PHASE 101 - A WISH TO WIN

“Hraaaaagh!!!” A powerful shout echoed from the man who is supposed to be dead. He has impossibly broken the chains of freezing time to make a full-force swing with his rusty buster sword!

“Heushac, you-!!!” The Outsider exclaimed, before having his body sliced into half. Because the time is completely frozen, his black blood droplets levitated in the air.

“Burn!” Heushac, with his worn-out body, released blue flames all over his wounds, scratches, and sweat glands. He breathed flame to his buster sword and then made another deadly maul straight to the Outsider’s head.

There was a blue-flamed explosion.

The interruption caused the time to resume its flow once again.

“He-Heushac!” Rikkun’s eyes widened. He couldn’t believe what he’s seeing right now. “You’re really a hard bastard! Still alive after having your heart crushed!”

“Idiot!” Heushac shouted. “This is just a mortal wound! My is enough to keep me alive and continue this fight!”

Both of them looked at the point of impact, where The Outsider is supposed to be burnt to crisps. There’s nothing there. Just burning ashes. Heushac has made a finishing blow.

But… The battle is not over yet.

Suddenly, a Dark Gate opened just in front of the Frozen Soul. Once again, The Outsider, with the power of Yog-Sothoth, has made his appearance. His form seems to be new as if he didn’t sustain any injuries in the first place.

No.

Heushac certainly killed The Outsider in that last attack.

This is completely a different Outsider in flesh, yet still him.

“If you can return from the dead, I can too.” The Outsider said. “I am Yog-Sothoth. I can rewind time over and over even if you kill me a million times. There is no way I can be defeated. So why… why are you still resisting!? This battle is pointless!”

“No, this battle is not pointless,” Heushac said. “This is the fight to save everything from existence. And for that reason, I will not die! I will continue this fight until everybody’s salvation is guaranteed!”

Heushac breathed fire from his eyes and mouth as if he is a humanoid dragon. Flames scattered around his gigantic blade, and his skin is now torn with the raging fire.

“Come, Ric!” Heushac shouted. “You have charged long enough! Make sure that your ultimate attack will hit!”

“Right!” Rikkun said as he exerted all his remaining prana on the . “Tiara! Let’s do this!”

“With determination, we will never give up!” I made a loud warcry as I gave all my prana reserves to the platinum sword. Even after exhausting all my energy, I am still able to continue singing the telepathically to cancel out the Frozen Soul’s wishes.

Rainbow Aurora lights formed in the sky and these colorful winds swirled around the like a tornado. With this infinite power Rikkun has in his hands, there is no way that a spell would block it. Once this attack hits, the Frozen Soul will certainly blink out of existence.

“!!!” Heushac released a blue blaster shockwave by swinging his giant sword.

“Futile!” The Outsider pointed his alien arm at the surging beam, and an invisible barrier protected him from being deleted. When the blaster faded, the Outsider dashed forward with an unbelievable speed, ready to attack with his white sword.

Time stopped again.

Everything froze. But like before, Heushac, with his impenetrable willpower, can move without any problems! The Outsider’s ability has no power over him!

“Haaaah!” Heushac swung his blade, and The Outsider parried. The burning swordsman’s attacks are reckless but every blow is swift and heavy.

“Why won’t you stay dead!” The Outsider managed to repel Heushac’s mauling attack, and he proceeded to stab the burning swordsman’s neck. Instead of blood, flames gushed out from the wound.

“Hrrraaaaaaaaaagh!!!” That was Heushac’s berserker cry as he exploded with blue flames. In the nick of time, The Outsider jumped back so that he won’t be caught in that explosion.

Time resumed its flow.

“Now is the time, Ric!” Heushac shouted.

It was all according to their plan. The Outsider is now perfectly aligned with the Frozen Soul, and once Rikkun unleashed the ultimate attack, we win this fight. The is an omnipotent-killing sword, so The Outsider won’t be able to revive himself once he gets hit. If he tries to evade it, the Frozen Soul will be the one to take the attack. This is a double checkmate.

“!!!”

Rikkun pointed the platinum blade to the designated linear target, and twelve magical circles appeared. Each and every magical circle represents the symbol of the twelve Gods and their powers. The symbols of a stag (Freyr), trident (Neptune), rose (Venus), skull (Hel), wings (Mercury), lightning (Zeus), interlocking triangles (Odin), lotus (Vishnu), circle with an arrow (Mars), eye (Ra), shield (Athena) and moon (Haliya) gave divine presences that indicates the combined power of the twelve. Altogether, the godly powers are not added, nor multiplied, nor squared. It is infinite.

“Haaaaaah!!!!” Rikkun stepped on his nitrous and jetted forward, passing all through the twelve divine magical circles, only leaving a rainbow streak on his trail.

“I won’t let you kill my love!” The Outsider shouted as he pointed the Heavenly Blade at the raging blonde knight. “!!!”

Black and white streams of energy swirled upon the white sword and unleashed a gigantic and powerful twin spiral beam. The is a spell granted only to the Outsider which can seal anything that exists. If Rikkun is hit with that, then he will be banished for eternity!

Rikkun bravely faced the beam. He has an infinite energy backing and protecting him from that attack. But for every inch that he closes the distance, a part of his skin will vanish. It’s like he’s being eaten alive by invisible termites.

“Alaric, do it!”

“Go, Ric!”

Those were shouts from Heushac and Key-chan. This is a gamble. I have delegated all the twelve God Cores to him, and if this attack didn’t work, then we don’t have any means to win. If he fails, we die. If he succeeds, we live. There is nothing to hold back now.

“Never give up, Rikkuuuuuuun!!!” I cried.

With the power of my never-ending love, I have stripped the Frozen Soul out of her supremacy. The ice on the Frozen Soul’s feet melted in an instant, and her omnipotent powers have been canceled out entirely for just a short amount of time. I managed to sneak out one wish.

I wish that we can win this battle so that everybody will continue to exist.

“I will never give uuuuuuup!!!” Rikkun shouted as he boosted forward, completely destroying the streaming blaster in front of his face.

Seeing that his ultimate attack is pointless, The Outsider spread out his hands in order to get hit by Rikkun’s charge. He’s doing it purposely so that his lover, the Frozen Soul, won’t be banished.

“I won’t let you hurt Erylle!” The Outsider shouted. He’s really giving up his life just to protect his love!

But then…

“Yohan, no!” Asumi-nee pulled The Outsider’s left hand so that he won’t be catching the raging attack head-on. But he was still caught. His right arm and shoulder banished from existence as soon as Rikkun passed through him.

“A-Asumi!!!” The Outsider exclaimed. “W-Why…”

“Haaaaaaah!!!” Now that the way is clear, Rikkun can finally destroy the Frozen Soul.

Three meters.

Two meters.

One meter.

Zero.

“Coocka doodle doo, sleepy bitch!” Rikkun made a swift stab straight to the Frozen Soul’s heart. The went in easily like a hot knife in soft butter.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!” The Frozen Soul’s scream is like a siren’s doom. Her voice alone is enough to make our heads hurt due to its unfathomable power.

Light gathered in the platinum sword, and then… she shattered.

She exploded like a mirror that fell from a hundred floor-building, leaving only tiny particles of shards. Those shards immediately converted into orbs of light that flew and danced to the skies.

“No!” The Outsider cried. “Eryyyyyylllleeee!!!”
