The year is 2059, October 21st in the large metropolis which is called Xlivica. Xlivica, also named the “City of Gangsters” in reference to the amount of gangs in the city, or just the one that has the whole city in its iron grip, The Alvichia Family.

The Alvichia’s are a huge icon in that city, having all of the lesser gangs under their control. Even the mayor doesn’t act unless they say so due to the fear of being offed by them. Everyone knows who the infamous gang is and what horrible things could come upon those who trifle with them. The leaders of the Family are Xaviour Alvichia and Honaku Alvichia, both coming from a long line of gangsters, the Mafia for Xaviour and Yakuza for Honaku. They control everything absolutely within the city and their followers follow with complete loyalty, obedience, and discipline. All of them are trained fully in martial arts until they are masters in martial arts and are trained as well as the Navy Seals.

With this you would think nobody would be stupid enough to bother with the family; however, there always has to be that one person who has to stand up to them. Chief of Police, Gonzo Latineral… The Third. Gonzo has been fighting with Xaviour for the city ever since he had made the mayor his marionette. Gonzo wouldn’t take this transgression so he continued to fight against Xaviour. Gonzo is also the only one able to say he is their equal respectively and no one else would be able to disagree.

Now to get back to the story. The person who is the Hero, or some would say Villain, would be Zxel Alvichca, the only blood and heir to the Alvichca family’s Syndicate, and he looks the part too. He’s a seventeen year old who stands at 6.6 ft tall, and has broad shoulders, a birthmark that looks like a long scar across his face, a rare medical condition that made his pupils slit red and the rest gold colored, messy black hair, and a face that always looks like he has malicious intent.

He has been known to beat up entire rogue gangs that have tried to kill him with ease. He’s a master in almost all martial arts and weapons since he was a young age, and not including the prowess of his deadly Childhood friend and bodyguard, Alexander Elithik.

Alexander Elithik is the son of Xaviour’s and Honaku’s bodyguard and private assassin, Youko Elithik, who is known around the world as the most brutal and efficient Assassin who has never tasted failure in any kind of contest or test. Alexander has learned everything that his father could teach him, and he is even close to surpassing him, a true prodigy in the deadly arts.

Alexander also looks very much like his father--5.11 ft tall, short spiky blond hair, crystal blue eyes, lean, smile charismatic enough to make any girl sway, athletic making him the MVP on every team he plays on, he is a living Popular kid stereotype.

Their daily routine is going to school, where a street thug tries to prove himself by threatening Zxel,which Alexander promptly beats up every day. For Zxel, everyone is terrified of him including the teachers while everyone loves Alexander, with him being the most popular male in the school, even having his own fan club.

You would think everyone being terrified of you while your best friend is the most popular and loved, would make you feel lonely or a little bit envious right? That's how Zxel feels, times twenty. Zxel feels really lonely knowing that everyone would rather be locked in a cage with a tiger and a shark than be anywhere near him. Which usually leads him to playing video games and the occasional sim dating game to feel less lonely.

There is someone who actually treats him normally even with his looks, and that is Elivia Latineral, the only daughter and child of Gonzo Latineral.

Elivia Latineral, who is 5.9 ft tall, and has long silvery white hair to her back which usually sway in the wind, long eyelashes, a petite nose, shining lilac eyes filled with curiosity. She also has the same kind of school life like Alexander.

She’s claimed as the most beautiful girl in school, second in grades, hugely charismatic and has a thriving social life and fanclub made for her. She is good friends with Alexander and acquaintances with Zxel even though many people are saying stuff like, “he’s too dangerous!”, “You’ll get yourself hurt!”, “he’s not worth your time or friendship” and others things that are rude for me to tell.

Elivia however ignores all of those comments and continues to speak to Zxel whenever she has a chance. Unknown to her, Zxel really appreciates the gesture and he has even fallen for her, which if someone found out it would spread like wildfire.

However there is someone I still haven’t introduced you to, Gideon Flanker.

Gideon Flanker is 6.2 ft tall, has brown hair down to his shoulders, baby blue eyes that can change from an angel’s gaze to one like that of a hateful serpent. He has a handsome face that fits the description for someone from a boy band, including the voice of a cherub and the tongue of the devil. This is Gideon Flanker, a son of a rich con artist.

To put it bluntly, he is a snobby brat if you know his true personality under his fake gentlemen’s mask. He is the second most popular of the male students in the school, under Alexander and hates him and Zxel with a burning passion. Gideon is also very egotistical, thinking he deserves everything and he should have the best, which includes trying to win Elivia’s love.

Elivia, like everyone else except for Zxel and Alexander, fall for his manipulative act. He will do anything to get what the want. An example of this is that he once got a student assassinated for talking to Elivia; Truly despicable and childish.

“What kind of bullshit are you spouting now you little imp!? I’m the best at RPGs not you!” Alexander roars in Gideon's rage distorted face.

“Like that will ever be true! The only thing your good at is standing behind Zxel and looking pretty. You probably play as a shitty healer and fail to heal people at the right time.” retorts Gideon. His fists ball angrily as he leans in Alexander’s face.

Zxel and Elivia are standing several meters away watching the argument unfold for a good twenty minutes for something as trivial as ‘who's better at playing RPGs’. They both shake their heads at this, bemusement on their faces at the ridiculousness of the argument.

“How much longer do you think that this will last, haha..?” asked Elivia

“However long it takes for them to realize how idiotic they look” Awnsers Zxel with a grin on his face.

“And how long would that be, if I may ask?”questions Elivia.

“Hmm.. I could get a stopwatch and check or perhaps yell something like ‘Idiot says what?’” he says back trying to smile innocently.

“What?” Alexander and Gideon respond looking at the two while their faces are red as tomatoes.

Zxel and Elivia take a moment of shock and then start howling with laughter, clenching their stomachs looking at the ground with tears coming down their faces.

“ I… -I can’t b-believe..! Looks like we found our answer!” Zxel smiles widely at the two and they look really confused.

“It's All your fault Alex!” Gideon hisses with fury at being laughed at like this.

“‘MY FAULT’?!” Alex shouts at Gideon with his face contorting, ruining his fair look.

Half an hour later, Gideon and Alex have finally calm down, and Gideon starts to talk with his usual calm and collected mask, “I have been hearing about rumors lately about a new device and a game that's coming out soon.” he whispers quietly to the three.

“And why would you tell us that,” Zxel asks curiously. “Elivia, doesn’t play video games and you don’t like me and Alex...”He continues.

“Hey! I like games! I just don’t have the time...” Elivia cuts in and pouts.

“Is it so wrong for me to tell you something that you could enjoy?” Gideon says, looking at them like an innocent child, however Zxel and Alex only saw a devious trickster fiend.

“Quit the crap Gideon, the truth please” Alex sneers while Gideon flitches but keeps smiling,

“I’m serious though, it could be fun, especially if we meet in the game and I could show you who’s the b-e-s-t~” Gideon says slowly, waggling his finger in front of Alex.

“Sigh... What is it about?” Alexander groans before he crosses his arms.

“Why, I thought you would never ask! Well it’s a VRMMORPG that’s coming out with a VR pod or something which gets you fu-” Gideon starts reciting the sentence like had it rehearsed before.

“Get to the point!” Alex cuts off with a shout, getting irritated at Gideon’s antics.

”Fine fine.. It’s a Fantasy world with different races, skills, magic and classes--interesting is it not?” Gideon smirks and says, “And I heard that random people will get it for free in the first patch, sounds creepy, hmm.”

Zxel, Alexander and Elivia start to think about the game and start ignoring Gideon, who turns beat red in anger then calms down sighing.

One month later and the game and pods are shipped out. It went all over the news about the strange occurrence that there is no address or anything, they were just left at the person's house with their name on it. That day at school the four tell each other that they all have gotten it and are shocked, considering that only a hundred were found in the city which has a population of 30 million. They agree to go on it that night. However, they find out that it was a horrible mistake, and it will haunt them for the rest of their lives...

“Ready Alex?” Zxel says as he looks over at Alex setting up the pod and game.

“Ready as I will ever be boss.” Zxel sighs and glares at Alex.

“Will you ever stop calling me that?” Zxel exasperates.

“What? ‘Boss?’” Alex looks confused, staring blankly.

“Yes that! It doesn’t feel right in my opinion...” Zxel sighs, putting his hand on his face, “Let's just get this over with.”

With that said, Zxel opens the pod and lays inside, and it closes while Alex does the same. The pods glow and their bodies disappear without a sound.
