《Zenith》6 - The First Dungeon : Snowclad Moon

I checked and found out that i had 215 AP and 13 SP. To distribute the AP, i decided that i needed more damage, agility, health and mana. So, i added 75 points to Strength, 50 points to agility, 50 points to health and 40 points to intelligence (intelligence increases magic power as well as the mana). I added all my SP to my [Glory of sword] skill. I managed to level the skill all the way upto lvl 9. I was hoping to max it but apparently, 2 SP points are needed to level after the skill reaches lvl 5. My stats had risen by a quite a lot.
Player: Enryuu
Lvl: 10
Damage: 240-250
HP: 1200
Defense: 30
Magic power: 85
MP: 300
Not bad, not bad at all
Then, i looked up the city rankings to check how much i was ahead of others. The top 5 were:
1. Enryuu - lvl 10
2. Lemonade - lvl 8
3. Sorrow - lvl 8
4. Mahzino - lvl 7
5. Not noob - lvl 7
There is still time for them to catch up.
The first dungeon was available at lvl 10 and with my OP sword, i was confident that i could beat it. I checked the map and went up to the dungeon. The dungeon's name was "Snowclad Moon".
Dungeons were of 3 difficulties: [Noob mode], [Normal mode] and [Hardcore mode]. The [Hardcore mode] would obvoiusly give better rewards so i chose the [Harcore mode] without hesitation.
As soon as i entered, I noticed that the place was f*ckin cold. I went to settings and lowered the temperature realism setting. After my mind recovered from the numbness i felt due to the sudden drop in temperature, i looked around. The first thing i saw was that this place was vast yet, small. There was only a thin path of ice which i could use to walk through and everything else would fall in abyss. I looked down through the edge of the path and found that i could not even see the bottom of the abyss. The sky was white, full white, without anything disturbing it's purity. I looked straight and saw that the path would lead me to a huge black door. The door was the only thing that was not white, making it very noticable. I started to walk towards the door. The door was very far away and the path was at least 1 km long. As i walked through i heard a sizzling sound. I observed and found that the ice was slowy getting thinner. I looked from the edge and saw a faint orange colour rising from the abyss. That was probably magma. Now, there was only one thing i needed to do and only one thing on my mind-

"RUN!!!"
I panicked and started to run as fast as possible. After a few minutes and still about 400 metres from the door i started to hear some crack sounds. I knew this would lead to failure and that was something i am not allowed. I calmed myself and asked myself some questions.
What can i do to lengthen the time required for the ice to break as much as possible?
There was only one thing i can do and that is to lessen the pressure i apply on the ice.
How can i lessen the pressure on the ice?
I should maximixe the surface area of the part of my sole which touches the ground as much as possible and avoid running on toes.
After i was conscious about this, i immediately started avoid running on toes and ran with my whole sole touching the ground. After 5 minutes, the path behind me started to break. I still had to run about 100 metres and my stamina was starting to reach it's bottom. It looked like even after i did all that and used physics, failure was inevitable. And that's when an idea struck me.
Hah! im f*cking genius
That was what i thought but i still didn't know whether this idea would work or not. I ran using up the last bits of my stamina and when the ice on which i was on was going to break, I cast the [Glory of sword] skill on the door. After leveling up to lvl 9, the sword's range had increased to 150 yards, making it possible for me to target the door. My [Pandora's Sword] was drawn automatically and became a gold tier sword. The sword started to float above my head and a bunch of it's clones appeared. I jumped and just as it was gonna move, i managed to catch it's handle. Even if i was a millisecond late, i would have probably missed. With my heart in my mouth i flew along with my sword at a very high speed looking down in the abyss. The magma could be seen clearly and it was rising every second. Just after a quick 5 seconds, i arrived at the door. I released my grip from the handle and jumped down to the remaining part of ice. I took a deep breath and opened the door.

Godfather Of Champions
This is a story about the pursuit of victory.— «I subscribe only to the theory of victory. I only pursue victory. As long as I am able to obtain victory, I don’t care if it’s total football or counterattack. What is the ultimate goal of professional soccer? In my opinion, it is victory, and the pinnacle of victory is to become the champions. I am a manager. If I don’t wish to lose my job or be forgotten by the people, there’s only one path for me to take, and that is to lead the team in obtaining victories, in obtaining championship titles!»The main character was not well-liked by people.— «⋯We conducted a survey which had been deemed by Manager Tony Twain as extremely meaningless. In a random street survey conducted, ninety-three percent of those surveyed chose the option ‘I hate Tony Twain’, while only seven percent chose the option ‘This person is rather decent, I like him’. It is worth noting that nobody chose the option ‘Who is Tony Twain? I don’t know him’. Mark, do you know why Manager Twain felt that our survey was very meaningless?» Parker, a reporter from laughed loudly and said when he was being interviewed by BBC.But there were also people who were madly in love with him.— When Tony Twain was forced to talk about the survey conducted by during an interview, his reply was : «I am happy, because Nottingham Forest’s fans make up seven percent of England’s population.»And he did not seem to care about how the others saw him.— «What are you all trying to make me say? Admit that I am not popular, and everywhere I go will be filled with jeers and middle fingers. You all think I will be afraid? Wrong! Because I am able to bring victory to my team and its supporters. I don’t care how many people hate me and can’t wait to kill me, and I also won’t change myself to accommodate the mood of these losers. You want to improve your mood? Very simple, come and defeat me.»His love story had garnered widespread attention.— «Our reporters took these pictures at Manager Tony Twain’s doorsteps. It clearly shows that Shania entered his house at 8.34pm and she did not leave the house throughout the night at all. But Manager Tony Twain firmly denies, and insists that that was merely the newest-model inflatable doll which he had ordered. He was the number one star of the team.— «⋯ Became the spokesperson of world-wide famous clothing brands, shot advertisements, frequented the fashion industry’s award ceremonies, endorsed electronic games, has a supermodel girlfriend. His earnings from advertisements exceed his club salary by seventeen times, owns a special column in various print medias, publishing his autobiography (in progress), and is even said that he is planning to shoot an inspirational film based off his own person experiences! Who can tell me which part of his life experiences is worthy of being called ‘inspirational’? Hold on⋯. Are you all thinking that I’m referring to David Beckham? You’re sorely mistaken! I’m talking about Manager Tony Twain⋯.»He was very knowledgeable about Chinese soccer.— «⋯ I’ve heard about it, that Bora gifted four books to his manager Mr. Zhu before your country’s national team’s warm up match. After which, the team lost 1:3 to a nameless American team from Major League Soccer. The new excuse that Mr. Zhu gave for losing the match, was that Bora gifted «books» (‘books’ and ‘lose’ are homophones in the Chinese language). Here, I recommend that you guys find out what that one specific book is. Which book? Of course the one that caused you all to score a goal. After that, tell me the title of the book. Before every match, I will gift ten copies of that same book to you. In that case, won’t you all be able to get a triumphant 10:0 win over your opponents every time?» An excerpt taken from Tony Twain’s special column in a certain famous Chinese sports newspaper. He was loved and hated by the press.— «He has a special column in at least four renowned print media, and he is able to get a considerable amount of remuneration just by scolding people or writing a few hundred words of nonsense weekly. While we have to contemplate hard about our drafts for three days before our boss is pleased with it. In an article inside his special column, he scolded and called all of the media ‘son of a bitch’, announcing that he hated the media the most. But every time he publishes an article, we flock towards him like flies which had spotted butter. Why? Because the readers like to read his news and see him scold people. I dare to bet with you, and Manager Tony Twain knows clearly in his heart as well, that even though he says that he hates us, he knows that the present him cannot do without us. Similarly, we also cannot do without him. Is this ultimately considered a good or a bad thing?» Bruce Pearce, a reporter from said with a face of helplessness when talking about Tony Twain. But no matter the case, his players were his most loyal believers.— Gareth Bale, «No no, we never had any pressure when playing on our home grounds. Because the pressure is all on the manager. As long as we see him standing by the side of the field, all of us will feel that we will be able to win that match. Even the football hooligans are like meek lambs in front of him!» (After saying this, he began to laugh out loudly)The reply from George Wood, the team captain of Nottingham Forest, was the most straightforward. «We follow him because he can bring us victory.»The legendary experience of Tony Twain, the richest, most successful, most controversial manager with the most unique personality!Debuting this summer.Thank you for reading.

A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.

OutRage: Total Realism.
What happens when a game company strives for total immersion and realism from a VRMMO?Players require food, sleep, personal hygeine, air to breathe and everything else required for life. The up side is that its still a game, Players respawn, can use magic, can basically do anything they want with obvious exceptions like: not going to prison for assassinating a ruling monarch, not that you cant do it only that its very hard to do.In comes our protagonist a university student majoring in the sciences, namely chemistry. His name is Henry Jacobs, 19 years old and a complete loner.A new VRMMO game was annouced and it bragged and boasted about how it would be the first in a new era of VR gaming as it would give the game a total of 100% realism, meaning when you get hit it hurts, when you walk into a dungeon full of zombies it will stink as you'd expect like rottting corpses. This game is titled Outrage: Total Realism. Which was a joke made by the publishers knowing how most people would be either excited or enraged.
