《I've Transmigrated... with a Broken System》Chapter 2: What? A boy? 8 years old?

Renard's senses started to return after the light around him disappeared. He was in a void, there was nothing around him and he didn't have a body any more. Strangely, he felt like he still had his body though. He could touch parts of where his body should have been and he could feel it. Doing this however, took a lot of effort as it felt like he was completely submerged in syrup. This caused his movements to be slow.
*DING* A sound suddenly rang inside his mind as he arrived, followed by a robotic voice that he had heard when the system activated.

Renard was stunned. So many thoughts came rushing through his head. 'Who was that girl? Will I see her again? How did I die? Where am I going?'
After taking a moment to clear the unnecessary thoughts from his mind, Renard realised a major mistake he had made. 'She wore translucent clothes! WHY DIDN'T I PAY CLOSER ATTENTION?!'
He was facing a massive tragedy; his memory recall was reaching new heights, all those test answers he had forgotten appeared within his mind but not what was beneath that girl's clothes.
Renard sighed, 'I am going to have an internal demon from this.' Despair started to seep into the depths of his heart, when the ringing on an alarm exploded in his mind.
*VRIIING* *VRIIING*
[EMERGENCY DETECTED! Initiating 'Emergency Self-Preservation Protocol'.]
[Lethal inner demon detected. Resolving!]
At this moment, Renard's clouded memories started to clear with the aid of the system. The image in his mind was becoming clear. Renard had an epiphany. 'The Almighty System is the greatest.' If his body had existed at this moment, it would be burning hot.

Renard's tears continued to flow for the whole 3 hours. A majestic lake that contained a boundless amount of despair had formed beneath where Renard's conciseness floated and a new even stronger inner demon had been born within him.

[Your emotions have stabilised.]
Renard's mind cleared making him feel relieved and reassured. 'I will definitely see her in the future! She guaranteed it herself. Not being able to remember is fine. How can that compare to seeing it again in reality!' Thanks to this encounter, Renard had become less susceptible to his emotions.
Now that his mind was no longer focused on what was under Lucy's clothes, he began contemplating when he first saw her. He remembered her cascading golden hair that flowed down to her waist, perfect ocean blue eyes that seemed so deep you could lose your soul. Plum lips that rivalled the most powerful succubus and her face was perfectly symmetrical which exuded her boundless beauty. Renard finally realised the extent of her beauty, she was so perfect that it was almost unnatural. In his old life, Renard would have definitely suspected that plastic surgery was involved.

Renard was lost in his memory of her when his face turned, he remembered the scream. Her voice echoed in his ears. 'I remember now why I didn't notice the beauty the first time. That piercing voice acts like a complete counter-balance to her magnificence.' Before he could ponder more on the meaning of his encounter with Lucy, the noise came again.
*DING*

In an instant, he knew the answer. 'Please, King, my entire life I have been nothing, this is my chance. Let me have riches of a kingdom.' All his life Renard had dreamt of being in supreme power. He wanted to be on top of everyone. He was given the offer of getting it for free. There was no hesitation.

Renard read the words that had appeared in front of his eyes. If he were honest with himself, he would have known that this was expected especially with how arrogant he was being. However, at that moment, Renard was not that type of person. He was irrational and wanted to let out his frustration.
"FU*K!"
The scream echoed across the great plain that he now stood on. Lush green grass swayed around him in the wind. The sweet smell of blooming flowers entered his nose. What lay in his eyes was his new world, the almost boundless horizon stretched out in front of him, the sunrise in the distance was the first of the newly created world. It held a unexplainable serenity that calmed his soul.
'I guess its not so bad.'

Sometimes my voice dies in my throat, buries itself beneath waves of crippling suffocation, burns itself out as cold hands tear at my laced skin. I have smiled while my eyes have cried and pleaded, my wrists numb, my lips wobbling and blue, and stars escaping this dark night that I'm trapped in. I long for a darkness that gives way to light. But I do feel the warmth of petals gathering and scattering in my cold bones, and imagine the touch and the sweetness of a kiss, and my heart rises to the surface of this sea and finds a sky painted by passing artists remaining far above our heads. I'm breathing out all the words I've kept locked under the pages of my breaking mind. And by doing so, I'm going to heal.TRIGGER WARNINGS: depression, anxiety, self harm, suicidal thoughts, OCD, panic attacks
