Alright, I know it has been way too long since I uploaded a new chapter. There is a reason for that.
"Ahem," a voice in the crowd says, "you mean excuse."
Alright, call it an excuse. Either way, here it is.
It has become abundantly clear to me that I am not truly cut out for Royal Road publishing. I simply do not think and write in a manner that allows me to churn out chapters on an individual basis. I need to think in full story arcs that I can write, re-write, and edit before completion.
So, what does that mean for this story?
Well, it means that you will have to wait until book 1 is complete and then I will upload all the chapters.
Good news! Book 1 is complete and I will be uploading the rest of the chapters, starting today.

So while the story isn’t full of gore for the sake of gore, it can get a little too descriptive.-The MC is a necromancer, so corpses and decay, and all the things that come with it, will be mentioned from time to time.-I’m a huge fan of Egyptian, Slavic, and Greek mythology, so expect quite a bit of that. That said, so much is altered, you’ll be hard-pressed to guess how exactly it is being used.-Despite being ‘immortal’ the MC can die. In the event he does, the story doesn’t end, simply time skips forward. Which in some cases is going to be worse than just dying.-I love plot twists, as much as I love red herrings and Chekhov guns. NaNoWriMo challenge :D and [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Some magic elements are borrowed from Savage Divinity and a handful of other good wuxia/xianxia stories, but the story itself is pretty original if I do say so myself. If you feel bothered by my borrowing elements from other magic systems, a) I'm not making money off of this... yet, and b) almost all Xianxia copy each other. This one, at least, has direction where other xianxia don't.

Sure, his Master keeps bugging him to take on some personal students of his own, but he's not in this teaching gig for good, it's just a temporary thing, as a favor. Author's note: This is the first story I'm writting in a coherent manner (I have written a lot of DnD background stories in the past), so bear with me if I make boring or overdescriptive bits: I'll regularly come back to rewrite whichever parts feel unpolished, especially grammatical errors. I would also appreciate any corrections or suggestions.
