PHASE 28 - VOID WOLF CAPTURED! FINALLY!

“RRRUUUAAAAAAAGH!!!”

As Heushac’s gigantic energy sword sinks unto the black wolf’s spine, there was a loud blast that covered the area with smoke. A large crater was formed due to the excessively powerful attack.

“ powering down in 3… 2… 1…” Key’s robotic voice was released from the exoskeleton helmet.

As the countdown went zero, Heushac’s body was covered with light particles and it successfully separated Key with his body. Heushac landed down on his knees, stabbing the sword to the cemented floor. Key used her ability to shapeshift her arms and legs to boosters which she used to continue hovering beside Heushac.

“Is it… over?” Heushac muttered.

“Don’t jinx it again like last time!” Lord Freyr yelled as he ran past his friend. I followed our leader as we are about to prepare the final phase of this battle to capture Lironeo Amerigus!

“Hah!” Lord Freyr swung his sword to the mountainous thick smoke. The tremendous force fanned out the dust particles, making us able to see what happened to our enemy.

Void Wolf is already back on his humanoid form, with his hood and bodysuit armor tattered. He is on his knees, unable to fight, but he’s commencing to escape like last time! His feet are now getting swallowed by the ground again!

I clasped my hands and then pointed it to the fleeing enemy!

“!!!”

The ground where the Cursed Guardian is standing magically floated in the air. The gravity on Void Wolf’s feet became so powerful that it attracted other debris such as cement, soil, and steel, which reformed itself into a sphere! Now Void Wolf is encased in a miniature planet!

As Rikkun has planned, Void Wolf will always use the soil to be his escape route. So we have to separate the ground he’s standing from the earth and permanently immobilize him with the Kozukata style sealing powers.

“Good work, Tiara!” Lord Freyr smiled.

Bam! It’s too early to celebrate yet! A gigantic claw with dark fur started to crawl out from its planetary burial. Little by little, Fenrir’s head peeked out and started to pull itself out from my seal!

For him to transform into a god-killing wolf again… Void Wolf is quite the persistent enemy!

“Hrrrgh! I can’t hold him much longer!” I cried. I’m already exerting all my prana for this sealing spell! If this goes on, Void Wolf will certainly escape!

“” A familiar voice whispered.

“T-That’s…” I muttered.

Beside me is the strongest person in the Kozukata Shrine: Atlas Kozukata, the dual-wielding swordsman Shinto priest. He cast the very same sealing spell, and now, the gravitational pull of the miniature earth became much more powerful!

Earth chunks continued to be magnetized. The gigantic wolf can do nothing but watch himself as he gets buried alive. The spell continues to absorb debris, filling the holes of the floating containment. Now, it’s five times as big as it was before.

Then, Atlas jumped up and pinned a spell-nullification talisman on the floating spherical rock. That will ensure that Void Wolf won’t be able to use any tricks to escape.

“Mister Atlas…” I bowed to our priest. “Thank you for helping us!”

“It’s nothing,” Atlas said in a straight face as he walks away. “Asumi can make a much bigger than me.”

I’m just glad that our priest in the shrine came to assist me in sealing that Cursed Guardian. If it’s just me, maybe the enemy would have escaped freely again.

“Shrine maidens are weird, but shrine priests in the Kozukata Shrine are sure in a whole new level of weirdness.” Lord Freyr commented.

I made an angry glare at him, and that compelled him to behave. He’s mean-talking about our priest! Geez, Rikkun is always so disrespectful!

The battle is far from over.

The God Core of Mars has been stolen, and it seems that Void Wolf doesn’t have it. He’s just a distraction and the culprit might still be in the vicinity.

“Master Alaric!” A pink-haired maid went to us. She panted three times until she can finally speak. “I-I have a message for you!”

It’s Emily Teronette, the teammate I (accidentally) eliminated earlier. I’m glad that she’s not hurt.

“Speak with courtesy, you worthless girl. You’re speaking in front of a god.” Lord Freyr chinned up and made a smirk.

I immediately erased that smirk with a lightning-fast jab to his nose.

“Ouch!”

“Stop being so arrogant!” I scolded. “Just because you transformed into a god doesn’t mean that you should talk to your allies like that!”

“Okay, okay, fine, fine.” Lord Freyr tiredly said.

“Actually, I don’t mind being verbally abused by Master Alaric- I mean Lord Freyr, you’re highness. You can even step on me or spit on me if you want.” Emily dumbly smiled as she held her blushing cheeks. This masochist is in a whole new level of pervertedness, maybe even surpassing mine...

“Stop wasting my time. So what’s the message?” Lord Freyr coldly said.

“The God Core of Mars is currently being held by Mia Springfield, the New Order General. She’s commanding those tentacle monsters, and currently fighting her way to escape through the front gate!”

Black Cross Mansion Front Gate.

I thought I would see the crimson skies and blood moon once we’re outside, but no. We are inside a dome made by ice. The Black Cross initiated a lockdown, so they made sure that nobody can escape this place.

Several Gate Guardians already had the enemy surrounded, and they are continuously battling the disgusting spawns of some Lovecraftian monsters. There are lots of Young Ones over here, about twenty to thirty of them. The field is quite chaotic just like what happened on the Christmas Raid.

Those tentacles and mouths are extremely yucky, but I’m fighting them anyway. We need to pave our way towards the mastermind of these monsters.

“Haaaaa!” I made a powerful right hook straight to the tentacle monster’s mouth, and black blood splattered. Now I had a fourth of my shrine maiden dress dirty with black blood!

“There’s no end to them!” Emily complained when she withdrew her tail from the monster’s bloody guts.

“Keep fighting!” Kristoff unleashed his magical arrow and pierced four monsters in a row!

“Get ready to charge, I’ll clear the way for you guys!” Lord Freyr shouted like a true king in the middle of a war. “!!!”

Freyr sliced the wind sidewards, and a wide silver crescent projectile was unleashed from his blades! It cut through tens of monsters like butter! Black guts splattered to the ground!

Now we are able to see the enemy boss.

“Impressive. You’re much stronger than the last time we first met.” A cute but life-threatening voice filled with malice echoed.

A petite girl with pale white skin is there, just watching. She’s wearing a skimpy dress that shows her midriff, shoulders, back, and legs. Having that wizard’s hat on top of her head and wielding a bladed staff on her hands, we are sure that she’s the New Order General: Mia Springfield. For some odd reason, she was not purified by Necchan’s back in the Christmas Raid.

On her right hand, is a floating Quintessence. No, it’s not just that. It’s the God Core of Mars.

“I guess I will fight you with my full power, then.” The witch held her chest as she gave us a menacing smile. “!!!”
