Silver Sword Sect (Arena)
“And… BEGIN!”
Crowds roared at the announcement, and even Maria looked on with excited eyes. The two disciples on stage began to approach each other cautiously until the boy with the brown hair made his move. Mana instantly left his body and formed several fire figures which resembled demonic beasts.
The beasts roared and rushed towards the other figure. Right before the first figure arrived the younger boy formed a shield and made several dragons made up of water. The beasts engaged each other, until the water dragons won out. Steam filled the stage, and the older boy used his mana to strengthen his body as he rushed towards his opponent.
Each boy had more power than any of the outer disciples, and they seemed to be in awe of the boy’s fighting power. The fight lasted a total of about half an hour, and the victor ended up being the 14 year old.
[Maria] “Every once in awhile some inner sect disciples fight, so the bell rings to tell us when! It’s a rare chance to see such powerful moves!”
Powerful huh? I have seen moves that make those seem like child’s play… however that was in my past life. Now I have the chance to be powerful myself… so I must work hard… harder than the rest.
[Maria] “By the way… how old are you? You seem to be pretty young.”
[Me] “… eight.”
[Maria] “*Sigh* so Elder Choro has done it again.”
[Me] “What? Again?”
[Maria] “Yeah… Elder Choro is known for taking people slightly younger than ten at times…”
[Me] “So that’s not normal…”
As I thought, usually you have to be ten. This elder is just prone for breaking rules. How does he get away with it?

I head out of the arena ahead of Maria and decide to do some training. There is a forest around here, so I think it would be a wise decision to practice my skills on the demonic beasts there. I shall go at night that way I can avoid all the other disciples.
As I’m walking back to my room / house I notice quite a few fellow disciples looking in my direction. I wonder why? My robe is the same as theirs, and I’m not doing anything in particular to stand out. Looking around I see no other people near me that could be the center of everyone’s attention, so I speed up and quickly enter my house. I take a glance in Maria’s hand mirror and see that nothing is wrong with my appearance. I sincerely hope I didn’t offend anyone or do anything wrong…
--------------Outer Disciple Meng’s POV--------------
I am standing with a few of my friends beside an outer-sect shop when I hear whispering.
[Friend] “Wha… Look at her man!”
Turning to where my friend was pointing I see a beauty. She is an elf with blond hair and brown eyes. Her figure was skinny, and she seems to be quite a beauty. I find myself drawn to her even though she does seem a bit young. I know for certain that she must be new because if she wasn’t everyone would know her by now. Considering her approximate age and time she showed up, the infamous Elder Choro must have done it again.
Every man’s eyes were viewing her as a wolf watches a sheep, and even the women were looking at her admirably. Just who is she?!
--------------Luna’s POV--------------
Night finally showed its face and I stepped out of the house. Running to the forest, I send out my mana to act like a sensor to tell me if any other disciples are in the forest. When my mana determines that there are no others I head into the forest.

Upon reaching a clearing I see two red-horned bears. They seem to be fighting, and the larger one is clearly dominating the smaller. Despite that fact, both bears seem to be wounded and are running out of energy.
I am pretty excited because red-horned bears have demonic cores that are full of thick mana. All I have to do is watch both bears wear each other down and then kill the victor. Suddenly the large red-horn bear struck down the smaller one and I suddenly sprang into action. I pulled out my sword, which I found in my house, and used wind blade to cut the bear’s head.
Hehehehe… two hard-to-kill demonic beast’s cores are now mine! Well, to be fair, they are simple to kill if one had an appropriate tier and experience, but for me it was a large accomplishment.
I pick up the demon cores and pull of the demonic red-horn bear’s horns. These horns could be used for magical items, so they should sell for quite a bit. Now to find a place to cultivate the cores.
I run around for a bit and finally my eyes gleam. The perfect place has appeared… and that is a cave! Sure enough, with just a little searching I found a cave hidden deep within the forest. I go to approach it when a roar suddenly shakes the mana within my body.
I look around frantically for the source of such strength when I suddenly see a Red-horned, Three-tailed Demonic Snake. This particular demonic beast was a rare breed and no problem for a stage 4 cultivator. Me being an early stage 2 cultivator could not even dream about it, but if I were to get a disciple from the inner sect… well they would have a chance. The only problem with this is having them have no questions about why I wanted this beast dead. Hmm… I guess it would be impossible to find an idiot in the inner sect willing to do things without question.
Sigh… to give up on such a perfect cave… tears begin to form in the corner of my eyes. Quickly wiping the tears, I head to find another place. One hour later I find a clearing at the outer edge of the forest. Here I could easily kill any of the demonic beasts, so I feel relatively safe. I sit down and cultivate the demonic cores.
I feel the cores fuel my mana, however my mana only breaks through to tier 7. It took me a couple days of meditation and three demonic cores, two of which were pretty high in mana, yet I only advanced one tier. Hmm… it seems like it will take a lot more mana to advance than previously. My research was correct when it said that it gets harder the more you advance.
Tsk! This looks like it will be harder than I originally thought. I return to my house that I share with Maria and lay down on my bed. My nose cringes when the musky smell hits me, but my exhaustion kicks in and I fall asleep.

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.

When Plush comes to Shove
An: So the last synopsis wasn’t really all that good, it was just some mumbo jumbo with no actual point to it so I decided to make a new one that’s a bit more accurate. Leo Lush, just your average everyday (slightly chubby) schmuck, or at least he would be if he didn’t carry around a stuffed toy everywhere he went.I mean, he was a man who could read the atmosphere a bit so put it away in his bag whenever having a stuffed toy out would be rude but other than that he brought it with him all the time, it was a memento from his girlfriend who had died three years ago and keeping it close made him feel better. That’s also why his classmates gave him the nickname “Plush”, though that's neither here nor there. One day at the train station he’d lost his dearest stuffed toy, one of his classmates found it and lobbed it towards him, something that they’d already done many times before, but this time something went wrong and Leo found himself falling in front of the train due to the force of the throw. Now follow Leo as the spirit that developed in his stuffed toy and killed him forces his ghost into another world to possess a different stuffed toy. He doesn’t know much about the world or why he’s there but what he does know is that according to a magic book his girlfriend was also sent to this very world when she died in a plane accident three years ago. An: For those who want to know a bit more about what kind of story this will be: I want it to be a chill feel-good story and stay as far away from those despair-fest stories as possible (No offense to people who enjoy them, I’m just not one of you)Let me make something clear; I’m not writing this story with hope of it becoming really top tier among RRL (Though it did get above rank 500 once which I’m still very proud of even though it’s gone back down to ~850 at the time of writing this) I just want to write a story that I would enjoy reading, that’s why I’ll be mostly skipping over a lot of the parts that I skip when I read other stories, such as stats, the exact value of money and other such precise statistics that no one(as far as I’m aware) really cares about all that much. Just feels like a lot of effort for something superfluous. There’s a single exception and that’s one of the battles, it’s not a despair-fest or anything but it’s got a different feel than the rest of the story due to me being in a funky mood while I was writing it.
