《Reincarnation Luna (On Hiatus)》Chapter 21: The Final Fight

Author’s Note:
I would like to point out a certain problem that has been mentioned by a few readers. There has been an issue with Luna’s past life being a scholar, yet in this life she acts more… immature. I understand how this may irritate some people, however I also feel as if this is a necessity. If you remember Luna is still in her youth in this life, so in reality even if she is reincarnated it is natural to still have a childish aurora. I understand that this thought process is different from many readers and writers alike, so it may cause some irritation.
I also have a problem with her scholarly mind. I am unused to writing from a scholar’s perspective, and am unable to morph my mind to that of a scholar's that quickly. I apologise for any problems this may cause. If you would be kind and patient enough, I would love it if you could point out some things I could have done differently as well as if you know any books I could take reference from. Thanks a bunch!

----------Luna (8 years old)----------
It’s been strange these past years. Master has been having me eliminate several different types of demonic beasts as well as overcome his occasional trials. These trails range from standing in lava as long as I can to convincing the wolves that I am one of them. The first thing was able to be done due to harshly allowing my body to get used to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold). The second one was a little more complex. I had to arrange my perpheromes to that of a female wolf, and then I had to learn how to communicate and follow wolf orders.
[Master] “Oi! Stop zoning out over there! You need to get all the nutrients that you can in order to pass your test!”
[Me] “I know, I know”
I eat my salad and then move on to my steak. As I sit there chewing my food, I think of how it got to this point.

*Flashback*
[Master] “Ahh… It seems as if you are ready.”
[Me] “Ready for what?”
[Master] “Your final test.”
I see Master’s eye twitch as he lifts his hand to scratch his temple. He often does this if he is nervous or stressed.
[Me] “What exactly is this test?”
[Master] “This test is a final battle. A final battle between master and disciple. Should you pass you will no longer be my disciple, and you will be ready for the world.”
I gulp and calm my nerves. My final test is approaching and I must be at my best. I will complete this task and head to the Kingdom of the Sun. Once there I will look for the one who started this… the one who started the war against Blood Elves. The one who pressured my kingdom to kill their princess. The one who holds many innocent lives on their hands. I will find them, and I will exact vengeance upon them in name of all who perished.
*End of flashback*
Master and I head out to the large backyard to fight. Master’s face twitches, and his fists are clenched tightly. My hands are tightening and relaxing simultaneously, and I cast a worried look towards my master. Today is my last day with him, and only if I pass can I leave with Master truly in peace.
[Master] “Be ready!”
I rush to meet Master’s rush of mana, and cut it with my wind blade. When the dust begins to clear I notice that Master smirk and disappear. I always hated his teleportation ability. I lift a hand and examine the mana patterns in the air to predict where he will land. Quickly, I swing a series of slashes towards an irregular pattern of mana. Master appears and quickly brings up an earth wall, blocking all but a few of my attacks. The few attacks faze out upon hitting his mana armor, and I watch as Master jumps back and pulls out his twin daggers. Now he’s serious.
He rushes at me and I face him head on. Master dodges most of my attacks and comes into striking range. He lands a few cuts on me before I scurry away. There is no way I can win like this. I can’t meet his attacks head on. I bend down and apply mana pressure to my anklets, and they fall down leaving a large cloud of dust. I bring my hands to my wrists and they too add to the cloud of dust, leaving imprints in the sand. Once again I lift my hands and bring them to my neck. The necklace / mana liminter falls down to the ground and I feel light on my feet as well as an enormous amount of mana enter me. Here I come.

I feel Master’s mana behind me and I turn to match him. This time I end up pushing Master a few feet away, and I ready my stance to meet his. I charge at him and slash at the air, causing a windblade to head in his direction. He responded by blocking them with another earth wall while firing fire arrows at me. I send a minni title wave his way, effectively blocking the fire arrows and attacking.
I feel heat above me, and I dodge the many fireballs falling upon me. I am left with an arm slightly blistering and then returning back to normal. My natural regeneration has grown tremendously, mostly due to the extreme training Master put me through. *Shudder*
I turned and dropped my duel blades, replacing them with my assassin knifes. While my primary weapon is my swords, with Master’s current way of fighting I have the highest chance of winning if I use my knifes. I used the wind to propel me quickly towards Master’s location. Swiftly I slice at any vulnerable spots I could find, causing many gashes to appear on his skin. I am then struck with his blades and go flying backwards. My left arm is temporarily crippled where I defended myself from his attack.
I lunge at him once more, but instead of going all the way I use a mixture of wind and fire to create high powered flame arrows that rotate and lock on to their target. Seven of the arrows are blocked with a high density water wall, while the other ten burrow into the skin. Master’s brows clench together in pain before his regeneration kicks into effect. No way am I leaving this opportunity untook.
Once again taking the lead, I send many wind slashes in his direction and use a mixture of earth and wind to move at tremendous speeds towards his back. I immediately get up close and aim my dagger at his throat and then stopping all movement.
[Me] “Haa...haa....haa… got you.”
[Master] “Haa...haa...do you really?”
Looking down I see his blade facing my stomach, and I push it away by borrowing the power of the earth. He uses this opportunity to use a firewall to create distance between us, and I once again find myself strategizing. After a moment's hesitation I seen a fire shape towards the wall that resembles me, and move around to the side.
As soon as Master sees the fire creation he slashes at it, noticing too late that it was not me. I sneak around behind him and lunge towards him. Turning around at incredible timing he matches my strict with one of his own and backs up a few steps. Lunging at him, I duck to avoid an attack towards my head and strike at his midsection. My aim leads true, forcing him to double over and I once again aim at his throat. This time he has no blade pointed against me, and my win is clear.
[Master] “Haa...haa...you did good, my disciple”
[Me] “Haa...haa…. Thanks, you put up quite a fight for your age…”
[Master] “Haa...are you implying that I’m old?”
[Me] “Haa...haa… never…”
[Master] “Let's head in for the night…”
[Me] “...alright.”
We head inside, and I collapse in my bed with my limiters back in place. I get the feeling that something big is on its way, and it's not waiting for me.
