《P I G S》23. Bloodshed

After hearing Ezra’s revelation.
We rushed over to the church to get the plan into order.
I managed to get to the church first.
I rushed inside and halted after I entered the doorway.
A chill ran down my spine and my soul went cold.
If I felt no pain the sight in front of me might have made me rip my eyes out.
Blood was pooling on the floor.
Intestine, liver, heart all of them were on display as her body was torn apart and eaten.
It was a feast for cannibals and a horror to others.
Cheryl was dead.
She seemed to have died in her sleep as her eyes were closed and a gentle look was on her now a mangled corpse.
The next sight felt worse in a different way.
It was a familiar pregnant belly.
However, her face was unfamiliar.
It was the head of a chameleon.
Blood smeared on her face showing that she was enjoying the meal.
She was looking at me as if she was expecting my arrival.
Next to her was a small child.
He didn’t even notice me he was too busy eating the meal in front of him.
However, a voice emerged from Annabelle
“Wilson go fetch”.
He looked up excitedly while chewing on her left kidney.
My instincts kicked in and I turned around and ran as fast as I could.
I could hear Wilson laughing as if he was enjoying the chase.
I bumped into Jack who was right behind me.
He was surprised at me running away as he couldn’t see inside.
I screamed “Run!” as loud as I could and pushed him towards the other way.
The adrenaline seemed to hit him before he could even think what I said through and run in the other direction.

Ezra watched us and saw the thing chasing me and started running as well.
It was difficult to run over the pig corpses that covered the floor.
I looked back once which was a mistake.
It looked hideous.
Wilson was covered in blood and was striding towards us on four legs with his long chameleon tongue out.
He looked like a dog.
However, more worrying was that he was gaining and I was closest to him.
I wished that I had run track and field back in the day as I tried to sprint with all my might.
Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my ankle.
I fell over in pain and screamed.
Wilson had caught up to me.
As soon as I hit the floor Wilson jumped on me and started slashing with his sharp nails and laughing.
I covered my face as blood spilled from my protecting arms.
I was going to die.
This scene felt nostalgic from when Ezra had saved me last time however, I couldn’t count on him this time.
I suddenly remembered the rule
‘never walk without a weapon whether that be a stick, knife. or guns always be able to defend yourself.’
.While he was slashing me in joy I managed to find a broken branch on the ground.
I grabbed it leaving a brief opening for Wilson.
I felt his claw dig into my left eye causing my sight in it to disappear but, it gave me enough time to grab the branch.
I used the sharp end of the branch and stabbed it upwards straight through his jaw.
It Pierced through his mouth and came straight out of his left nostril.
If this was a human it would have pierced his brain killing him instantly however on a chameleon it only went through the front of his face.

Completely missing his brain allowing him to live.
I smiled as at least in my last moments of living I fought back against death.
Just as I thought he was going to kill me his body went flying off my body.
I followed its trajectory and saw him hitting one of the last standing trees.
His body was flying so fast that as soon as he hit the tree his body exploded with flesh flying everywhere.
I looked to see the other direction that he came flying from and saw Ezra standing there.
He seemed to have punted him.
His eyes looked wild almost not human however, they quickly went back to normal.
“Martial arts are pretty strong!”
he said seeming to be a little shocked by his strength.
That wasn't martial arts I thought that was inhuman strength.
I paid no heed to it as he saved my life.
He helped me up and saw my injury on my leg.
He muttered profanities and was about to say something when a blood-curdling scream could be heard.
It was Annabelle.
She had seen Wilson's death and was furious.
Ezra saw her coming towards us and told Jack to help me walk.
As soon as Jack gave me his shoulder Ezra got into a fighting stance.
I wanted to help Ezra however, there was nothing that I could do.
All I could do was utter thanks under my breath and start walking away with Jack.
I looked at Jack and I remembered the sight of his sister.
I didn’t know how I was going to tell him however, that was a conversation for later.
I started to walk away thinking I was going to hear the sounds of combat however, a different sound rang in my head.
A gunshot.
I looked back and saw Ezra shocked as Annabelle fell over dead.
I then turned to see where the sound came from.
It was the Albino girl.
In her hand was a pistol and around her on a strap was what seemed to be an assault rifle.
She also had a knife strapped to her waist.
She seemed ready for a war.
She turned around and spoke
“Follow me”.

A-Live AI
The year is 2247. For almost two hundred years Sentient AI research has been banned. Everyone knew this, and yet no one has ever given up on finding the perfect setup for it. Restricted AI are rare, but possible to get ahold of if you have the money and the clout to get through the law for it. Especially when it deals with the military. Alfred Homis is an engineer and has spent the last three years working for the United Terran Military's Research and Exploration Department. Specifically to help build a 'shackled' AI who's prime directive was to explore potentially habitable worlds. Worlds that are far cheaper to colonize and add to the United Terran Directorate's fold than terraforming. During the AI's maiden voyage things go horribly wrong, taking Alfred Homis along for the ride. Thrown into a parallel universe where the laws of physics are just a little messed up, Alfred finds himself trapped inside the very machine he'd helped to build. Add magic, hostile fantasy creatures, and two different pantheons of 'Gods' to the mix and things get even more complicated. Oh, and an invasion between universes to boot. But that's just all in a days work though for Alfred, the AI Lord. Authors Note: Hi guys! Long time no see. And yes, I know that's all on me. But I blame life for that. Anyway, this is my new work, and I hope you guys enjoy it! The chapters are a little shorter than I'd previously posted in my other stories, but I cannot say that I have the same amount of time or energy to write them like that anymore. Sorry about that. Still, some warnings: There is cursing in this story. I am not going to edit it out. There will be sexual content later. Blood, gore and cruel depictions are all planned. If that isn't your thing, I'd suggest you turn back now. There is also my dry, and often not-so-funny sense of humor. And oh, it's all in first person gain. Haha. I just tend to write better that way. If none of that bothers you, then enjoy the read! Feel free to comment, point out mistakes, or make suggestions! Reviews are nice too, but please lay off the criticism until the story gets good and going. Thank you. Note 1: Some edits to the synopsis.
