《The Only Dungeon》Preparing for War

[Z]
An ant colony is very confusing. It has many twist and turns that must only make sense to the ants themselves. I’ve managed to subjugate all the dirt surrounding the ant colony and making a complete sphere around it in the process. An ocd win.
There are a total of five chambers in the ant colony one is for eggs, two others are for the ants sorta like a meeting place, the fourth is at the bottom and has a very large ant that lays eggs constantly, this one is surrounded by very large ants much bigger than the ones I massacred, and finally the fifth one. This has personally peaked my interest because of whats inside, it has some weird white thing growing all along the floor and up the side of the walls. The smallest ants I’ve ever seen walk along it giving it small green things.
“That’s probably grass,” Enkindle says awaking from her slumber.
“You awaken!” I say shocked.
“Quiet puny, I’ve just graced you with my presence.” She says with rampant mental bedhead.
“Not likely. What is grass?”
“A small green plant that is the only thing of interest that grows here.” She says examining the white thing.”I think this is some type of plant also, but I can’t tell you which.”
I nod taking it all in. I’ve already tested the thing and there is now way I can subjugate it with my power. Just part of it would cost three to four hundred essence and I’m not going through that wait again.
A godly presence fills my senses making me want to run and hide. Dungian is here.
“Z I have gifts.”
She says in a sing along voice. Enkindle shrinks back into my core like a mouse hiding from a hawk.

“Really!” I ask excited.”What?”
“You need to come to the entrance of your dungeon first.”
I go to my entrance where Dungian is looming over my hole an entrancing smile on her face.
“What is a gift by the way?” I ask getting into a sitting position.
“Its something someone gives to someone when they do something good.” She says cryptically.”Now here are you gifts!”
A few seconds later something falls into me then as I rush to look at it a rush of essence enters me. It’s about fourteen essence which fills me up slightly as am hovering on about thirty essence.
“I’ll tell you about the others after you examine the blueprint that must be filling your mind.” She says laughing slightly.
I don’t need to be told twice as I grope at the thing filling my mind.
Its name is cave moss and it is a low level plant that grows in the harsh conditions of a cave.
“Plants will increase your ERR the best because of their natural growth patterns so you should grow this all over your dungeon. And this is.” She drops something else into my me.”A rock called basalt it is formed by volcanoes.”
I exorp the rock quickly going over the structure in my head. It is a fine grain rock that is made when lava is heated and cooled quickly. Its fairly hard and is a dark black.
“I am burying several other gifts just outside your sphere of influence. Once you start growing you will get them as a prize. But be quick,” she says teasley,”because they may not last too long.”
“Wait! What?” I yell but Dungian has already disappeared.”Why do you only come around for a minute then decide to leave?” I ask the empty space.

“Because she is a goddess thats why!” Enkindle screeches from the original cave.”Show them respect or they will smite you idiot!”
“I doubt that, but moving on,” I say examining the things I can now create. I can vaguely feel that the moss will cost ten essence to create a three inch by three inch patch. Which is way to big for this colony.”I’m going to start making the seperterate caves now. I think I have enough essence to fill them up with about thirty eggs. Do you think that I should make one cave or multiple?”
“You need more fear of the gods,” she says sighing.”Multiple. Spread the amount of ants you can make over the entire colony, so the attack will be simultaneous on all fronts. I think the biggest ant is called the queen and she lays all the eggs. She is the most heavily guarded one here so you should save her for last. What is the approximate number of ants in this colony.”
“From what I can count,” I zome looking over my entire body.” 15,652. Probably more counting the ants out scavenging.”
“Well damn Z you going to need more than forty ants to take these all on.” Enkindle replies slightly angry.”This will take you months to build up these kind of numbers.”
“I may not need that many. You see I got a plan.”I tell her my plan going into the specifics on what her part will be.
“And after you take the queen we would have won.”
Enkindle is quite for a few moments processing the strategy in her mind.
“It will need to be tweaked slightly, but this is definitely what a dungeon of old would do.”
I nod preparing to move the dirt around.
I create three giant caverns each one separated by only a few grains of from the ant colony. I narrow the tunnels at one point expanding it to the entrance of the colony making small holes so that air can flow in.
I start putting in eggs all over these tunnels stopping at 3 ES.
The eggs will take a few hours to hatch so I’ll spend that time cultivating.
“I’m going off to bed,” Enkindle says yawning.“Don’t wake me unless we are about to die.”

The Crisis on Planet 9
Welcome to the dream colony Planet 9, where the streets are stained by blood and the buildings are filled with human remains. The creatures roaming among the abandoned cars and flying vehicles resemble almost to perfection the mindless cannibalistic zombies born from the fictional nightmares of mankind. The cities were built in the retro style of the 21st century, but the technology of the 24th century is ever present, mostly within the bodies of those mortally challenged monstrosities. After all, what turned them into these things was not an evolved organic virus, an alien disease, or some sort of magical artifact, it was the corrupted and reprogrammed nanobots within their bodies. Originally, they were meant to heal them and help them access the tech around them, but now they were the origin of this disaster. Among the rotting dead and the Nano-Z, as the survivors called them, Kardian Pandora awakens two months after getting bit by one of them. A young teacher at the local Resonance High, foolish and naive in his own way, but now driven by the Sapient AI in the nanobots inside his body to hunt down other Nano-Z and learn how to survive. For now, his only goal is to become strong enough and rejoin his students and fellow colleagues, foolishly hoping to somehow be able to get back to the time when the undead did not rule the streets. Will Kardian be able to survive in this new savage world or will his naive outlook lead him to a dead end? Volume 1 can be bought on Amazon: Resonance High
