《I Will Slay Everything》Chapter 10

"Returning to where Mevis is, and asking for his help would be pointless. Unless I become his disciple, he'll never help me out even if I die in front of him. But I also can't take the risk to become his disciple, and become one of his controlled puppets. So, I guess I could only move forward. Approaching the mountain with the mysterious black tree was dangerous. Even though I haven't seen a demonic being before, I'm sure they're powerful creatures seeing them living in this kind of environment. I guess I really had no choice but to move forward for now." Wei Xiaodan thought about it for so long and finally decided where he should go.
Heading towards the black tree is too risky, and so returning to where Mevis is, and asking for his help would be pointless, which only leaves him moving forward and enduring the pain he had experienced earlier.
A man should face hell when necessary.
Even though he's not one of those guys whose beliefs about justice are unmeasurable, at least, he still has the resolve to move forward in order to achieve his goal.
To punish someone who's a great evil, one should leave it to fate. But Wei Xiaodan's no priest. Unless he slayed them himself, he wouldn't be satisfied. So with his steeled resolve, Wei Xiaodan took a step forward and soon, the intense heat entered his body and almost knocked out his consciousness. Fortunately, he's strong mentally. If not, he would have fallen into the ground waiting for his body to turn into ashes right about now.
Wei Xiaodan gritted his teeth, and took an another step forward. Although he still couldn't see the end of the road, he's already about to lose his consciousness even though he had only taken two steps forward so far. Despair immediately gleamed a hue in his eyes. If it's not for the fact he has the strong urge for vengeance, he would have given up by now or have chosen to become Mevis disciple.

Once the third step was taken, his immediately distorted as one of his skin started burning in flames. The flames were under his skin, but not at all spreading. It was as if the flames has life on its own.
Wei Xiaodan endured the pain, as he kept moving forward. Everytime he took a step, he would almost lose his consciousness as if his soul was about to leave his body.
And at the 25th step, Wei Xiaodan's eyes rolled out and turned into white. He still couldn't see the road ahead, and could only spot the vast road which seemingly had no end, under his eyes. At that moment, Wei Xiaodan finally let go of his consciousness. His eyes were filled with regret. Although he was given a second chance to live, in the end, it seemed like he'll waste it again and die a second time in here.
As his consciousness started fading away, his eyes could no longer see anything. It was pure white by now. He guessed he's on death's door right about now. The intense heat that was torturing his body earlier, could no longer be felt. It was as if his mind stopped thinking about the pain as his skin burned in flames.
He could no longer hear anything. It was as if he had been deaf from the very beginning. He lost the ability to hear a thing. Not even the sound of the wind he could vaguely hear earlier could be heard.
Mevis descended from the sky and landed to the land where Wei Xiaodan was busy, grunting in pain. He could guess that he's already close to death by now. Without hesitation, Mevis carried his body and brought him into his tiny house and laid his body on his majestic bed that was doubled in size. Even though the wounds and flames had already dissipated and gone, Wei Xiaodan still hasn't regained his consciousness which made Mevis be soaked in sweat.

He knew that Wei Xiaodan would force his way out, and would soon try to cross to the other side, one of the seven kings of hell's territory in order to find a way home but still didn't stopped him. Since he couldn't be stopped by words, he could only give him an example, but he never thought Wei Xiaodan would be this stubborn. He even got himself almost killed after all. If Mevis didn't arrived in time, Wei Xiaodan would be in heaven by now. Fortunately, he observed him using one of his abilities and when he saw that he was about to die, rushed out and saved him.
Mevis sighed under his breath. His eyes were staring at the innocent face of Wei Xiaodan.
Wei Xiaodan really gave him such a huge trouble, but still revealed a warming smile under his face.
And after a while, shrugged his shoulders as if he had already expected this much.
"Well, since he's going to be my disciple in the future, I guess it's common for him to be this stubborn. Dang, was I his genuine father or something, why do he resemble me so much back in my age." Mevis muttered to himself while staring deeply at the innocent sleeping face of Wei Xiaodan. "Just from looking at him alone, I could remember how troublemaker I was in the past. Even the time when I shook the whole hell and let them know my name, and made those superior beings bow before me. I could remember it clearly just by looking at his face. I guess I have to get ready then. Sooner or later, It'll be his turn so I'll definitely make sure to turn him into a real man once he wakes up. A man that will shook the entire hell, and even make those gods he despised lick his feets."
Mevis cackled out in a devilish way. His laughter echoed in the whole room as if he was the only living being there, and made the ground and wall tremble from his laughter alone.
