《Mega Cringe: Dab》Chapter 17 - The Z U C C

The scenery changed quickly. Something they are used to seeing but the scenery was one that they never saw before. They were surrounded by dry ground as far as the eye can see.
“Man was that so called god high when he sent us? There is nothing here!”
A shocked sound voiced from behind them.
“What? What are you doing here?”
They turned around and saw Marculius Zurcberius standing behind them. He was standing next to a glass cube in which he instantly went in and locked the doors. The inside of it was completely empty except the glass table that Marc stood behind. Terin looked at Copy and she knew exactly what he was thinking.
“Look I know. We could have instantly killed him, but if we did that where
would the fun be? It’s the final boss, we gotta make it exciting you know.”
“You cannot defeat me! This glass box is impenetrable!
“Ooh, saying he can’t be beaten, nice nice. Now this is starting to feel like a final boss!”
“I will show you. I will show the whole world. All my life I was bullied. As a teenager I was bullied for being a nerd. No one liked me. Whatever girl I tried to talk she would just reject me. So I worked hard. I worked hard and created my own personal region. One of the most successful ones. I was the most successful person on this world. The bullying had to stop. But did it? Of course not! If anything it increased! People kept making fun of me, saying I am a reptilian or an android. I tried to ignore it and treat it as just jealousy. But it happened so much and so often. I pretend like I don’t know what it means or like I don’t care and it just increases. There was never winning against these people! So I will show them. I created the project “Z U C C”. If they liked zucc so much I will suck their minds away. First I took revenge on your leader. He just loved creating memes about me, Now I’ll take revenge on you! Your dab that you and all the other so called “memers” like. Anyone who commits it will become mind controlled under me. The thing you love so much will be destroyed and used as my weapon. Mwahahaha.”
“Uuuwaaaa! He did a long boring speech no one cares about AND he had a really bad evil laugh at the end! See I told you this is a proper final boss!”
“You won’t be able to disrespect me more! Behold my weapon! A machine stronger than CPR-S itself! A reptile and an android in one, just what you wanted me to be!”
The ground next to the glass cube opened and a platform began to ascend. On it there was a machine similar in form to CPR-S but where it’s core is supposed to be was a glass ball. Inside the glass ball there was a lizard. This weapon might not have invulnerability like CPR-S did but Copy and Terin didn’t dare to underestimate it.
“Copy, listen. That lizard is probably the key to that machine operations. We need to target it. You got a new drill weapon so it’s the perfect time to drill through it. I’ll launch a frontal attack you look for an opening. Once you have it drill a hole inside and detonate the strongest explosive you have in there. Got it?”
“Sounds simple enough. What if it has a backup power and it can work off AI? He did say it’s a mix between a reptile and an AI.”

“It’s most likely going to be weakened. I’ll keep it busy myself. You try to find a way to get to Marc and kill him.”
“Got it.”
The lift reached the top and the lights on the machine turned on. Copy and Terin were prepared for the worst. The spider-like machine started walking towards. Suddenly it stopped. It started going the other way. 2 of its legs started hitting the glass ball where the lizard was in. The glass ball lowered itself to the ground attempting to enter the crack on the ground. The legs attempted to move forward but were being stopped by the glass ball. It kept going around to every crack and tried to enter and fail on every one. Soon after the machine was very distant.
“Uhh super weapon ending up being useless. That’s also a boss trope but for comedy stories. I didn’t think our story was that comedic.”
“Comedy is subjective.”
“Well true. Mr Marc, can you do something interesting? Nothing happened so far, it’s getting kinda boring.”
“You just can’t stop bullying me, can you? Well whatever, there is no need to fight you. Once I engage “Z U C C” the world will be mine. And thanks to the famous Dab Master here going around all regions and destroying the community's most hated enemies, dabbing has never been more popular. You unintelligent people are so easy to predict! You thought me losing my godlike to enter the Deep Fried dimension was because I am stupid? Wel you are the stupid ones, you came here and did exactly as I predicted.”
“The boss doing something very stupid that makes no sense. Check.”
“What was stupid about that! Your intellect just can’t handle how smart I am!”
“You could have just said you will be in Deep Fried dimension but actually stayed in HeadNovel?”
“Shut up! It’s time to active the Z U C C!”
Inside the glass box Marc was hitting something on the glass table. Copy and Terin were observing to see what will happen. They didn’t want to risk being baited into the trap.
“There is no trap. There is only your doom! Say goodbye to dabbing!”
Terin could feel faint energy coming out of the glass box.
“I will not lose!”
Terin performed a classic dab. There was no power in it. He did it not to gain the power to fight but to show that nothing will stop him from dabbing. All the energy concentrated towards him.
“This… This is impossible!”
“Nice! The final boss being shocked at the main character’s power! So far so good.”
“Copy!” - This was the first time Terin angrily yelled at her. - “Stop screwing around and do something!”
He could feel something eating away at him. It was difficult to remain still. His entire body was shaking. He could only keep his hands still. There will be no compromises when it comes to dabs. Copy was startled by his yelling but once she looked at him she realised the situation was dire. She turned her hand into the drill and rushed towards the glass box. The drill started spinning and hit the glass box. It was deflected but the box bounced back a bit. She took a better stance and drove it once again. The drill was slipping on the glass and there wasn’t even a scratch. She decided not to dull the drill any longer. Terin couldn’t stand any longer and fell to his knees. His arms still didn’t twitch as he fell down.

“Hey Mr. Zucc, how heavy is this box?”
“What do you mean?”
Copy started drilling underneath the box. The drill was big enough for her entire body to pass the tunnel as she was digging. She went completely under Marc’s box. She unloaded all her explosives and exited the tunnel. Detonation happened. Copy didn’t expect for the explosion to be that large so she didn’t bother to brace for it. The shockwave was huge. It sent the box flying upwards and Copy flying away from Terin. Marculius Zurcberius was just a normal human. The fall from that distance would kill any human. Her being blown away wasn’t according to the plan but it was still a success. Terin expected the explosion to be large so he opened his palms towards it. It took a great deal of strength but he wasn’t going to stop the dab no matter what. The Block Dab succeeded and he was standing still in his place.
A black shadow flew in the air. It was the lizard android from before. It reached the glass and grabbed it with it’s legs. Turning on its jets it slowed down the fall of the box. It landed safely. Marc saw the weakened Terin and abandoned the safety of his box. He left the box and pulled out a pistol and aimed it at Terin’s forehead. Copy was blown too far away for her to save him. The gun fired. Blood spurted out and Terin fell. His hands didn’t want to give up and they stayed in the same position as he fell on the ground. The dry ground quickly absorbed the blood that was dripping.
“Go finish off the machine.”
Marc hurried back towards the box to fix the broken Z U C C.
“You forgot to do the long monologue before killing the hero so he can be saved at the end.”
“What? How are you still alive?”
“The Dab Gods gave me the power after seeing my dedication to it.”
Terin had no clue why he was still alive but he just said it to scare Marc. He felt immense strength emanating from him. The lizard android blocked the path to Marc and Terin punched it in the leg. It instantly split in two. As it lost balance the glass ball was in Terin’s sight. The lizard inside of it was dead but the ball still connected all the limbs. He grabbed it and pulled it with all his strength ripping it out and disconnecting all other limbs. The battle was quick but it still allowed Marc to lock himself up in the glass box.
The Dab Master didn’t care. He kept going towards the box. Marc backed away from the wall. Punch after punch came and the glass slowly started to crack until it finally broke. The flying shards flew everywhere and a few stabbed Marc. While Terin was still breaking apart his way in Marc yelled.
“Looks like intelligence really is dying in this day and age! Only mindless muscleheads like you can succeed. If that’s the case then I’ll show you how weak you truly are. I didn’t want to do this but you give me no choice!”
Terin broke in. Marc took out a syringe and stabbed himself with it. His skin started to change and his body started to grow. Soon after he became a 3 meter tall lizardman. His voice was deeper than before.
“This is my final form! At least according to you people.”
Terin didn’t care and threw a punch. Marc blocked it with his own punch and then followed it up with another punch. It sent Terin flying. Once he landed on the ground he kept rolling until Copy grabbed him.
“Oof that looks dangerous. By the way, did he say “I didn’t want to do this!” or “This is my final form!” because if so this boss is going perfectly!”
That punch completely surprised Terin. It has enough strength to break some of his bones. He was in no mood for jokes. While coughing up blood he asked her.
“Listen, do you believe in the dab?”
“Yes, but I have never performed one because I don’t want to do it wrong and disrespect you.”
“There is no such things as disrespecting me. You can only disrespect the dab. It doesn’t matter if you do it good or bad, what matters is that you respect it and that you give it your best. Now lie down next to me. I am going to teach you how to heal someone with a dab. With the short hand extend your fingers and point them to me and with the long hand form it in the ok sign and slowly lower it on my chest where the heart is.”
Copy listened to what he said and did it exactly right. She touched his chest and felt nothing. On the other hand all of Terin wounds were healed.
“Perfect. I knew you had it in you. And I think I have a way to defeat him, but I’ll need your help. He said intelligence is dead and that only brawn could succeed in this world. It must mean that form gives him infinite physical strength and defence. Which means only technique power can defeat him. I am going to charge the Dab Cannon. I want you to keep him busy until I do it.”
“Damn. Even the only one type of weapon can beat him cliche. Really liking this final boss.”
Copy might have been joking but she instantly rushed towards Marc. Terin formed his long hand in the shape of the fist and his short hand was perfectly lined up with fingers pointing towards the fist. Marc was closing in and Copy went to him. She punched him but it had no effect. Hearing that he had ultimate physical strength Copy had no way of defeating him so she didn’t bother. She just wanted to dodge his attacks. Unfortunately for her Marc was too fast. His punch hit her and she blown away in pieces towards Terin. Some of her pieces hit him.
“Soooryyyyy, didn’t mean to hit youuuu.”
She bought him a second but the Dab Master didn’t expect anything more. Marc approached him and launched another punch. The Dab Cannon wasn’t ready. He jumped up just barely dodging the attack. He was above Marc now aiming straight towards his head. Ready! Terin opened his fist and energy shot out. Marculius Zurcberius was blasted to pieces. He landed and let out a sigh of relief. It was finally over he thought. He walked up to Copy’s head and picked it up.
“It’s gonna take a while to collect everything that’s left of you.”
“Well yeah, but first you gotta defeat Marc. Did you forget about the part where the boss dies but gets resurrected for some reason.”
Terin dropped her head and instantly turned around. He was on guard for any sign of Marc’s revival.
“Ouch.”
Terin ignored her and was on his guard. He felt energy gather around him and then he heard a faint bass noise. It was just like last time. It exploded and Lord Thugger was in front of him.
“Greetings, mortal. A mere dab user and a machine defeated the region master. A story that will be told through generations.”
He lit up another talisman and blew it over Copy’s head. She coughed a bit. It made no sense to Terin why she did it considering she didn’t even have lungs but he decided not to question her. Her parts that were split all over the place started converging towards her head and slowly fixing her up, until she was back to being good as new.
“Good. Watching only your head felt weird. Now, mortals, I will take you back. It is time to bool.”
“Sorry, but I am tired. I haven’t slept properly in days, please take me home.”
Lord Thugger didn’t say anything for a while. He was standing there silently.
“You are missing on greatness… But very well, I shall take you home.”
He took another talisman and blew the smoke of it on Terin. He found himself in his room. Dropping on the bed he instantly fell into deep slumber.
