《Into Nothing》137 // Best Healers In The Lillium Empire

Aleister stuffed his items into his bag and opened the door. Luo Yun was showing the absolute mess of papers that he stuffed into his storage room. This was the first time Aleister got a look at it. A deluge of white and blue-tinted papers covered his large weapon's chest and covered a portion of the floor.
"Wow, that's way worse than what I expected."
"You know what was also bad?" Aluyra asked.
"There are a lot of things that are bad, so I'm not sure I could reasonably deduct what bad thing you specifically meant unless you plan of offering me a hint of some sort."
"And to think of how high of a regard I held you in just a few days ago."
"That's your fault. You didn't even know me, let alone what I looked or sounded like, at the time, so why would you hold me in high regard? That's an error on your part."
"You're right." Aluyra looked away as she crossed her arms across her chest. "Now I'm no longer interested in you or anything you have to say."
Panry looked at Aleister with a nervous smile. "Dare I ask what those screams were about?"
"You do."
"Sorry—"
Aleister waved and cut him off. "I know what you meant. And you two should consider yourself lucky, or else you would also have had to undergo physical torture along with the mental one I gave the two of you."
"What kind of torture?" Aluyra.
"So you are interested in what I have to teach after all."
"Ugh," she groaned. "Fine, don't answer."
"Ok," Aleister said. "Are you done here Luo Yun, I also am quite hungry at this point in time."

"Just cover half of this mess," Luo Yun said, whipping his jacket around his shoulder. "The other two can cover the rest once they regain consciousness. And don't worry, as you two are now Weaver's, your base pay will be adjusted accordingly."
Aleister slung his bag around his chest and walked towards the exit, Luo Yun right behind. However, right before he left, he turned around and asked, "Oh, and I'm curious, what did the two of you decide to eat?"
"Why would either of us tell you?" Aluyra asked.
"Because it's easier to just ask you two up front instead of getting other people to find out for me? And besides, Panry will tell me."
"I kept it simple with just some eggs, toast, and milk, I guess."
"I ate a chocolate muffin full of nuts."
Aleister nodded and left the dojo.
"What was the purpose of that question? Don't tell me you plan to continue with your nonsense."
"Nope. I was just interested in what they would pick. Curious how both of their choices were rather simple even though I gave them twenty gold each."
"I'm not sure what that means."
"No meaning, just a simple observation."
Luo Yun shrugged and didn't continue his questioning any further.
"I have a question for you," Aleister asked after a few moments of silence.
"We're going to go eat at—"
"I don't care where we're going right now, it's about something a bit more serious."
"Ask."
"In Osetia, who would be the best at checking up on internal injuries," Aleister asked. "I'm not certain about the lasting effects of swallowing the liquid of alchemical fire and the white-onyx crystal. So I want someone to check upon them." And me.

"Objectively, the best healer in the entire Lillium Empire would be the Grand Priest."
"And how about we go with someone more reasonable?"
"With your connections, I'm sure it wouldn't be too unplausible."
"I'm not that concerned about it."
"Since Kyoko is a priestess of Lilith, I'm sure she would know some divine magic, but perhaps in that regard the Shrine of Sera would be a better suited to such tasks."
"Shrine of Sera, huh?" Aleister placed his hand on his chin. "Oh, would happen to know if they ever found out who stole their Sacred Sanshin?"
Luo Yun grinned as he turned his head. "Did I just hear you correctly?"
"You didn't know about it? Consider me surprised. I thought you were monitoring everything that happened in this city."
"As I've said, my reputation is still limited, and money can only buy so much. Also, having such an item stolen is no doubt a well-guarded secret, that only a handful of people besides the priests and priestess of Sera would know. So the real question is, how do you know about this?"
"Because I was the one who stole it, obviously."
Luo Yun chuckled. "I don't think you stoop to such means."
"Is that what you really believe?"
"Even though you did play a ridiculous game, there was still a hint of virtue hidden within, as well as something to gain. There is nothing for you to gain by stealing the Sacred Sanshin besides the Ire of the Sera herself."
"I can't disagree with you there. However, I was accused of stealing it, which is how I came to learn it was stolen."
"And why would you have been accused?"
"Wrong place, wrong time."
"Is that so?"
"Yup," Aleister nodded. "It's a good thing Syn could phase through material objects at the time, so once she stole it, I merely placed myself in a convenient location to distract the guards from the real culprit."
"Don't drag me into this mess," Syn said through a yawn.
