For I Am Seth!
Seth POV
I awoke with the sun like every other morning. Changing into my running cloths I went out into the forest for a jog. [ Ah the fresh smell of pine wood in the morning. ] My eyes flashed when a hare ran away from the noise I was making. I suppressed the urge to chase it. The forest was dense and disorienting showing that Kaz had returned. I froze.
“I smell blood.” I breathed in deeply trying to trace the scent. Blood wasn’t an uncommon thing to smell in this town but this scent was so thick I could almost taste the metallic tinge. I followed the sent to a building that was built not five days ago now reduced to rubble. Akuji, two witches, and an unknown man stood outside staring at it. I walked up to Akuji.
“I smell blood.” I stated to get answers as quick as possible.
“… I would be surprised if you didn’t.” Akuji said not even glancing in my direction.
“What happened here?” He turned his head to look up at me with still silver eyes. His silver hair was fluffed up in random directions giving off the impression of bed head. [ So cute just like a rabbit. A silver fluffy Rabbit. ]
“Punishment?” I blinked in surprise making me forget the image of a silver rabbit hopping through a field looking for food.
“Punishment doesn’t smell of blood.” Hunt and war smell of blood.
“This one does.” Why would punishment smell of blood. I studied Akuji a bit closer and noticed a layer of cold sweat making me frown. I turned back to the building that gave off that metallic iron smell. [ Lets just go see. ]
“I wouldn’t go in there.” Akuji stated as I walked to the building. The smell hung in the air even thicker the closer I got. Walking through the door the smell almost gaged me. It was like a mist that hung in the air along with the scent of fear. I blinked the tears out of my eyes and covered my nose and mouth so I could concentrate. Rustling sounds drew my attention. A small green and brown tree thing was walking on roots near me. I stared trying to get my eyes to focus on the thing it was pulling behind it.
[ Is that a leg!! ] I watched as it drug the lag over to the base of a tree and started mashing it up to use as fertilizer. Glancing around I saw more of these small creatures doing the same thing in front of other trees. Very slowly I backed out of the building with my hair standing on end. Outside the building I just stared trying to process what I saw. [ Has Kaz been told of this yet? ]

I walked back to Akuji shaking a little from what was inside. “Have seen what was in there?”
“No.” Akuji shook his head. “There is no need to see. I was here the entire time the ‘punishment’ was being dealt. It is better if I do not see the scene that those sounds belong to.”
“Who did this? We need to inform Kaz immediately.” Akuji shook his head.
“The Mayor is the one who did this.”
“What?” [ Kaz did this?! ] I was stund.
“It was ‘punishment’ to those who were apposed to him in a violent manor.” I stood rooted to the ground. My instincts going wild telling me to go back and protect the pack.
“Really?” My voice came out as a growl showing my agitation. I have to go back. “I will head back now.” Akuji nodded to me as I ran my way back to my den making small animals scatter in fright. I need to inform the pack. This is not good news. I howled telling the others to gather. As I ran multiply howls responded to mine. [ Good. ] I kept running until I reached the edge of the forest. Once there I stopped and tried to catch my breath and tidying my appearance. It wouldn’t be good if I walked in out of breath and messy. That would just make everyone panic.
As I walked into my den a chirp caught my attention. Ching my wife came rubbing up against me. I smiled and pet Ching. She always calmed me down. She started perring and draped herself over my shoulders. I kept petting her as I walked further in. I opened the door on my left and walked in. Men, woman, and children were all sitting quietly on the floor waiting. Pillows were scattered everywhere to make it more comfortable. Some were in wolf form laying down. Smiling I sat down facing them.
“Morning everyone I have some bad news. Kaz has gone and killed a bunch of people on the other side of the forest today.” Some of the pack shifted uncomfortable but all remained quite waiting for me to finish. “Now I heard that there was a reason for what he did but I want us to all remain on high alert right now. No one is to go out alone. Understood?” Perfect silence answered. “Good. Other than that please go on as normal. And if you see Kaz inform me or Ching immediately. Do not approach, talk, or even show yourself to him.” Ching flexed her claws at the news. I just patted her signaling for her to wait.

“Curt, Issa, and Flora you are on watch first after four hours switch with someone else.” The three nodded. “That is all. Dismissed.” I stood up and walked out of the room and deeper into the den. Ching was no longer perring. I walked to a door written with the words Seth and Ching on it. Opening up reviled a cozy little home with a kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom. I walked into the kitchen and started making breakfast. Ching hoped onto the counter.
“Meow.” I frowned.
“Ching if you want to talk transform. You know I can’t understand you when your like that.” Ching flicked her tail unhappily. Slowly glittery red mist gathered around her covering her from view. I turned back to breakfast cracking eggs into the pan to cook.
“I asked what time it the meeting today?” A silky voice asked from beside me.
“I don’t know. Why?”
“Because I’m going with you.” With a start I turned towards Ching. She sat on the counter completely nude with a smug smile on her face.
“Don’t sit on the counter like that. I have to clean it now. It’s dirty to set food where people rub themselves on.”
“Gasp, are you calling your wife dirty?” Ching asked in fake hurt. “I am very clean you know. I do groom myself diligently.”
“Stop it Ching. You know what I mean. Why do you want to come to the meeting anyways? Its always boring.” [ Though this time will probably be different. ]
“Why Seth, I just want to come see what your meetings are like. Can’t I?” She tilted her head innocently and had big watery eyes.
“O-Of course you can but it’s only supposed to be one person per group. So I don’t think you’ll be aloud in.”
“What if I was a cat?”
“I don’t think they’ll let in a cat either.” Ching frowned.
“Don’t those Vamps get to bring in their cats. So doesn’t this mean I can come?” She glared at me fiercely. “It sounds to me like you don’t want me to go.”
“…” Ching and I glared at each other but in the end I glanced away first. [ Damn ] “Sigh, I understand. But you must stay in cat form ok. You understand right? No changing into a human.”
“Of course. I won’t change into a human while at the meeting. I’ll be the perrrfect little cat.” She smiled sweetly while I turned back to making breakfast. [ I hope this is going to go well. ]

The boy who fell in love with a tree
This is a story about a boy who fell in love with a tree… A story about powerful people changing the rulebook to stack the odds and line their pockets… I aim to create a story that will transport us so we get a glimpse of what that boy felt. The first 4 Chapters might be classified as a prologue depending on how you look at it. The boy quickly grows and the story really starts when the System arrives on Earth. I’m trying to achieve a relatively slow power progression and guide what we learn at a pace following the people in the story. There will be fighting but It’s more focused on base building. The MC is not all-powerful and all-knowing but he has some significant advantages. I’m trying to create a universe that makes sense in its own context. Much of what you will find, are my own world views, in a magnified way, as to make it for interesting fiction. The story took a life of its own when I started to write and I’m really happy with it. Not all of the tags I have marked will immediately be applied. There is stuff planned for far in the future such as the Sci-fi tag. There might be some cursing and gore but it is not very often. -------------- English is not my primary language, so I ask everyone to be forgiving. If you see a glaring error I would appreciate a msg but it is not feasible to fix everything. And if the story offends you, I wish you happiness, reading what you enjoy. ------------- Img link: https://unsplash.com/photos/EwKXn5CapA4

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.
