Chapter 0: Prologue Twins / Weakening

“Hey, lime. You ready?” Evan asked

“Yes, dear. This seems like it will be fun!” Lime said

“Alright, then I’ll do it…… now!” Evan said

He snapped his fingers, and everything seemed weird.

Evan looked around.

He had reincarnated successfully.

He saw who had just given birth to him.

He met his new mother, and he saw his new father.

“Congratulations on having twins!” A voice said

“Twins? Wait, I have a twin? That might be pretty cool.” Evan thought

He fell asleep after a few minutes.

Evan woke up in a cradle, next to another baby who seemed to be his twin. They both had blood red eyes, and silver hair. He had a twin sister.

Something was odd. She was behaving weirdly.

“Lime? Is that you?” Evan asked

Or at least tried to. It came out like it normally would. Sounds, not words. He would have to wait for a while before he could properly speak. He watched his sister though. It was lime. No matter how he looked at it. Well it was obvious when he used his mana to check hers. Lime was his twin sister.

“Interesting. Kinda. Wait…. I’m not able to marry lime then, am I? Oh, dear. This is a slight headache.” Evan thought

He chose to wait

7 months passed, and he could speak.

“Ahhh Ahh ahhhh. Hellllooooo hhheeeeellllloooo. One two three. Testing. Got it! Alrighty then.” Evan said

He turned around to face lime

“Lime, can you speak yet? Are you okay?” Evan asked

“Ungg…” lime said

Evan poked her sleeping cheek

“Fwee~” lime let out a cute sound

“Cute.” Evan said

He waited for lime to wake up. She did.

“Lime! Are you alright?!” Evan asked

“Um. Yeah, I think I’m fine. This body is incredibly weak though.” Lime said

“Uh, are you able to use magic?” Evan asked

“Barely. It’s not enough to do anything about my current condition. I won’t be able to make it in time, either. This body is so weak that it’s going to cripple itself.” Lime said

“Don’t worry, I’m here.” Evan said

“Mhmm. You always are.” Lime said, falling back asleep out of exhaustion.

Evan started to heal her using magic

“I can make it so she will live, and not be stuck in a chair. But she probably won’t be able to throw a baseball. Whatever, if it comes to that I can just do all of her heavy lifting. I’m not sure about magic though. We can’t die from our physical form being destroyed, but then lime couldn’t stay, and my sister would be dead. I’m not letting that happen.”

Evan used his power and stabilized her condition

“She should be fine for now.” Evan said

“Finally, I can rest.” Evan said. He fell asleep

Chapter 1: Childhood / Vampires

A year passed

“Evan, over here!” Lime said

“Gimme a sec, lime!” Evan said, running after her

They had been born into great wealth.

They were playing in the vast garden on their estate, lush and green. It held secrets around every corner.

“But it’s something awesome!” Lime said

“Don’t push yourself lime.” Evan said

“Yes yes, I get it dear. But look! Isn’t it cool?” Lime asked

She pointed at a hill.

“Wait, you found a way to get on the hill? Awesome!” Evan said

“Mhmm. We can see the world around us from up there.” Lime said

The reached the top of the hill, and were able to look out over the tall walls that surrounded the estate

“Lime, by any chance, is this japan? Are we in Japan again? AWESOME!” Evan said

“We’re in Japan almost every other time we do this. I wonder what dimension this is though.” Lime asked

“Well, from what I’ve read in the library-“ evan started

“Young….ha….ha…. master!! Wait… fo….ha ha… for me.” A young man said

He regained his breath

“Young master, lady keiko. Please don’t run off without people with you.” The boy said

“Kono, I told you to call me lime.” Lime said

“But-“ kono started

“No buts. Call her lime.” Evan said

“Sorry, young master. Sorry, lady ke-lime. Lady lime.” Kono said

“See, it’s that easy Kono.” Evan said

“Young master, young miss… what am I to do with you?” Kono asked, sighing

“I’m not sure. Maybe teach us about what the world is like?” Evan asked

“Yeah!” Lime said

“Fine. What do you want to hear today?” Kono asked

“Please don’t choose horror stories” Kono thought

“Hmm. What’s school like?” Evan asked

Kono sighed, relieved

“Don’t you want to listen to horror?” Lime asked

Kono tensed up

“Oh, yeah. Kono doesn’t seem to be very fond of horror though. I think we should give him a break. Just this once .” Evan said, laughing

“Once?! Young master! You monster! Why not ask kohana?!” Kono cried

“Yeah, but your sister loves horror. Your stories are scarier, your imagination makes it seem worse so your stories feel much more intense because you scare yourself. Plus she doesn’t let go of me.” Evan said

“Young master has a point about the second part.” Kono conceded

“Yeah. Anyways, it makes lime mad and jealous.” Evan said

“That’s because you’re mine. Mine and only mine. No one else in this world can have you. Only me. Hmph!” Lime said

“Those puffed up cheeks are so dang cute!” Evan said

“Mmmrgh.” Lime said

“As it always has been.” Evan said, poking lime

“And as it always shall be!!” Lime yelled, grinning

“I am yours, as you are mine!” Evan said

“You are mine, as I am yours!” Lime said

Lime hugged evan

“I wish I could do more!” Lime complained

“So do I…” Evan said

“Well we still have our rings. At least we have that.” Evan said, holding up his left hand, revealing a ring that seemed to be made of literal crystallized darkness.

“Yes. We still have each other, as well.” Lime said, holding up her left hand, revealing a ring that seemed to be made of literal crystallized light.

“Well of course. We always have that.” Evan said

“Plus, moms’ okay with it. She supports us!” Lime said

“She truly is a kind mother.” Evan said

“It’s almost time for dinner, you two.” Kono said.

“Kono, what do you think?” Lime asked

“Hm?” Kono asked

“About me and my brothers love. What’s your opinion?” Lime asked

“That… honestly you two are so perfect together that it’s a tragedy you guys are siblings. I support you guys, but it’s still wrong unfortunately. I’m not sure exactly how it applies to you guys however. I may work for you, but that doesn’t mean I understand exactly how genetics works in vampires. If it even works at all. Before you two, I didn’t even think vampires could have children.” Kono said

“Speaking of, why did you continue to work with us after learning about us?” Evan asked

“Young master, that’s quite a long story. I’ll tell you next time we go up on the hill.” Kono said

“True, it is dinner time. And it’s getting dark.” Evan said

“I’m still surprised that vampires can live off of normal food. I figured that most of the stuff in the stories was mere convenience.” Kono said

“Well, drinking blood means something important. There’s a reason they say it like that in the stories.” Evan replied

“Oh, yeah. That. I guess it’s understandable that you wouldn’t just drink blood randomly.” Kono said

“Oh, Kono, we’ll talk later, it’s our family time.” Evan said, smiling
