rituals happen. Filled with blood and organs all over the place. Why do you ask? I'm guessing that's where you're child is?" says Roland

"Ma... maybe. Wait, how do yo....." says Mama

Mama passes out without finishing her sentence due to the exhaustion from all the blood loss.

4 hours later...

"Hey! Miss! Wake up!" says Roland

"Wha.. What eh... What is it?" said Mama

"I Don't know, But something is goin on. All of the cultist are gone and went into the Hall and none of em returned." said Roland

"So what should we do?" says Mama with a weak voice

Roland was then able to get himself untied from the cross and falls down on the blood soaked ground.

"But how?" said Mama

"To be honest I untied myself long ago. I'm a Redeemer. My Friend and I got hired by a local security force. We were told to clean these crazy bastards out. Now seems like the right time to do so ain't it?" says Roland

"Then...… Please... Ca... can you save my child?" says Mama with a broken voice

"Sure thing. My friend should show up soon. He will take you to safety. But for now..."

Roland unties Mama from the cross, carrying her softly then laying her on the ground.

"You've got to rest for now. You lost a lot of blood and look very pale." says Roland

"Thank you..." said Mama

Roland then went into an alleyway, then changed his clothes from ragged clothing to a pristine black butler styled suit. Then he put on a pair of black gloves. With the gloves, he then summoned within a black mist a Double edged black Katana. Roland went back towards the Redeeming Grounds, except this time he took his Katana and slammed it into the ground by a sewer manhole. Causing a huge explosion, it created a massive hole that led directly into the sewers. He dropped down into the sewers and then looked around to make sure it was clear before he began his search for Benjamin.

"No matter where you are, you always gottta make some sort of big entrance huh? a person in the shadow's said

"Pff, that wouldn't be me now would it Archlight." says Roland

"Heh, Anyways I found something quite odd." says Archlight

"I don't blame you. This entire sewer filled with blood and dead bodies is odd enough." says Roland

"Not that, All the cultists I found are all already dead. The leader Guty is also missing. Not only that, But I found a baby that has an unspeakable amount of power for his age." says Archlight

"Ha, so you know about the child too. I also felt the unspeakable amount of power from him. So.... Where is he?" says Roland

Archlight then open's the left side of his Trench coat. Showing Benjamin hiding in his huge pocket.

"What a creep you are. Keepin a baby inside your pocket." says Roland

"Shutup Roland, our mission is already complete. Don't know who killed everybody but our job here is done. We could also take the baby too. I'm sure this child will be a valuable asset and powerful person in the future." says Archlight

"Sounds good, But something odd also occurred." says Roland

"Hmm?" Archlight mumbles

"I found "Her" while waiting outside on the cross." says Roland

"Her? I Have a funny feeling on whom you're talking about. Just yesterday when I was killing one of those Sinners, I saw a homeless woman that looked similar to "Her." But I didn't think much of it. Kill her and Lets get our cash and take the child." says Archlight

"Wait.... It's possible that "her" and the child are..." says Roland

It is now early morning. Mama wakes up. Confused, she finds herself on a bed. She gets up. Feeling a sharp pain near her stomach, she lifts her rugged shirt. She then sees her stomach bandaged up from the stab wound she gotten from the cultist member the day before. Even more confused, Mama then walks to a door. She was about to put her hand on the door knob, but the knob starts to turn on its own. She then fell over when the door opened.

"Ouch...." Mama mumbled

"Sorry! Didn't know you're up. Feeling okay?" says Roland

Roland reaches out his hand for Mama to grab. Mama Grabs it.

"Thanks. But..... What am I doing here. And who are you?" said Mama

"Did you forget? My name is Roland. You and I were on a cults deathbed yesterday. You were also looking for your child." says Roland

Mama quickly remembered everything with a flash of pain to her head. Mama then puts her hand on her head grunting in pain.

"Where... Where is Benjamin? Did you get him?" said Mama

"So his name is Benjamin? Don't worry he is in another room sleeping." says Roland

"I need to see him." said Mama

Mama then starts walking towards the door. But then Roland quickly stops her.

"Wait just a second. You look terrible, put these fresh clothes on. I brung some breakfast if you'd like." says Roland

Mama quickly put the new clothes on while Roland looked away. She went back on the bed and Roland served her 2 trays of premium and expensive looking food.

"Woah..... What is this? This type of food can only be found in a Habitat. Who are you?" said Mama

"Hahaha, I'm a Grade 4 Redeemer." I can't afford any of this stuff." says Roland

"Then who bought this food and where are we?"

Roland then walks up to a huge window in the room being covered by blinds. He opens the blinds. Mama then looks out the window from the bed.

She sees the huge wall's that separate the habitat and streets into two. She looks at the streets side from above. Seeing people begging to enter the habitat. She then looks down at the habitat side. Seeing crossing guards and police patrolling the streets in a professional manner.

"We are in Habitat D, Residential district." says Roland

Amazed for words, Mama simply stared out the window. Also realizing she is in one of the tallest skyscrapers in the Habitat.

"Anyways, Relax for a little bit and eat. After you finish come outside the room and ask one of the maids for directions to the Office Quarters. Me and my Friend will be waiting for you." says Roland

Mama looks at Roland and nods. Roland opens a door and leaves the room. Mama starts to eat the food like a wild animal once he left. After eating, Mama fell into a quick nap. Waking up 30 minutes later, She left the room and looked left and right. Only to see a huge hall with Room's all over the place.

Mama walked up to one of the maids cleaning the area.

"Hey, Roland told me to go to the Office Quarters. Do you know where it is?" said Mama

"Yes Ma'am. Please follow me." said the Maid with a quiet and gentle voice

The Maid led Mama into an elevator. Out of the 60 Floor's, the maid clicked the 26th. 15 seconds later, the elevator arrived at the 26th floor.

"Miss, If you take a right you would see a giant picture frame with a woman on it. On the left of the picture frame you would see another Hallway which would lead straight to the Office Quarters. Enjoy your stay." said the Maid

"Thank you." Said Mama

'It's My Pleasure." said the Maid while bowing

Mama walked down the hallway. Then she took a right and saw the giant picture frame with a woman having beautiful silver hair. Thinking not much of it, she took a left down the hallway as told. Now entering a huge open room, she saw a Pool table in the middle of the room. With Roland playing Pool by himself.

"Ah, you finally finished eating? Follow me." said Roland

Roland and Mama walked up to a huge door in front of the Pool table. Roland opened the door. Once the door opened, Mama was immediately greeted by a Man in a trench coat.

"Please sit." said the Man in the trench coat.

Mama sat down on a chair at the desk. Looking around the room, she noticed it looked pristine and had antique oak wood floors and walls. Roland went and closed the door behind her. The Man in the Trench coat with beautiful silver hair and a handsome looking face, sat down in his chair across the desk.

"I assume you know who I am, correct?" said the Man in the trench coat

"No I don't." Said Mama

"I am Archlight. A grade 1 Redeemer. I'm gonna get straight to the point." said Archlight

"No need to put up a fake persona, I know who you really are. You are Anabella. A grade 1 Redeemer once known as the "Death's hand." But now classified by the government as a Sinner after what you did a while back. To be honest, I wanted to kill you. If you did not know, you have a huge reward to be captured dead or alive. But Roland being a insisting guy at times, he was able to convince me to keep you alive. But that does not matter righ....... " said Archlight

"Where is Benjamin...." said Anabella "Mama" while interrupting Archlight

"I was just about to talk about him. Who's baby is that? I know for sure it's not yours since Roland told me your family was completely wiped out about 4 months ago by the other Redeemers and the Cannibals in the south part of the city."

"I... Don't know. I was looking around for food 2 days ago and I found him in an alleyway next to a dead man. I decided to take him in and take care of him." said Anabella

"I'm surprised you got so attached to the child you just met. Are you still mourning you're dead child from the attack 4 months ago? Dwelling in the past in this city is what kills you. If you don't move on, everyone else will. Anyways, I could care less about your past. I'm here to talk with you about giving you a future." said Archlight

"A future?" said Anabella

"I'm Willing to give you another chance at life. You and Benjamin can stay here in the habitat living with me under my protection. But only under one condition." said Archlight

"What is the condition." said Anabella

"Benjamin at the age of 8 will become a student under my guidance. He is very powerful even for his age. With my guidance, I will teach him the way of becoming a Redeemer. This training might kill him or make him go insane. But if he succeeds, he will become one of the most powerful Redeemers of our time."

"Okay." said Anabella
