《God Of Cheat》Chapter 3: Reincarnation [3]

Shen Zuobi wanted to open his eyes in shock but was worried that others would see so he held it in but that didn't stop his eyelids from flinching continuously.
One might even think that the baby was retarded or was having a seizure but this world was different and there was no such thing as a seizure, only death. Medicine and treatment for seizures haven't been invented yet so it wasn't seizure, it was the death curse.
Shen Zuobi would have thanked the heavens that no one in the room saw it or else they would've probably killed him to relieve him from the death curse's pain.
When he was thinking about how he would become overpowered with a system, he was being sarcastic and just joking but instead he was correct about Egaroth being a cliche novel where the main character or in this case, him would have a cliche system, and probably a cliche harem as well.
The [System] once again spoke to Shen Zuobi without waiting for him to calm down as the [System] seems like it didn't care at all about his feelings.
[We will begin the transfer of method to become strong enough to train Old Man Li and get him into the top 4.5 thousand minimum.
1.2%,7.9%,25.1%,50.7%,82.5%,90%,98%,99%,99.1%,99.2%,100%]
Shen Zuobi was confused since nothing was happening. 'Shouldn't something be happening right now [System]? Did you even do something or are you...' He didn't even get to finish his sentence when his brain began hurting.
At first it felt like a regular headache but as time went on, the pain began feeling like woodpeckers were pecking on his brain.
The pain was very bad but Shen Zuobi could still tolerate it probably because of the 34 points of Willpower he had.
The pain felt like it was subduing a tiny bit but just as Shen Zuobi was beginning to feel relief, the pain grew even more tremendously and it felt like he was being haunted by ghosts and they were attacking his brain over and over.
It hurt so bad that Shen Zuobi wanted to yell and cry but he forced himself to endure the continuous attacks on his brain.
'This has to better increase my endurance. This is more like 100 points, not 0 points of endurance.
It took quite a while at first but soon new knowledge began to enter then things slowly calmed down. The pain began easing down after a few minutes and what replaced the pain which could be worthy of being a part of hell was knowledge of the world and everything Shen Zuobi needed to know to live in this world.
'There's information and techniques in my brain to allow me to cope with this world but how is this going to help me save the servant... or rather Old Man Li?'
The [System] didn't take time to ponder on the question and it gave an answer that almost seemed as if it was purposely joking with Shen Zuobi.
[The transfer of the method has not even starting yet.]

Shen Zuobi was furious at the [System] and began yelling at it with his mind.
'How in the world is that's not the transfer! You said that you were transferring the method to become strong enough to train Old Man Li but you... argh! Then what did you transfer?'
[The 1st percent of the method to become strong enough to train Old Man Li. There's more knowledge needed to be learned by you and when you've learned it all in one year then you can truly help Old Man Li win.]
Shen Zuobi felt like scolding the [System] and was about to give up training Old Man Li but once again he felt a new emotion that he never had in the old world, guilt.
He never felt guilt before since he was born back on Earth because there was no one to feel guilty to so the emotion felt weird to Shen Zuobi.
He calmed himself down and prepped himself for the pain that felt like he was given the heaven's judgement.
'Is this what other main light novel characters feel? Oh god if this is the pain I feel right now... what kind of pain will I feel when I fight demons and stuff. I'm so sorry oh great novel god for underestimating the characters, but please have some mercy.'
Shen Zuobi felt like crying when he imagined how much more pain the other 99% of transfer would have on him and his mind. But he didn't imagine much longer as if he didn't say it now, he might never say it in the future.
'Transfer the rest of the method to save Old Man Li!'
[Are you really sure? I was only joking with you before about it being only 1% of the whole method.]
'It's not the 1st percent? Oh thank you great novel god. How much is it then? It's higher than 1 right?' As soon as he finished those words he regretted it because he had just stepped into another cliche part of novels, jinx.
Jinxing was something that almost all novel cultivator mc all experienced. It happened to whoever was too confident or under-confident. It was also commonly known as face-smacking.
[Its 0.01% of the transfer.
1%,23.7%,67.9%,89.9%,97.5%,98,3%...]
'Oh you stupid novel god! You are a piece of...'
[100%]
'Oh no...'
The deceased pain revived and began growing once more. The pain this time grew even faster and the pain was most definitely increased as well.
It felt alive not just because of the amount of pain it had on Shen Zuobi's brain but the increasing.
Shen hadn't completely recovered from the last wave of pain so when the new one came, it was almost twice as strong as before.
'Isn't there a way to make the pain feel less... you know... painful?'
[I could give you a sedation using a energy string of a snake's dung.]
'Yes do that. Wait a snake's...?'
And just like that Shen Zuobi finally feel asleep. As he was sleeping, he heard conversations between his mother's and everyone else around him. Shen Zuobi also felt the pain that increasing. And decreasing over and over. The [System] was reporting the progress and Shen Zuobi knew that the whole transfer was only 1.7% complete and that it wasn't going to be finished anytime soon.

Shen Zuobi opened his eyes and he was in a dark room with torches floating everywhere with nothing holding it.
The room felt dead as if it had been abandoned. The only thing giving it life was the torches. The room felt spilt into two sides. Shen Zuobi had that feeling but he couldn't explain why.
"Is this those rooms where the main characters gets strong super quick in. Aw... that's awesome! Can't believe I got one. How much more cliche can this get? Now all I need is to meet my grandpa that'll teach me how to make pills and how to get strong super fast."
Shen Zuobi looked down and saw his adult legs, hands, and that his height was back to his original 6'2 feet tall when he was on Earth.
Shen Zuobi then felt the top of his head and he felt hair again. 'Thank god I'm not bald. This place really is holy. It evens knows my former hairstyle and everything.'
He became curious about the place that he entered by being forcefully asleep by the [System] so Shen Zuobi began walking around and while he was walking, the 7 torches floating followed him around, if he ran they ran, if he stood still they did so as well.
Shen Zuobi gradually lost interest in the dark room and instead became curious about the torches. He turned around and noticed the torches were all looking at him. They had the body of 7 different animals.
"They are self conscious? 7 torches, 7 different animals, and 7 different colors. Red, orange, yellow... wait this is just the colors of the rainbow! What does this mean?"
"It means that it has 7 different element and all is resting in your body." A voice that sounded like an angel spook. It was an angel's voice but the voice sounded sad and there was hints of it being in pain when it spoke.
It sounded quite young like it was in its 20's. The voice sounded mature and knowledges as if it had experienced everything in the world.
"Who's there?!" Shen Zuobi turned around to his back where the voice resonated from. When he did so, what he saw was a small peck of light.
The light was so small that Shen Zuobi had to squint or else the light would disappear once in a while.
"Who are you? Do you have evil or good intentions?" Shen Zuobi didn't immediately trust the voice like other main characters. He wasn't scared but that didn't mean he was brave either.
The voice sounded a little more sinister when it replied to Shen Zuobi this time around. "Why don't you walk towards me and find out."
Shen Zuobi hesitated at first but then all hesitation was lost after he remembered that he wasn't in the real world.
Shen Zuobi walked at a normal pace but seeing that the light wasn't increasing anytime soon, he decided to run his way there or else he might not ever make it by the next day.
The light was slowly but surely expanding every passing second.
Before he knew it, sweat was dripping from Shen Zuobi's face. "How is sweat dripping if I'm not in the real world?"
"That's because your spirit body is in this world but your real body isn't." The voice faraway replied.
'That kind of speech is very familiar. The tone, the roboticness, the small cuts between each words. Who else have I heard speaking like that?' Shen Zuobi felt like that voice was familiar yet distant. It was almost as if he heard it in the past hour.
"Oh my god are you..."
The feminine voice replied, "You are most defiantly correct. I am indeed the [System]."
Shen Zuobi stopped his running and stood there analyzing every information he had sitting in his brain.
'If that's the [System] then that means she also has a real body and a spirit body or how else is she speaking to me in the real world?
She seems to be... wait a minute. Is she even a... she? Or is she a he or it or something else? I'll just say she. How is the [System] in this place with me? Is this how she is able to speak to me in the real world? Probably. Does the spirit body have emotion? Because it's clear that the real one don't.'
Shen Zuobi was continuing his deductions when the spirit body of the [System] seemed to have gotten pissed and yelled, "Come over here stupid owner."
Shen Zuobi was surprised and ran once again. "So she does have emotions. And I'm the owner? That's pretty cool." Shen Zuobi didn't stop talking while running towards the ominous light flashing the insides of his spirit body's eyes.
Shen Zuobi ran for a whole twenty minutes before he knew what the light was. It looked like a house with a ball made of light floating by the door. It was big enough for Shen Zuobi to see the whole thing but he knew that the house was even more than he could imagine because he was really far away but the house was almost 1 inch already.
The closer Shen Zuobi got to the house, the more shock he was. It had a garage with a Lamborghini, a Bugatti, a BMW, and many other sport cars. There was a pool in the background and the house was more than 8 floors and it had a basement window sticking out by the door as well.
"What the actually living hell! This is a modern house. I thought I am in a wuxia. What in world is this going to be used for?"
After a whole hour of running, Shen Zuobi was in front of the door sweating so much that it was enough to fill up an entire children's pool and one cup of water.
"Creek!"
The door in front of him opened.

Binary Soul

Faeos Book One: The Stuff of Legends
A ragtag assemblage of adventurers, scraped together by seeming circumstance, investigate the theft of an ecologically essential artifact. In so doing, they find themselves embroiled (as adventurers so often do) in the larger machinations of a mischevious gnome, a determined mage or three, and a dire threat to their homes. Based on a homebrew Pathfinder campaign begun several years ago, and still running. Faeos is one part combat, one part character building, and one part entirely justified silliness. Blame any lead character weirdnesses on my players, whom I love. Blame everything else on me. Oh, and yes, this should also be tagged "Unreliable Narrator."
