Chapter 8-The King Skills

In the next morning, I ate my breakfast and get the wisp bow in my bedroom. My plan is to go to the Archery Field, I want to know the results of my training in this past four months. When I lift up the bow, it`s manageable than before. Looks like my strength is greatly increased after the four months of training. While looking around, I don`t see Ms. Dana Evergreen, Earlier in the dining room, I didn`t see her either. ‘..Looks like they`re still enjoying each other.. I`m quite a good matchmaker.. My plan succeeded.. Well, Congratulations Ms. Dana Evergreen.. Let`s see how that General will handle the things..’ After a few minutes, I arrived at the Archery Field.

In the Archer field, my whole body is in the Aiming posture while holding the wisp bow and a mana arrow. I`m going to hit the 70m to 250m mark dummy in the head. Similar to the guns back in the earth, I adjusted my aim similar to them. After a few seconds, I shoot my arrows consecutively, all my mana arrows are traveling straight to the head of the dummies. All my target are cleanly hit in the head, I adjust my aim and try to hit the 300m dummy target. After my mana arrow loose, it vanishes before it hits the target.

Using my electric Arrow, I shoot the 70m dummy in the head. Instead of the head, my electric arrow landed on the stomach area of the dummy and burns. ‘..Something is affecting my electric arrow..’ My hands loose another electric arrow again to 250m dummy target but it vanishes before hitting the target. I shoot again and see that the maximum range of my electric arrow is only 170m.

My conclusions are the mana arrow is not affected by natural elements such as gravity and the wind. While the Electric arrow is affected by gravity and the wind.

Using my blink skill, I will try to apply it to the mana arrow. I shoot the 50m target dummy, before it hits the dummy, Using my blink skill, I transfer it to the 300m dummy. ‘..This blink skill is quite a cheat but it consumed 30% of my mana..’ I fire another mana arrow again and use my blink skill, it hits the 400m dummy but it consumed the 50% of my mana.

After my archery practice, I`m going to the Royal Treasury room and get the storage ring, some potions and swords. While walking through the corridors, all the people that I encountered are just bowed at me. ‘..I really want to have chat with them.. Sigh..’ A few moments later, I arrive at the Royal Treasury room.

Inside the Royal Treasury room, I take the storage ring, 5 Red Potions, 5 Blue Potions, 5,000 gold coins, 500 red coins, 2 Longsword, 2 Short swords, 1 Huge Shield, 1 Spear, 1 Katana, a Necklace and 2 Recurve Bows. I put the Necklace to my neck and the rest are in the storage ring. The Necklace description said that it can protect me one time if my life's in danger.

After I took the items, I proceed to the Royal Training Room to regenerate my mana. After my mana is sufficient, I used my Lightning feet skill and run around the castle.

While running around, I see a B-ranker Young Knight Royal Guard. I command him to punch me, He refused at first, and I told him that if he landed a punch I will give him some rewards. Using the Quick Reflex skill the Young Knight Royal Guard didn`t even touch my clothes. I`m happy with the results though and still gave him a 1 gold. Back in the earth, I`m not a generous person but I only have gold coins.

100 copper coins = 1 silver coin, 100 silver coins = 1 gold coin, 100 gold coins= 1 red coin. The Young Knight that didn`t even land a hit on me is earning 20 silver coins a month. Giving a gold coin is quite generous here. After the short encountered with the young knight, I go to my bedroom.

Sitting on the chair inside my bedroom, I`m designing underwear’s, shirts and pants on the top of the table, I always felt uncomfortable during my training. Surprisingly, there is a paper here but it`s a beige color. The ballpen that I`m using is just a stick, I just need to put my mana and it will act as an ink. I`m drawing a blueprint of brief, boxers, sports bras, panties, training shirts and jogging pants. I want to draw a blueprint of rubber shoes but the materials are a bit complicated and don`t know how to processed them. The robes here are a good quality fabric that`s the reason, I think they can create the underwear of earth. Before, I didn`t think the usefulness of the underwear and got excited in my training with the magic.

Tomorrow, I plan to give the designs to Ms. Dana Evergreen. I`m hoping that her business with the General is already finished. I also plan to check the General Library in the Royal City, there maybe a Cocoa tree in here. Earlier, I stumbled on a strawberry field, the strawberry`s here are bigger than the earth`s strawberry. When I tasted one of them, the taste is almost similar to the earth. If there`s a cocoa tree in here, maybe I can create the first chocolate in this world.

After I finished all the designs, I feel exhausted and go to my bed to rest.

Royal Castle, The Great Bow Kingdom.

On the Main Gate.

I am Mark Tear a B-rank mana user, one of the Royal Guards in the Great Bow Kingdom. Last year, before the Great King Greg Ramsey died, I applied to become a Royal Guard and got accepted after 6 months. All my friends and fellow knights said that this kingdom is doomed because of the New Fool King. Twelve knights out of thirty accepted but after King Greg Ramsey died, eight of them quit. I`m one of the 3 knights that get hired because I really need money. In my first two months, I saw the fool king got different girls every day and stay in his bedroom almost the entire day.

After 2 months, While patrolling, I saw the King in the Royal Archery Field. He looks like he can`t even lift the bow, but after he let his mana arrow loose. My Eyes got widened, because it hits the 180m dummy in the forehead. I can hit the 180m dummy but I can`t hit it that accurately at the head. '..Maybe it`s just a fluke….' that’s what I thought at first but he let the second mana arrow loose and hit the same 180m dummy at the heart area. I rolled my eyes to the king and saw that he looks exhausted. '..The King is really a genius! but he is just too lazy and just wants to have sex..' In the next day, the king ran around the castle. I can`t even count how many laps did he do. I saw him too entered in the Royal Training Room and don`t know how long he is staying there. He does this in 4 months and I can`t even see one girl walking beside him.

While patrolling the area near the strawberry field, I heard yesterday that General Leon became S-ranker. '..He is Out of this World Genius..' My eyes saw a blurred running man and almost can`t see him. When he noticed me, he stopped and walk to my position. After I see that he is the fool king, I quickly put my sword in the scabbard and bow my head.

"Punch me.." The King said and chuckled.

"My King, I am here to guard you, not to punch you." I said in respectful tone while my head is slightly bowed.

"How about.. if you land a punch on me, I will give you a reward. How about that?" The King said like he`s looking down on me.

'..I need money.. I just need to go easy on him.. it`s not that I will kill him...' I thought to myself and quite feel nervous because after all, he is the king. "My King, I`m warning you, I`m one of the top graduates in my batch.." I said in a mocking tone and the king is just nodded.

'..This will be an easy reward...' I throw a straight fast punch to his chest. I thought, I caught the king by surprise but he dodges by moving his body sideways. I throw a punch again, I used 5% of mana to my arms and the king still dodges. I used 20% to my legs and tried to hit him in the knee but he jumps effortlessly like he is expected me to hit his knees. I put 30% of my mana to my feet to propel myself forward fast then put 30% mana to my arms and I can`t even touch his clothes.

"My..King, I.. surrender.. I.. can`t land a hit.." I said while heavily panting.

The King just smiled and throws a gold coin to me. My eyes got widened and get the gold coin fast and put it in my sack.

'..I don`t think the new king is a fool..' I thought to myself while seeing the back of the king disappeared instantly.

A few hours later. My shift is finished, I go to an inn to get something to eat. After the duel with the king earlier, I got exhausted. Inside the Inn, I sit in the middle part, I order meat and lot of rice. I got a gold coin after all. '..My King.. Thank you for the gold..' While I`m eating someone shouts.

"Attention! Fellow Citizens of the bow kingdom, I just want to warn you all as your fellow citizen.. One of the ministers in the Royal Castle is my friend.. He told me that there will be a big war soon.. The 3 big kingdoms have formed an alliance to conquer this kingdom.." Said the middle aged looking merchant in a loud voice that everybody in the inn heard and the people started mumbling.

"Silence! I am not finished yet.. Our new king, King Michael Ramsey is doing nothing!. My Minister friend told me that.. The new king is just in his bed all day with his slaves and maids.. That fool king!" The Middle aged man shouted while looking angry at the moment. All the people in the inn started mumbling again.

"You bastard!" I shouted and all the people started looking at me. "I want to tell you all that the king is not a fool.. he is just pretending.." I said angrily and show the insignia of the Royal Guards. I told them on what is happening inside the Royal Castle and how strong The Fool King was.
