Announcer: Incredible! What a lucky match-up for Jarby!

Jarby: Lucky? Hmph, who gave this guy the announcer role.

Announcer: Uh, ouch man! Either way, next up we have Absko from Maskrah vs. Fang from Academy!

-Chapter 108-

The two arrive on the battlefield. Fang’s fingers grow into long metal claws. Absko retrieves a sword from his side.

Announcer: Begin!

Fang places his hands together, forming a drill. But before he could burrow, his opponent snaps his fingers, and Fang starts to feel weird. It feels like he is holding something despite his hands being a drill.

Absko: You noticed haven’t you? My ability has taken effect.

Fang: And what would that be.

Absko: I am in possession of two beautiful abilities. The first of which is “Switch shoes”. It allows me to switch our senses.

Fang: How is that useful?

Absko: Well for starters, any attacks you do on me, you feel all the pain, secondly… This.

He lifts his blade into the sky and stabs himself in the stomach. Fang’s eyes widen as he falls over in pain.

Fang: You’re insane! You just stabbed yourself through the stomach, you will bleed out!

A cocky smile cracks across his face. He pulls the blade out and the wound begins to heal instantly.

Absko: My second ability allows me to regen very swiftly.

Fang looks in fear as he moves the blade, and aims for another part in his stomach, stabbing again. Fang cries out in pain, and the crowd is silent, all fearing this kid. Fang looks up.

Fang: You are crazy. But, there’s someone I need to beat.

He thinks of Leo, walking away from him toward the light in a room of darkness. Leo turns his head back and glares at Fang. He closes his fist and slams it on the ground.

Fang: I won’t lose here!

He pushes through the pain and kicks up with his legs into a handstand. He pushes off the ground, his body lifting up slightly. His hands form into a drill and he burrows into the earth. His senses come back to normal and he realizes he needs to see the person switch their senses. Following this revelation, he bursts from the ground and grabs Absko. The drill fingers dig into his legs. Absko calls out in pain, more severe than he should be as if this is the first time he has felt actual pain. Then Fang pulls him into the ground, having him stuck there.

Announcer: Well that was a scary arcana! But since Absko is restrained and unable to battle, Fang is the winner! Lastly, for our last match-up. This is today’s most anticipated matchup, featuring Maskrah’s Jural, who is rumored to be the most favored to win the whole thing! His opponent is Leo, who wasn’t spoken about until late, is rumored to be Academies trump card in this tournament, being trained to win!
