《P I G S》15. World War Pig

I shot up quickly as I awake in a stir from my dream.
The moment I gained consciousness my ears were bombarded by the sound of dozens of bullets firing. It sounded like a warzone.
Everyone in the church had already woken up they were covering their ears as the sound of the bullets was deafening.
As I came to my senses I noticed another noise.
It was oinks.
There were so many that I wouldn’t be surprised if outside the church right now were a thousand pigs.
It seemed no one knew what was going on except the Albino girl. She was sitting there with her usually stoic face as she plugged her ears.
I wanted to ask her what was going on but with the noise it was impossible. I looked over at the front of the church and saw something surprising.
The front door was closed. I didn’t even know it could close. I sat there afraid with adrenaline pumping with nothing I could do. I felt helpless.
Suddenly a roof tile broke and a small pig fell through the rooftop. It hit the floor and exploded into a bloody mess.
After that one some more fell through the roof, some even started climbing through the window. The pigs started using the body of the other pigs to soften their landing.
I noticed that all of the pigs had sharp teeth. As some of them started surviving the landing and went on the attack.
They were trying to eat us.
One ran towards Ezra nad he threw his foot down causing its body to explode into blood and guts.
Some of them came for me and I picked up a tile that fell from the roof and started stabbing them with it.
After a moment bullets started shooting off in the church as well killing all of the pigs.

The guns would kill the pigs that were far away from the people and the ones that got close to us we had to kill ourselves. It was an absolute blood bath.
We managed to group up into one corner to give the guns more room to shoot.
From there we had one goal
Survive.
---------------------------------------------------
This went on for a few hours with seemingly no stop to the pigs.
The entire floor was covered in pig bodies. Some of the group vomited at the sight a few times but eventually, your nose went numb to the smell.
This was hell.
The roof had almost entirely and we had already run out of steam a while ago. Annabelle and Wilson had stopped fighting a while ago however, the rest of us still had to fight.
I took a glance at Cheryl and she seemed like she was about to pass out.
She looked sick.
I had already tried a few times to get her to take a rest however, she refused and continued to fight.
At this rate, we would all run out of steam and be eaten alive. Who knew how long this would last.
------------------------------------------------------
Eventually, the last pig fell through the window and its skull was instantly pierced by a bullet. At this point, the pig’s corpses went up to my knees.
I hadn’t gotten any sleep last night because of the attack.
I had cuts and bruises all over my body and I was drenched in so much blood that I couldn’t even tell if it was mine or not. My eyes felt like they would shut any second.
I would have fallen asleep that instant if it wasn’t for the pig’s corpses covering the floor. If I was being honest I wasn’t too excited about sleeping on a bed of pig corpses.

The sun started shining through the broken windows as we sighed our first breath of relief that entire night.
As we did Cherryl fell over and passed out.
Jack’s face went pale as Ezra grabbed her before she hit the floor.
He touched her pulse and breathed a sigh of relief as he said “She is just exhausted she should be fine with enough rest”.
We all breathed a sigh of relief as we didn’t have to deal with another body. We set her leaning against a wall as we waited.
The door to the church was still closed so we had to stay in the church full of corpses as we waited for it to open.
Needless to say but, I don’t think the time has ever gone slower before.
-----------------------------------------------
I was thinking about my newfound trauma of small pigs with teeth as I heard a sound.
It was the sound of metal.
As I heard that sound the doors slowly opened up. The sun started shining in through the door as I felt I could finally have a bit of freedom.
I don’t know if I would ever forget this night for the rest of my life I thought as I walked through the knee-high pig’s corpses.
It took a while to get through all of the pig corpses.
I even cut myself a bit on their razor-sharp teeth. I was one of the last people out as I had to help get Cheryl out of the church with Ezra.
As we were about to get outside I noticed that everyone else stood there with shock in their eyes. Annabelle had even covered Wilson’s eyes.
I looked out to see what they were shocked about. All of the trees around the church had been knocked over and there were bullet holes everywhere.
However, the most surprising fact was the number of pig corpses there were.
It was a sea of dead pigs for as far as the eye could see.

When Plush comes to Shove
An: So the last synopsis wasn’t really all that good, it was just some mumbo jumbo with no actual point to it so I decided to make a new one that’s a bit more accurate. Leo Lush, just your average everyday (slightly chubby) schmuck, or at least he would be if he didn’t carry around a stuffed toy everywhere he went.I mean, he was a man who could read the atmosphere a bit so put it away in his bag whenever having a stuffed toy out would be rude but other than that he brought it with him all the time, it was a memento from his girlfriend who had died three years ago and keeping it close made him feel better. That’s also why his classmates gave him the nickname “Plush”, though that's neither here nor there. One day at the train station he’d lost his dearest stuffed toy, one of his classmates found it and lobbed it towards him, something that they’d already done many times before, but this time something went wrong and Leo found himself falling in front of the train due to the force of the throw. Now follow Leo as the spirit that developed in his stuffed toy and killed him forces his ghost into another world to possess a different stuffed toy. He doesn’t know much about the world or why he’s there but what he does know is that according to a magic book his girlfriend was also sent to this very world when she died in a plane accident three years ago. An: For those who want to know a bit more about what kind of story this will be: I want it to be a chill feel-good story and stay as far away from those despair-fest stories as possible (No offense to people who enjoy them, I’m just not one of you)Let me make something clear; I’m not writing this story with hope of it becoming really top tier among RRL (Though it did get above rank 500 once which I’m still very proud of even though it’s gone back down to ~850 at the time of writing this) I just want to write a story that I would enjoy reading, that’s why I’ll be mostly skipping over a lot of the parts that I skip when I read other stories, such as stats, the exact value of money and other such precise statistics that no one(as far as I’m aware) really cares about all that much. Just feels like a lot of effort for something superfluous. There’s a single exception and that’s one of the battles, it’s not a despair-fest or anything but it’s got a different feel than the rest of the story due to me being in a funky mood while I was writing it.
