Red seems very confused, but grabs his head as if he's having a headache.
Red: What is this guy talking about?
Astra seems more and more mentaly unstable by the minute.
Astra: So, you're betraying us. This is unforgivable.
--- Chapter 46 ---
Astra dashes into Red with his hand reaching out to him. A low chirping rings out, signifying his ability is active. Red brings his right arm around, grabbing Astra’s arm to throw him. When he grabs it, he starts to get shocked, his muscles tensing locking him in place. Astra brings his left hand around punching Red in the face. Red flies back a bit, his insignia swirls around his fist. Red cracks a smile, yet he still looks in pain.
Red: Now, let's turn up the HEAT!
He Punches forward.
Red: Improvised! DRAGON FIST FEAST!
Multiple dragon heads zoom towards Astra. He closes his eyes, and opens them fastly, shouting
Astra: ENOUGH!
Reds dragon fist feast is entirely nullified as most of the insignia disintegrates. What's left swirls back onto his forearm.
Astra: I'm done playing games Red! Pay for what you have done.
He lifts his hand to Red
Astra: Maximum vol-
Fumbling is heard to his left, followed by a bright light.
Astra: Hm?
Astra starts to turn his head to see but is caught by three fists, two massive ones and one normal size. Astra goes flying. He crashes against the floor. He starts to pull himself off the ground.
???: Looks like we got here just in time.
???: Indeed.
Standing before Astra, A golem with Luna behind it, Sole with his strength, and Zetsu.
Astra: Y-you…
He starts twitching before swiftly flinging his hands into the air crossed.
Astra: MAXIMUM VOLTAGE.
Black lighting can be seen flowing around his hands. It jolts into the air sporadically.

…
Nothing happens.
Astra: What?!
Creit: N-now, that I know your arcana…
Astra looks over at Creit on the ground, his eyes glowing red.
Astra: You- Your nullifying my arcana!
Astra starts to run toward Creit.
Zetsu: Thank you Creit, I had activated grounded, but you provided an excellent opening.
Zetsu grabs his right sleeve and pulls it up, revealing an arm full of scars. One glows a light green. Zetsu launches forward at immense speeds. Astras eye looks over at him coming in.
Astra: With my eyes I can see him coming, but I can't do anything!
Zetsu punches him in the face, followed up by a barrage of punches. Astra begins to punch back with immense speeds, but Zetsu dodges every punch.
Zetsu: As I thought, no skill. You're just a kid with power and no actual training. We both have power, but you miss skills that I have, you cannot win.
Astras face scrunches, eyes closed. A bit of blood trickles from his closed eyes.
Astra: ENOUGH!
He opens his eyes, but Lunas golem swiftly pushes Zetsu out of the way, before the golem is obliterated into nothing. Zetsu looks over at Luna.
Zetsu: Thanks for that.
Luna: Yah, no problem.
Zetsu gets up and looks at Astra.
Zetsu: Powerful arcana and optical technique. You really got lucky at birth.
Astra is filled with rage by this statement. A black spike with a red line down the sides rockets out of Astras back, moving in a jagged like motion, and stabs into Akiza’s unconscious body, though it doest seem to leave a wound.
Zetsu: How many tricks does this kid have?
Astra runs in for a punch, a red scar glows on Zetsus chest. They punch into eachothers fist. A stalemate, each side pushing the other. But suddenly blood rockets out of Astras fist encasing Zetsu’s fist.

Zetsu: This is, Akiza’s arcana?!
Astra: I used my eyes to examine her arcana to the tee. Now-
The spike pulls itself out and stabs into Toa. Zetsu glows for a second, before Astra throws him into the air, now affected by her low gravity.
Sole: I hope you haven't forgotten about me.
Astra looks surprised. Then starts to turn around.
Sole: Although I don't know how one could overlook my holy visage. So I will assume you didn't seek to fight because of my overwhelming power. Thanks for the flattery.
Astra closes his eyes, blood beginning to trickle.
Sole: This trick again?
Astra opens his eyes towards Sole. But as soon as his eyes begin to open, he's met with the full force of Soles fingers poking his eyes, sending him flying back holding them. The spike becomes dislodged from Toa, causing Zetsu to fall and land behind Astra.
Zetsu: Welcome back Sole.
Sole: Glad to be back.
Zetsu runs up to Astra, a scar glows red as he punches Astra towards Sole. Sole punches Astra into a wall. Astra bounces off coughing up some blood. Zetsu and Sol appear next to him.
Zetsu: Twin.
Sole: Combo.
Zetsu+Sole: LARIAT!
Zetsu straight arms his legs, causing him to no longer touch the ground, and Sole with his might hit him in the head, causing it to rocket into the ground. Zetsu and Sole start to walk away with a chuckle.
Astra: I won't die- TILL I HAVE HIS HEAD!
He says pointing at Red. Zetsu and Sole exchange a glance. A deep reddish orange scar glows. Light starts to seep out of Sole, and forms a ball of light in his hand. Soles body begins to shrink as its absorbed into the ball.
Zetsu: Fire Spire!
Sole: Solar Flare!
Sole tosses the ball up above Astra, and below Astra erupts a tower of fire. The ball of light begins to soar downward, blasting him into the ground. Astra lies there, lifeless.

Khaldir's Observer
Markus Kuberski, a 21-year-old mechanical engineering student at the Vienna University of Technology and a weeb, is bored by life. He has no girlfriend he cannot meet up with his friends because there is another Covid-lockdown and getting a side-job is also unsuccessful. Therefore, he has started to write a web novel. “If I cannot be the main character with magical powers and a harem full of cute girls in real life then I will create my own universe and be its protagonist.” Although that has been his first thought, he neither dare to use himself as the main character’s template nor write a harem story. “I am not that desperate!” he muses to himself. Little does he know that he will get more than he asked for when a mighty existence becomes interested in his story and makes it a reality. Hello, this is my first attempt at creating something like a novel. English is also not my native language, so expect some grammar and punctuation issues. I am using Grammarly to help myself in this regard, but in some areas, the free app cannot correct everything. There is currently no fixed schedule, although I believe that two chapters per week should be reasonable. Depending on how much time I have, I can write more.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.

Just a Game
“A great corruption is spreading. The people cry out for a savior. For a hero. For YOU! Come join the fight, as the chosen of World Tree! Receive the blessings of the gods, battle fierce monsters, and become the hero you were meant to be, in Arcanum Online!” It was the cheesiest commercial Ethan had ever heard, but the gameplay was enough to draw him - and thousands of others - to the fantasy world of Lazuros. It’s the sort of place that can really draw you in - a huge open world, a deep character customization system, and a feature that makes time pass slower inside the game, extending your limited playtime! It was a little strange, though. As if it was a bit too realistic for a game of swords and sorcery. The NPC’s seemed almost alive, most quests didn’t reset and monsters respawned slowly. Still, for all it’s quirks, it was a good game! Just a game. And nothing more. …right?
