--- Chapter 49 ---
The desert. A barren wasteland of fine rocks. Darren finds his way walking on foot. He starts to come up on the town. The town has many people held captive by Tenyi soldiers. They look at him with hatred as he walks into the center of the town. In the center is a man in a suit.
Darren: So your Yuraki, special ops commander of the Tenyi?
Yuraki: Indeed I am. And your not Red, by the armor, you're the masked SS+ class mage Darren. Right?
Darren: I am.
The Tenyi soldiers start whispering “Thats Darren?!” and the people held hostage look hopeful.
Yuraki: Kill the hostages.
Tenyi member: B-but sir, that's THEE masked mage Darren.
Yuraki: Did I stutter?
Tenyi member: O-ok sir.
Darrens expression is unknown. His armor covers his head, but has the vibe of rage.
Darren: You harm them, and you will meet the same fate.
The Tenyi member quivers. Everyone has heard of the masked mage Darren, and even more so the villains of this world.
Yuraki: I see, you're all pushovers. Fine, I'll do it myself!
Yuraki’s hand shifts into a large slab of stone. He goes to pancake the city, but Darren punches him so fast he doesn't realize it. They begin to run and start to punch each other in rapid succession. Yurakis fists keep changing to deal more damage. His arcana appears to be shapeshifting.
Darren: Your arcana isn’t half bad. But it's time we get serious.
Yuraki shifts his arms into steel to take the oncoming blows. Darren begins to move at immense, incomprehensible speeds, punching him repeatedly, these punches keep pushing him back, and he zooms in to close the distance. This goes on, him pushing him for a while. Darren eventually stops and catches his breath.

Yuraki: Oh, is that all a SS+ mage has to offer? Kinda sad really.
Clank.
Yuraki looks over and sees Darren removing the gauntlet part of his armor.
Yuraki: Hm?
Darren keeps removing all his armor pieces. It gets down to just his helmet. Yuraki flinches back.
Yuraki: You… You think removing your armor will help?
Darren: Look around us.
Yuraki looks, there in the middle of nowhere. Darren removes his helmet.
Darren: I’ve been holding back, I didn't want to harm the citizens. We are now miles away from any civilization.
Yuraki: You… heh, showing me your face huh? Bold.
Darren: No, not bold. There's no one around to see it, and you're not going to be around long enough to tell anyone.
Yuraki: You, BITCH! SHAPESHIFT, MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE, DRAGON!
Yuraki’s body shifts and grows into a massive dragon. It reels back about to use a breath attack.
Darren: Harming my guild, my friends, my family. Is the last mistake you and your guild will ever make. Plus, you're not even close to as scary as a real dragon is.
Darren disappears, reappearing at the chest of the dragon. He punches full force for the first time. This causes the dragon to shred and disperse into nothing. Matter splatters everywhere, leaving the shapeshifter in the center, floating there. He has a face of fear. Darren zooms above him.
Darren: Here, I’ll give you a glimpse of my arcana.
He brings his right fist back, it begins to glow an intense bright white. Yuraki is filled with immense fear.
Darren: My arcana, the same as the hero that saved Inariel many years ago, the man this world is named after. GODCORE!
Darren swings, not even physically punching him. Yuraki disintegrates to nothing under the immense force of this punch. The wind howls at the disturbance, pushins sand everywhere into miny sand tornadoes. Below him where he aimed the punch appears a massive crater. Darren floats into the crater. His right arm returns to normal color, steaming a bit. He walks through the sand, crunching is heard from glass produced by the heat and being condensed. He goes and puts on his armor. And returns to the town. The Tenyi look at him, partially in shock, partially expected. “He’s really as strong as the legends and stories say.” they collectively thought, before turning and running. The towns people all rush over and rejoice. Thanking him. They try to give him gifts as thanks but turns them down, stating this is just his job. “So cool!” the kids cried, and the women swooned. The people were ecstatic, but to Darren, this was just his job.

Parallel worlds or other worlds. The existence of infinite existence where it only exists in science fiction like in comics, books, or cartoons. The infinite possibilities we could have, that's why the idea of parallel worlds revolves around "what if", " I should've...", etc. The wishful thinking that how we could have done it better or in a word, "regret".
