《Realistic Tower of God: The Martial Way》Chapter 58- Workshop Battle Part 6

As the two regulars spoke out loudly, Liu Guanyi looked ahead and saw a tunnel just a dozen meters apart from them, it was dark so the two regulars only noticed when the light from the lighthouse had reached it.
They quickly came over and observed the tunnel closely. The tunnel was big, around four meters in height and nine meters in width. Looked like it was designed for many people to be able to pass together even if the regulars had big frames like those hybrids.
The tunnel was naturally darker than the outside. The light from their lighthouse only uncovered a little part of the tunnel's entrance as the rest stretched long, far into the darkness as if it was the mouth of a giant serpent.
"Let's go inside, we will move at a slower pace to observe the inside of the tunnel so peel off your eyes and pay attention to anything noteworthy." Liu Guanyi ordered as he went into the tunnel.
Both of them nodded in relief as they followed suit, at least they weren't running so fast anymore.
Liu Guanyi walked slowly as he took his time to fully observe the tunnel. With his incredible eye-sight, he could easily see in the darkness as if it was daytime.
Not only that, he could see as twice as far from the maximum ranger of normal eyesight though he could see further if it wasn't as dark.
There was nothing in the tunnel for a few hundred meters, no living beings beside them nor any structures, just a straight path ahead.
Seeing this, Liu Guanyi decided to not waste more time as he grabbed the two regulars and put them on his shoulders, and ran at his top speed!
"W-what, what are you doing, sir?!" They shouted in panic as he dragged them instantly without any explanation.

"Shut up, you two are too slow. We won't find the other tunnels with you slowing me down, so just be quiet for now, you will have your own uses later." Liu Guanyi shut them up with his cold voice.
Without the two slowing him, he ran really quickly in the darkness even without the lighthouse or any observers to direct him.
The two regulars were slack-jawed with his speed and senses, never had they thought that he could actually move very fast as they felt the wind hitting their faces, but they were more surprised about his sharp senses.
He wasn't hindered by the darkness at all!
Did he already master shinsu sensing expertly?
No wonder he could climb the tower together with a princess of Zahard. If they were princesses of Zahard, they would still invite him as well. His skills were just that amazing for an E-ranked regular.
He could even be better than higher-ranked regulars as a scout and as a fisherman with his incredible physical ability.
As Liu Guanyi continued to run faster and faster and after a few minutes, he finally saw a branching road just ahead of them. He quickly approached it and saw it clearly, it was five smaller tunnels that led to many directions.
He dropped the two regulars and said. "It's time for you to work. There are five branching tunnels so you two have to part away and choose one of them."
"You understand that without working together, your chances are low and you will drown to death once the sixty-minute mark passes right?"
Both of them looked at each other and nodded in acknowledgment. "As long as you keep your promise to let us go after we find the correct tunnel, we will help you."

Liu Guanyi smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, as long as you give me the information when you find the correct tunnel, you can simply go away using the tunnel and I can't follow you."
He stopped as his tone became colder. "However, if you find the tunnel and don't inform me... you better have a good connection to one of the ten great families."
"Say no more, sir, we understand our position." They spoke with a respectful voice.
Seeing this, a smile curled upon his face, dealing with smart people was easy, but if they were too smart for their own good… "Good, now each of you choose one of the five tunnels and use your lighthouse and observer to search as efficiently as possible."
The regular chose the first one from the right, and his friend chose the second one from the right. After seeing them off to the tunnels, Liu Guanyi simply went into the leftmost tunnel without any hesitation.
He was more of a logical person than a superstitious person so he didn't need to roll a coin to determine where he should go, it didn't matter to him.
There were five tunnels and there were three people so if one of the tunnels were the correct one, he had a three-fifths chance to find the correct one.
However, there was also a possibility that none of these were the correct ones so harping over it would only delay him and with almost twenty minutes passed from the one-hour time, now, he was under a tight constraint of time.
Who knew if there was a regular who already found the correct tunnel?
Regardless of what happened, Liu Guanyi had to get the observer at least. If not, the time and risks he had taken in the Workshop battle would be meaningless.
He quickly resumed his running and traversed the tunnel with full concentration, uncaring of anything else. However, even after running very fast for thirty seconds, he still hadn't reached the end of the tunnel.
'This won't do, it seems I have to reveal some of my ability even more to get the result. They can determine which regular for which team who kills other regulars since they made kill count as the requirement to get Red Shark.'
'However, this event itself isn't that important to the Workshop since only E-ranked regulars are the participants and it's conducted every five years or so.
'With the lifespan of the people in the tower, five years are nothing, especially to the powerful Rankers in the Workshop so they should not bother to observe every regular very closely.'
'Then…' Liu Guanyi calculated in his mind and decided to use more than the basic shinsu strengthening.
