Shadow POV

I close my eyes as we climb into the air.

“Spider, what did you do to these kids? And why are you trying to enhance them? They are worthy of my attention. You don’t need to impress me with them.”

“Wait for what? What happens? I mean, I just wanted you to take them in and give them a little boost so they can seem even more worthwhile. Bu can’t keep talking. I am watching over the other one and he is just as exciting as the other two, I promise.” The stupid spider reply and left the conversation.

I feel like he is still hiding something.

These kids are something special. Even though the little girl fairy isn’t white, it is a deep yellow. The light calls to her like she is a descendent of a dragon fairy user. But the people on the planet have barely hit tier three. I know their parents are the strongest fairy users on the planet, but this is too much of a jump. She might have the strength of a tier one fairy user. Which should be impossible. There aren’t these big of jumps in the multiverse. If she becomes a tier one fairy user. Then it would be a first.

But if she is a surprise, so is the boy. This fake dragon refuses to let him ride him because of the darkness being spewed from the boy. It is enough for this fake dragon to want to attack him. One of my descendents right in front of me. The boy scares the faker and I feel he is hiding something as well. I wish I can touch his head and look inside of it, but Isis would stop me. This is annoying, not knowing everything.

Looks like it is almost time for us to teleport. We are crossing the moon right now. The children are being protected by the fake dragon. I turn and look at my planet once again. This blue ball hands rest on these two kids. I feel the girl is going to be a problem, and it is going to be hard to force her to fight. I understand her feelings. She has always been on the run and now the entire world is going to be on her shoulders. Not only that, but if she loses, she could doom her people to slavery or extinction. It isn’t fair that we are using these kids to play this game, but it must happen. These kids are special and now they are going to do something exceptional.

We finish crossing the moon. I snap my fingers and a warp hole appears. The fake dragon flies through it. I could have teleport us straight to our destination but these kids need their rest. It will take us five hours to get to the planet after warping. I turn towards the kids and wonder why they are so special?

As we descend to the planet. The children wake up. They look around in surprise and we land. They jump fake dragon and the little boy thanks him. The faker sneers.

“Where are we?” the little girl asks. It would have been fine if she asked nicely, but it was a demanding tone. I try to not roll my eyes or hit her. This place means a lot to me and this little girl has no respect. She has gone from being a frighten kitten to a ferocious cat. Do she think she can walk all over me?

I ignore her. The little boy turn around and ask in a pleasant tone, “Mister Shadow, where are we?”

Looking at both of them. I wonder why I came here. I could’ve gone to another place to tell them about my origins. But that time has passed.

“This is mars the closest planet to your world. A place where nothing will ever live again. We are here because this is the place where I learn about my origins and is here to tell you about what I am. I’m not a normal human like you too but something different.”

“We knew that the moment you summon the basilisks and able to control the elements. This isn’t rocket science. Can you please stop treating us like morons? Dude, we are kids, not stupid.”

I had to stop myself from snapping my fingers and causing her to disappear forever. This brat needs to learn some manners. She is from the light, but her personality is one from the dark.

“Kids stay here. I hate explaining crap. Let me get someone to talk for me.”

I snap my fingers and disappear. I look around for the third strongest being alive in this universe right now. The moment I started looking for him, he ran away. This stupid being thinks he can run and hide from me. I appear at his last location. I touch his energy and can guess where he is going next. Snapping my fingers again, I just miss him. I take a minute to catch up to him. Once I appear in front of him. He tries to send an attack. I swat it away and grab him by the neck. I snap my fingers again and to appear in front of the kids.

He squeals, “Onik, what did I do to you for you to chase me, Shadow?”

I let out a small laugh. “Porky, you will explain our origins and our purpose to these kids. I would do it myself but I hate talking.”

I snap my fingers, summoning a table, chairs, and a podium.

I point to the chairs and say, “Sit,” to the children. The girls roll her eyes at me, but she sits in a seat. The little boy glady runs to his seat and sits down.

The stupid pig monster is sitting down, pouting. I roll my eyes and throw him at the podium.

“Shadow, you can’t treat me like this. I am a guardian, just like you. All because you are more powerful doesn’t mean you can throw your weight around. If you keep acting like this, I will tell the council.”

I laugh and give him a glare. “Porky, you are stronger than the entire council. You can beat them by yourself. I have learned about the system of government since the last time I saw you. I’m not afraid of the council anymore. I have learned a lot during my travels. Don’t threaten me again or I will erase your entire planet.”

“Glup” the stupid pig monster replies.

He looks around at the kids. They were staring back at him. I doubt they every seen a creature like him. Our world eats pigs and yet this creature in front of them is a pig and is way stronger than them.

"Listen up lesser creatures all because you are from the Shadow’s world doesn’t mean that I have to be nice to you.”

I replied. “Yes, it does."

“Ok never mind well. The Shadow isn't a talkative person, nor does he like to follow the rules. If the Shadow wanted to, he can rule this entire universe as the lead guardian. He is the strongest in the universe and might have lived for the longest time. He used to be fairly young but he change. He was at one time younger than me, but I can sense how many years he has lived and even I can't comprehend how long he has lived.”

I gave him a deathly stare.

“Listen to me food. I want you to explain what we are not. I can be ruler of this little universe. So start talking before I make you into breakfast.”

He gives a squel.

“I’m sorry sir!” He falls to the ground yelling.

“Little Shadow's descendants, The Shadow and I are guardians. We are born when the planet formed. We are protectors of the planet from outside threats. Sometimes outside forces want to take over the planet, so planets have created a defense to stop them. I can see your confuse faces. Planets aren’t alive, but fairies are. When planets are form billions of fairies are born. Every planet is created with all top tier one fairies being born at once. Because of this, they need to protect their planets from outside or even inside threats. There when the creatures on the planet don’t take care of it. So they decide to create guardians. Now sometimes the guardians get the power to control the elements and other times they get the power to control the elements, but never both at the same time. Ignore The Shadow is the other. He doesn’t count as the rest of us. He is something new. Heck, from what I know he wasn’t even born at the same time as the planet and not only that but also he can control both fairies and use the power of the elements. He also broke one of our rules, but it makes sense he broke the rule from what I understand.”

The little girl raise her hand and ask, “What rule did he break?”

The pig looks at me. “I don't care if you tell them. I was going to tell them about this later, and that was a rule. He killed someone he shouldn’t have. Even though it was in self-defense but he didn’t stop at killing his attacker.”

“Stop.” I said.

“I will tell the kids about that incident. I think that is enough.” I stand up without warning and snap my fingers, causing the pig to disappear.
