《Dragonheart - Dungeon Ritual》Interlude: The Wrath of Khamur

Queen Kirei Celentos overlooked the current construction process of her docks. Her beautiful white dress seemed to belong somewhere else and it seemed unnatural. Six hundred vessels were currently being built here by her well paid engineers. It had cost her a fortune to bribe Antalian and Seirin experts and convince them to switch sides. If she calculated correctly, she had spent three years worth of gold production in her country only on this project. Those special ships were really worth it all. The upcoming war would be the first one to unite every kingdom under one flag only to fight the looming threat of Antalia.
A fight that her family had craved ever since her mother had taken over the throne. After they would win the war, she had also lined up quite a few girls of nobility to tie her country to Seirin more tightly. No ruler of Khamur had ever increased the kingdom as much as she would. “My queen. Your grace, I mean. Would you like to do us the honor of watering the flagship?”
Kirei smiled gracefully. “Of course. Dear, would you accompany me?” Her daughter, unlike her mother was covered from head to toe in steel. A giant war axe was dangling from her side as well. “Of course, mother.” The girl handed her a arm and accompanied her to the largest ship, currently still sitting on land. “Tarin, dear. Would you like to name the flagship?” Her daughter took off her steel helmet, revealing blond hair, very much similar to her mothers and clear blue eyes. “How about… “The Wrath of Khamur”?”, she said with a grin. Her mother smiled. “What a fitting name. Thank you.”
The queen threw a small bottle of wine as it was custom in the Kingdom to celebrate the watering of a new ship and her engineers let the vessel to water. It was much more flat than a ocean bound ship and did not sink into the water as much. A very special design, allowing the ships to sail up rivers with larger loads than common boats had done so far. Beautiful. Kirei could not wait to sail deep into the heartland on rivers that all started here in Khamur’s holy lake. Antalia would not know what hit it.

Covenant Sinners: The Origin of a Demon Queen
Demon-slayer knight Hector Aeronwen became an enemy of all humankind after saving a dying half-demon girl out of pity. Little did he know, his impulsive action had forever changed the course of the world and the fates of many. This is the story about Hector's desperate quest and the beginning of the demoness whose destiny is to shake the world to its very foundation. Author's note: At the risk of spoiling too much of this story, I want to reveal a bit about the core idea behind this work of fiction. I set out with the idea to write a story in the perspective of the second in command of a demon lord, which then would be followed up with large scale kingdom buildings and warring states. But then I asked myself: what past do they have between them for the Demon Lord to have so much faith in her second in command, and for him to be so loyal to such a horrible being? So this is my attempt at writing the origin of those two, who, while hated by all races in the world, still have each other as the only confidant to entrust their life to. If you are like me and want to see where this premise, with a vague destination in mind, will lead to, please have a read and give me your valued feedback!
