《Original Wolf - (The Originals)》27 Need Help

A few days later Nevan and Rebekah were now in a tungsten metallic Subaru legacy that they stole from a couple of sketchy dudes who went into a gas station with guns hidden under their shirts.
Rebekah wanted to drive instead of running, so she took the wheel as they headed back towards the beaches of California.
Rebekah exclaimed- "I can't believe you hate cars!"
Nevan- "Why? I don't know how humans are ok with driving around in these metal death traps."
Rebekah laughing- "But you're a wolf!"
Nevan looking confused- "What does that have to do with anything?"
Rebekah started saying- "Well I mean don't wolves like to...." realizing she was going to compare him to a dog quickly changed the subject before he noticed- "...So we never did talk properly about that back there with Mille and Ivan."
Nevan- "What do you want to know?"
Rebekah- "Well for starters, why didn't you choose a mate from among your wolf brethren?"
Nevan- "Well when we were together as a pack I wasn't interested and when I did become interested, let's just say I realized who they were and that it wouldn't work out."
Rebekah- "Come on, you can't just stop there, why wouldn't it work out."
Nevan frowning said- "Take Mille for example, did you notice even though she said I should have taken a mate from among them, she had no feelings behind the words, she was simply recalling what she felt in the past."
"As an Original Alpha Wolf, I gave off a charm that the opposite sex found irresistible, it was instinctual for them to want to mate with me and bear offspring, even someone asexual like Mille still wanted to mate with me....but now I no longer have that charm, so they will no longer feel the same way they once did about me."
Rebekah grinned- "So you're saying, as a gentleman, you didn't want to take advantage."
Nevan grinning back- "Of course, you married quite a great man, I'll have you know." receiving a laugh from Rebekah.
Rebekah- "I feel sorry for Ivan then." recalling he was trying to win over Mille.
Nevan laughed at that- "Yeah, he certainly choose a hard one."
Rebekah's phone rang- "It's my brother, I wonder what he wants." looking more solemn as she answered- "Hey Nik, you don't have to worry, I'm nowhere near your precious city."
"Rebekah, please."
Rebekah frowning- "What's wrong?"
"I need you to come take my child and protect her, while I take care of the threats to her life, please Rebekah."
Rebekah- "Of course I'll help you Niklaus, all you do is have to ask, I'm on my way."
She looked over apologetically towards Nevan- "My niece is in trouble, I intend to help her."
Nevan smiled at her as he stroked her head- "I don't know why you're looking sorry, your niece is my niece now."
Smiling back she nodded "Un! let's go save her."
Halfway there Nevan received his call- "To what do I owe the pleasure, Aurelia?"
"I'm sorry my lord, but I can no longer handle the jaguars, I need your help."

Nevan- "I'll be there as soon as I can, you have to hold on."
Hanging up, now he was looking apologetic towards Rebekah, but she raised her hand before he could speak.- "It's ok, I'll go grab the baby and then when you're done come find me through our bond."
"I definitely will, those jaguars don't know what they've done." he said fiercely with eyes glowing as he opened the still-moving car door, shifting into a wolf as he jumped out and started heading south, yelling back- "I'll see you soon, take care!"

During the time Nevan left, Aurelia and the pack have been looking into the recent werejaguar movements and taking them out when the opportunity presents itself. Aurelia doing most of the heavy lifting since her pack was too young still.
It was becoming increasingly difficult to avoid the larger parties that started sweeping the forest to find them. She was starting to have trouble keeping her young pack safe on her own, knowing they were not ready to fight on their own, despite the constant complaining coming from Cora asking to allow her to hunt some alone.
As time went on, the werejaguar problem increased, more berserkers being created and humans being forced to turn into one of them, swelled their numbers.
Aurelia distracted failed to notice Ramiro's odd behavior, he was disappearing more often with Luciana and Benedita, the two shy girls that never interacted with Nevan.
Ramiro still taken over by the Original jaguar was happy to find the two girls who happened to be werejaguar spies set up before he was revived. They informed him about the black wolf with orange eyes which gave him the shock of his life and finding out Aurelia was deeply connected to him, possibly an old pack member that survived with him.
Upon learning this information he decided to keep their disguise going as they stayed with the pack to learn more about Aurelia's strength and weakness, increasing the confrontations between her and the werejaguars and berserkers.
Once he felt he learned all that he could, he started the real plan to trap and force her to call the black wolf for help, where he would use the forces he gathered to take them all out at once.

Aurelia in her brown-furred, 6'10" tall werewolf form was running behind her young pack as she urged them to keep going. "Faster! They are closing in." Only stopping when a berserker got to close to avoid the incoming swing. In urgency she came in closer then she would have liked, risking being grabbed as she used her arms to hold the berserker's arms as she went in with her jaws to crush the skull turning it into dust.
Noticing some of the pack stopped, yelled- "What are you doing?! keep going!" Pushing them along as they ran from the pursuit.
Berserkers were right on their tail, a swarm of over 50 were fanned out so they couldn't slip past them. Aurelia was doing her best to slow them down, taking out a few that managed to break away from the rest.
It didn't slip her notice though that they were being pushed into a corner if the berserkers wanted they could have caught up and finished off her pack by now.

After running for a good while the fatigue started to kick in and they started to slow, but to everyone's surprise, the berserkers were no longer in sight.
Cora panting- "Why...did...they stop?"
Aurelia frowning as she shifted back to her human form- "It's a trap."
Gabriela (A cute short style, brown hair, girl, like Aurelia, her idol.)- "A trap? What for? They can kill us at any time now." she angrily said.
Altair (he has dark bushy brown hair, almost black colored) - "We're dead, we're all going to die." looking very pale as he lamented to himself.
Vinicius (he has black hair, crew cut.)- "Shut up, don't say that," he said pushing Altair who just allowed himself to fall over.
Ramiro (is a beady-eyed, buzz cut styled hair, military-styled boy) He made sure to keep quiet as not to ruin anything along with his spies Luciana (shoulder-length brown hair) and Benedita (also Shoulder length brown hair).
Aurelia- "I can only think of one thing, they want me to call Nevan to come back."
Cora remembering Nevan and his irritating qualities, frowned as she asked- "So what are you going to do?... We do need his help."
Aurelia's ever-loyal was stumped between keeping Nevan away from what is sure to be a trap and following is last order to call if she ever needed help.
Aurelia- "Get up, they're coming."
They looked back as they ran to see the berserkers now walking towards them instead of running. Slowing down they wondered what was going on.
"What are they doing?"
"Look up ahead...they have no more reason to chase, were stuck here."
In the distance she could now see a cliff wall not far away, Aurelia sighing felt like she had no more choice, she just had to trust her lord will be fine, so she called him as they headed towards a certain dead end.
The cliff was still a day away and with the berserkers no longer in a hurry to push them to the end. It was an agonizing feeling to have to continuously move with no sleep through the entire day towards the cliff.
Coming out of the woods did not feel nice like one would expect, the clearing up to the cliff face was a ground filled with rocks. Closing into their inevitable doom was a solemn feeling for Aurelia, knowing that Nevan wasn't going to be able to arrive any time soon. Her pack was now filled with pale and ashen faces, fearful of what's to come.
For Aurelia climbing, it would be no trouble, but she would have to leave her pack, which she would not do. They were too exhausted to even attempt such a feat and far too young still to have sufficient enough strength.
Aurelia still considering this had her small unlikely hope dashed when she saw up on top, more berserkers and werejaguars waiting. They were now surrounded, the ones chasing them now coming out of the woods, clearly seeing the hundreds of berserkers with werejaguars sprinkled in to command them.
Hearing the many grunts the berserkers making and growling werejaguars was deafening against the cliff wall.
Aurelia turned to her pack who was squeezing together right next to the cliff as the enemy slowly tightened the net. Shifting into her werewolf form, her eyes glowing red as she growled at them- "It's time to fight, not to cower, we will die fighting!"
Her alpha pressure helped to snap them out of it as they shifted, ready to fight to their last breath.
Aurelia turned back to the enemy fulling prepared to fight to the death, protect her pack. That's when she sensed danger from behind and heard screaming. Ready for a battle she was already fully on guard, instincts taking over as she spun around and backhanded whoever was coming for her.
Ramiro was the one sent colliding into the cliff face, Vinicius and Altair were now on the floor bleeding to death after being attacked at the same time from Luciana and Benedita who shifted into their werejaguar forms.
Cora and Gabriela were too shocked to react as they watched it happen unable to stop them. Aurelia growled- "What is going on? How are they werejaguars?"
Ramiro slowly got up from the ground eyes glowing green, flanked by Luciana and Benedita. "Well that didn't work out perfectly, still two out three ain't bad," he said as he looked towards the now dying Vinicius and Altair.
Aurelia- "How do you have green eyes? And how can they be werejaguars?"
Ramiro simply laughed- "Questions, questions, so many questions...well to start with the real Luciana and Benedita died and were replace long ago, with the aid of magic you never even noticed."
The army closing in stopped, letting Ramiro play out his game. Aurelia moved next to Cora and Gabriela who were now to shaken up to be of much use.
Ramiro eyes glowing green as he spoke- "As for this poor sack." waving his hands over himself, "Well I took his body over not that long ago, during that time and with the help of my friends, I studied you and your kind, in the past we jaguars didn't know your weakness, but now we are fully aware of things like wolfsbane and Letharia Vulpina. When that mangy black mutt gets here we'll use all we learned to kill him once and for all, along with the rest of your wretched kind." spitting out the last words in disgust.
Aurelia angered, went into a rage as she charged him, the two werejaguar girls jumped in the way taking her claws in their stomachs, holding her back long enough for Ramiro to pull out out the poison powder he's been preparing, blowing it into her face.
The poison was potent as it took immediate effect as she started to weaken, barely keeping Ramiro off of her as he attacked. She managed to get a kick in though and send him back to the wall.
The army seeing two of their fall started to close in again to finish it. Cora and Gabriela running up to Aurelia to stabilize her from falling, tears running down their faces as the berserkers whose weapons were now all coated with poison closed in for the kill.
The battle seemed to pause in everyone's mind when they heard. "Am I late?" echo out.
