I woke up again feeling heavy, I knew what was to come after that. I opened my eyes to see that just like yesterday Lisa was sitting on my stomach, looking at me with a sheepish grin. I laid there without moving a muscle. After getting to know her, I was sure she lacked the courage to proceed further.

Lisa bent over in an attempt to kiss me; I reconsidered my analysis but did nothing to stop her. Her face was so close to mine that I could feel her breath. She then shifted her face to my right ear and said in a seductive tone “Don’t you feel the urge to make love to the beautiful women in front of you”

I stiffened from her tone but knew that it had more desperation than love or affection. I pushed her down and then shifted my body. Now I was the one upon her. I closed in on her face and just like she did, turned towards her ear and whispered in her ear “Yes I do”

I leaned again to her face and then bend down to kiss her neck; she shivered and then went stiff. I continued to place a few more kisses on her neck slowly going down towards her breasts. She jerked and then pushed me away. I was surprised that she held out so long. She sat there looking at me in the eyes; tears started flowing out and made their way to her chin. She looked down and covered her face in shame. I grabbed her hands and removed them from her face; she looked at me still sobbing. I don’t know why but I am weak against a crying woman and every time that happens it gets troublesome for me.

Lisa said while sobbing “You guys are leaving, I thought maybe like this I could persuade you to stay or to come back after seeing off Elena to her village or atleast try to have a baby so that I could look forward to something in life. I don’t think I can go on like this any longer. I want to talk, I want to be heard, I want to listen. I just want to live again like a human.”

It’s scary what loneliness can do even to someone like a princess, going such lengths as sleeping with a stranger so as to bear a child that could keep her company. Desperation can make a person do surprising things. In front of me there was no proud princess, no strong mage or a crafty witch. There was only a woman who had lost her fight against time and desperately looking for a reason to carry on.

For a few minutes we stayed in the same position. I considered what I should tell her, then I finally decided and said to her in a sincere tone “You shouldn’t stoop so low, afterall you are a princess of a country. I have decided that I am going to help you get out of the forest. Just bear with it for a while. I will come back for you, if I couldn’t find a way to get you out of the forest. I promise that I will stay with you for the rest of your life”

I said that on the spur of the moment, nonetheless I said it all without hesitation and determined to carry it though.

Lisa calmed down a little and looking at me she smiled and said “It makes me really happy to hear those words even if you didn’t mean them. I am happy that I could meet you two before I die.”

“I meant every word I said. I will come for you, will have to see if you are strong as you claim and survive this forest until then. Also I have taken an interest in that witchcraft of yours, I hope you can teach me some of it when I get back.” I replied to her placing my hand on top of hers.

Lisa was still smiling at me and slowly that smile became a happy laughter and then without warning she hugged me tightly, she held on to me for a while.

Elena woke up just then and was shocked to see us in that position. “What… What are you doing?” she stammered.

“It’s not what you think.. it’s just.. it’s just…” words failed to come out of my mouth, coupled with the fact that I was almost making out with Lisa a few minutes ago; made me a little bit guilty.

“I was just teaching him how to be aggressive, that’s all. Living with a girl alone for several days and didn’t even try to coup a feel. Don’t you think he would lose his manliness like that?” Lisa teased us both, now back in her usual state.

“I don’t think so.. Being a man has nothing to do with being shameless. If you’ll excuse me I will go prepare the breakfast” Elena quickly made her way to the kitchen.

I sat there feeling as dumb as a rock. May be getting Lisa out of the forest would be like unleashing horror upon the society. Explain this to Elena is going to be tough. Wait why I am even thinking that I need to prove my innocence to her. It feels like I have cheated on her even though we are nothing but strangers on a journey together.

Lisa stood up, patted my head and made her way to the kitchen to join Elena.

The day went by without anything unusual. Elena was now avoiding me, Somehow I feel that she’s is a little mad at me. I went to sleep with determination to wake up before Lisa, so as to not give her a chance to strike again.

The next day I woke up earlier than planned. I double checked our preparations for departure. After a few minutes Lisa came to me and gave me some big leaves. She told me that the smell of the leaves will keep small predators away and suggested that we should rub the paste on our hands and legs to keep us safe. I accepted them and stored them in our bags.

After breakfast both me and Elena started our journey after saying goodbye to Lisa. I once again told Lisa to wait for me and that I would be back for her as promised, I didn’t want her to slip into despair and take extreme measures.

Things were a little awkward again between me and Elena, she didn’t look at me while talking. We cleared the river and after walking a little distance took rest and ate lunch.

“You know there’s nothing between me and Lisa, she was just teasing me. You don’t have to act like I took advantage of her” I said to her trying to clear my name.

“Yeh.. Lisa told me about it but that’s not what’s bothering me. You promised her that you would be back for her and live together with her if unable to get her out of there, I just feel like I am causing trouble by making you accompany me. If not for me you could have helped her without any delay” Elena said in a troubled tone.

“I promised you first that I would help you reach your village, I would not go back on my promise to help others. Getting you safely to your village is my top priority” I said to her to put her mind as ease.

“But she is a princess.. I am just a commoner. I am not worthy enough to make the princess wait” Elena said dejectedly.

“There you go demeaning yourself again. To me princess, commoner, noble are all the same. I will not differentiate any human based on their status and power. You are as deserving of help as is the princess, I would not put anyone before you. You have to be a little selfish at times otherwise you would be taken advantage of or face misfortunes. Promise me that you will not consider yourself any less than others. Promise me that you would be selfish at times and stand for yourself. I am not going to all this trouble just for you to end up in a tragedy. As things stands now, I won’t be able to calm down after leaving you. Promise that for my sake to put my mind at ease.” I said to Elena concerned that her sympathetic nature would wound her in trouble again.

Elena looked at me and then nodded in affirmation.

“I promise that I would protect myself and try put my needs before others, afterall I cannot disappoint my savior” She said with a smile.

Things were normal again between me and Elena, just like it was before meeting Lisa. I don’t know when I would be able to come back to this forest. I wonder if Lisa would be alright. I dispelled the thought as I knew she is a strong woman. A few more months were nothing compared to the years she had spent alone in the forest.

Both Elena and Lisa are beautiful women who were helped by the MC in their time of need. I wonder if MC would end up with one of them or someone else. We’ll just have to wait and see. Good Night and enjoy the chapter.
