《Reincarnation (Reverend Insanity Fan-Fic)》Ch 19 - Exploring the inheritance together

Fang Yuan was thinking about the whole situation and every event that followed his rebirth.
It was not that he was not suspicious of Mo Bei but that he was too suspicious.
He analysed Mo Bei and his every action. This person was too calm and even advanced to middle stage earlier than A grade Fang Zheng. Fang Yuan was sure that in his previous life, Fang Zheng was the first to advance to middle stage and claim the reward.
Also, the Flower Wine Monk's inheritance was found out by some D-grade gu master in his previous life. That person also had gotten a liquor worm and hence his life improved.
'It seems the reason behind his advancement to middle stage first is the liquor worm. But why wasn't this fact disclosed in the past life. It's very difficult to hide the fact that he has a liquor worm.'
'However, this situation can also be explained. In my past life, Mo Bei found that D grade Rank 1 Gu master drinking near the bamboo forest and knowing his situation, he chose him instead of me to explore the inheritance. Later on when he became Rank 2 gu master, he passed on the liquor worm to the D grade gu master and made him reveal the Flower Wine Monk's inheritance after they had fully excavated the benefits from the inheritance. It's an ingenious plan.' , Fang Yuan felt enlightened at Mo Bei's plan and started seeing him in a different light. He never expected to see someone of such calibre back at Gu Yue clan.
'This world is full of talented and young heroes while I am only an ordinary person who will have to take all such calculated risks so that I can grab the opportunities. I am just too weak right now. I don't have many choices.' Fang Yuan sighed in his mind.

Fang Yuan and Mo Bei both were not worried about their safety since they had already taken a vow through Poison Vow Gu. Fang Yuan knew that in the lower ranks, Poison Vow was practically invincible. Even he himself was not able to get rid of it at this point. This practically reduced all his suspicions that Mo Bei was bringing him to a trap. It should be the actual inheritance.
Mo Bei and Fang Yuan both entered the cave. Fang Yuan had passed by the area outside many times before but had practically missed this place due to it being covered by the waterfall.
Both reached the place where Flower Wine Monk's skeleton was placed.
"How did you find this place? How did you know this was Flower Wine Monk's body and not someone else?" Fang Yuan questioned.
Mo Bei had long expected such questions and answered what he had long thought of in his mind.
"First, how I found this place is nothing more than a coincidence when I was searching for something in the woods. For the Second question, when I came here, a video started playing on a wall which was originally here. It showed the side of story of Flower Wine Monk. He gave me his inheritance in exchange of me destroying Gu yue clan as a revenge." Mo Bei truthfully replied to the second question.
Fang Yuan was shocked for a minute before suddenly making a sense of Mo Bei's actions. He always doubted as to why would Mo Bei hide this inheritance from his grandfather, Gu Yue Mo Chen and the Mo Family and instead take outside help.
'He does not seem to have any affection towards the clan. It's like he has already seen though the superficial level of the clan. He also seems to have chosen me since I rebelled against the clan rules and does seem to hold grudges.', Fang Yuan was honestly surprised and had the thought of making Mo Bei his pawn. He could make the few years to be spent here in Gu Yur clan much better with Mo Bei backing him.

Both Fang Yuan and Mo Bei then went towards the rock door. Mo Bei had already retrieved the Jade Skin Gu earlier. He was thinking of revealing it to his Grandpa through the same excuse as that of Liquor worm... that he received it through the Gambling rocks. Afterall he had bought 3 rocks fossils home and it was not impossible for him to receive 2 Gu worms through the rocks fossils. It all depended on luck. However, he did not want his grandpa to be suspicious of him.
As Mo Bei opened the rock door with his strength, the scene that was revealed to Mo Bei and Fang Yuan caused their field of vision to expand all of a sudden.
It was no longer a narrow tunnel or a secret room, but a large spacious plot of underground stone forest.
They estimated at initial approximation, the stone forest's size was over five square Kms long!
"We should be inside Qing Mao mountain now, this underground space should be naturally formed." Fang Yuan looked up at the stone walls and spoke.
The stone walls in this space were over sixteen meters tall, and the ceiling was also made of stone.
From the top, there were large dark red pillars erected. Each emitted a faint red glow, and so did the walls, just like the tunnel and secret room. The light although dim, allowed them to see some things at least.
Numerous pillars drooped down, forming an inverted stone forest within the mountain. Nature had its way with things.
Mo Bei suddenly spoke "Fang Yuan, I would like to mention some things which I have not told you before we move forward. I have received a Jade Skin Gu from the inheritance before exploring the part here. I also know that in this place are a lot of Stone monkeys and their eyes would become Jade rocks once they die which is the food for Jade skin gu. I want you to co-operate with me in retrieving those rocks. As per our agreement, 50% will go to you while I take the rest. I will even purchase all the Jade rocks from you at 10% above market rates as my sincerity. "
'Jade skin Gu, huh?' Fang Yuan nodded solemnly.
"I will take on the attacks from the stone monkey using the Jade skin gu and my better physique. You focus on killing them through Martial arts or moonblades.", Mo Bei planned out their strategy. When Fang Yuan was venturing here alone, he had to both focus on attacking and defending. However, if they both combined their strength and defense, they could bring results much faster.
With this, they went forward to start attracting some of the stone monkeys to see their capabilities.

The Last Journey
A slice of life litrpg story... or is it? It's burning slow, though. Moving on: War comes with a great cost. Lives and time wasted for most part. One could either be run with sword, be poisoned, be bowed, and sometimes meet their end with just a tiny speck of wood. With magic, it becomes even more colorful. From lightning, to worse poison, to hovering rocks, to weird bladed leaves, to whipping roots, and to a lot more odd things easily reasoned with magic. A wonderful creation. But once used to something more than wonder, more than tricks to gather laughs, it becomes worse. War becomes worse. For there is not only blood to be spilled. A particular town almost met the same end. Soldiers geared with swrords and bows came with mounts. Horses burning lush grasses as it cracked boulders and the soil alike with every step. The kind that only war ones could ever do. Even strange wheeled creations that oozed danger were towed, loaded with something meant to destroy. But not once had they acted upon what such devices should've done, nor what an an army is supposed to do. Siege never occurred, as much as a command to war. No. Magic existed so a simple little fire is all the worth the town has. No sword drawn, no arrows nocked, nothing. Just some mana spent and through the ash they march. That was how Nudius saw her end. It came not even as a surprise. She didn't have the moment to fully register what occurred before she found herself in an empty dark space. Life lost, time spent. All from a fire that had not even touched her. But she knew very well that it was magic. Something she wished to have and strived for to have. Yet it seemed that none of it would matter now. Nudius was well aware of what the color around meant, of the odd situation, of the unfeeling state of her being. It was death and that was it. She didn't have to worry or dream further. Although there wasn't what she truly wanted in what death to her is, but at least, Nudius was comforted to what she believed death is. Rest. But little did she know there's something more than that empty space. It wasn't only the promise of rest, but was also more than she could ever hope for. Another chance at life. Another chance to dream. ***Tags are there just in case. You never know! Umm... HI-MI-TSU. Story blurb+: This is slow burn, quite slice of life story about a girl learning magic. All the while as she fatten herself up. So yeah, progression fantasy. But there's Litrpg! Numbers! Magic! Spells! And of course! There's something more. But read on ahead, please. Oh yes. Plot! There is, too. Disclaimer: The cover isn't made by me. Just layered it with a text. I got it from a free website, if I correctly recall. I'll see to it. (Haven't worked on it.)
