《Re:Hammer - The Hammering》Chapter 14

In her agony, she missed the ship having docked at an orbital station, arriving at her destination. Crawling out of her room, aching and sweaty and feeling the aftereffects of such unbridled need of yesterday, she stumbled around with plastered hair and crumpled robes until she found Egwene.
“It’s like you made yourself look terrible on purpose” Egwene commented, shaking her head before picking Emia up and carrying her off to the showers. Despite an initial shriek and flailing of arms, Egwene was far to great a foe for Emia to best, and she got stripped, soaked and shampooed in short order.
Emia couldn’t deny she enjoyed the pampering, and the new outfit was also nice. Pristine and crafted by a master’s hand, it was soft to the touch and yet warded the cold of the void with excellent efficiency. What else happened with excellent efficiency was Egwene bundling Emia into a shuttle and heading down to the planet, where they landed, disembarked and left to a convent.
Here, she could feel the glow of the Emperor’s touch, his sons and daughters really, truly, venerating him. There were several buildings about the place, but in the center of the courtyard, overseeing some running novices was a terrifying woman, one that Egwene made a beeline for. Tall as a tree, and well toned of muscle, it was her skin that was the intimidating part. It was absolutely flawless, and seemed to glow gently with its perfection. It made her look like a sculpted statue, which only added to the charismatic pull that she gave off.
“Lovora~ I got a new girl for you” Egwene called out, waving and heading over.
“Recruitment is next month, come in then” Lovora said without taking her eyes off the novices, and with a dismissive tone.
“Tsk, so cold~ It’s like you don’t love me or something” Egwene playfully pouted. Lovora, however, didn’t change.

“I don’t. Anything else?” Lovora’s harsh and cold reply came. And so Egwene rolled her eyes and stopped playing.
“Someone is moody today. Should I take you in for some soothing relaxation?” Egwene's voice changed, as if she was a totally different person. She stepped and and moved close to the
woman, smiling gently.
“And I could shoot you in the face. Your shield doesn’t stop contact shots” Lovora replied, as if she was well used to this kind of action from Egwene.
“Wow, you really are moody today. Fine, I’ll give you a year if you take her in. You are the best person for her” Egwene concided. And then, Lovora actually looked over, and then looked to her.
“You gripe and pinch at every second, and yet willing to give me a whole year for this one? Suddenly I worry. What has she done?” Lovora asked, stepping down and walking over to Emia, who was stood watching.
The large woman grabbed her chin and looked at the collar, and then pulled on it’s ring to test its strength, seeing if it was ornamental or not.
“This isn’t one of your collars, is it?” Lovora asked dully. The implication that Egwene had collars like the Mother Superior was shocking, but Egwene took offense at the idea.
“You mean the P.E.T designators that are located around the neck of the experiments that are Prosparit Experati Treveli? No,it is not one of mine. It would have said, like yours does” Egwene replied.
Emia, who had studied High Gothic under the Mother Superior, understood the title as basically ‘Experiment In Progress’. Which meant that the now-blushing Cannoness has some sort of deal going on with the Tech-Priestess that she didn’t want to be public knowledge. Thrown off on the back foot she seemed to lose that intimidating command of the situation and just nodded.

“Fine, then I shall take her in, good day” Lovora exclaimed hastily before dragging Emia off to a new building and shutting the door. Recovery was swift and she returned to being the menacing Cannoness as soon as they were out of sight of Egwene.
“First, we are taking that collar off” Lovora exclaimed, walking up behind her. “You look like some sort of prostitute in it and I will not have my girls like that”
Emia wanted to tell her that was probably a bad idea, but couldn’t find the words to stop her, and so just accepted it. Which turned out to be a bad idea a few seconds later when it was pulled off and she got a popup.
Collar Removed; Daemon Unbound. +50 Corruption
100 Corruption Passive - Serpent’s Tongue: A whisper in the right ear can end a World. Targets of social activity suffer -20 WIllpower to resist your advances
There was no need to see that however, as her body sparked with a wholly new emotion. It felt dirty and revolting, yet the dirt felt good. There was a need to turn the Cannonness into a writhing mess, and she could do it as well, just a gentle word in her ear, convincing her to come to the bed and see what she had learned in her home cult.
“This must have been on a while. Your neck is raw and bruised” Lovora spoke. The firm but caring tone snapped Emia back to reality and made her seriously regret the thought she had just had. How was she going to handle the Day of Debauchery now?
“It was a religious thing. But, I am not in that Cult anymore, so I guess” she didn’t finish the sentence, just symbolically rolled her neck and clicked everything. It was surprising, how you could forget such delights after only a few months of being denied them.
Then, Lovora suddenly stripped her out of her robes and Emia had to cover herself up. Mostly the piercings but also her body as well.
“Are they also religious?” Lovora asked, throwing her robes on the bed and going to a wardrobe. Emia didn’t want them taken out as well to add in more corruption, but didn’t know how to explain them. Until suddenly, something came over her and she spoke in that strong, commanding voice that Teli had taught her.
“They are hypoallergenic suppressants. Keeps a terminal illness at bay” the words were unfamiliar to Emia, but she said them all the same, and Lovora accepted them.
“Fair enough. Put this on. It’s your uniform. Then report to the main chapel for assignments, and we will make a Soraritas out of you yet” Lovora said, staring down at the wolf girl and then leaving with fluid and swift moments.
Emia did as she was told, and then got swept up in activity. Weeks passed as she was battered by the winds of time. Physical training, spiritual prayer, praise for her understanding of High Gothic and mastery of the litanies, firearm practice, servant work, more firearm practice, more servant work. It melted her mind until finally, she was out on patrol. One Sister lead them, bedecked in her Power Armour and Bolter, and four novices including Emia followed, with more simple armour and weaponry. The patrol was routine, but important to make their presence known and ensure Chaos was squashed. Having something to do, was delightful for Emia, so she put all her heart into it.

A Ten Pound Bag
A serial saga with short chapters published each and every morning to read over your coffee or tea. This is a "versus life" story with no great evil to face just life in a hard place during a hard time. Our hero and his companions get catapulted back in time and must find a way to not only survive but prosper. This story is definitely "R" rated maybe even NC-17 but don't expect explosions, blood and orgasms at every page turn. Bad words and uncomfortable topics are addressed in this story, this is not for every reader. This is a technical story and develops slowly at first, full technical details, maps and research are available over on Patreon. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I am. -Emmeran
