Several humans gets attacked by monsters every time they wander in the forest especially at night. There are different type of monsters on every place, and the place they were in, was popular for black wolves that attack in packs. "hmpp. Are you saying that I'm safer when I'm near an old guy? You don't even look strong. But don't worry, I will save you when I have an opportunity and this will make it up for my debt." The old man laughed and continued walking deep into the forest. As night came, howls of wolves could be heard from different directions. Ming Li and the old man were slowly walking deep in the forest when they heard a scream not far away from the east. The old man looked at the direction of the sound, he grabbed Ming Li and suddenly rushed trying to follow the location of the scream. "Wha!? So fast!" Ming Li said with eyes wide open while being carried by the old man. Upon arrival on area, they saw multiple bodies of dead wolves laying on the ground, and at a short distance, they saw a silhouette of a man stabbing, slashing, and raging his long sword killing a multiple wolves at every blow. Even the rocks got sliced like butter, and the gust of wind from his slash caused the trees to uproot. The man was clad in an armor covered in blood of the wolves, with short hair and a heroic appearance, they can clearly feel the rage the man was emitting while fighting the wolves. At the side of the man, a young girl could be seen on the ground panting heavily due to various wounds. The girl's age seem to be twelve or eleven years old. Even weakened by multiple wounds, her face looks as white as snow and her eyes were as blue as the vast ocean. With her gaze, anyone will feel the calmness in her hearth. Even faced with great danger her expression remained serene. She also wore elegant clothes that reflected her extraordinary background. The old man's figure flashed and appeared near the warrior, he waved his hands which caused a light mist to appear that covered the area. When the wolves felt the mist, they retreated a few steps causing Ming Li and the warrior to be shocked. "Wow that old man knows some amazing tricks, so that's why he's walking without care deep in the forest." Ming Li thought to himself. Facing the old man, the warrior saluted "Senior, I thank you for your assistance, I am Xi Fan a warrior of the Xi Clan and this young lady is Xi Nan." "Hoho, young man, I believe you can defeat all those wolves on your own. Those wolves number a lot but they are weak. The reason why I interfered is because of the poison on your body. The warrior's face changed, he looked at the old man with a slightly confused expression and said "I know the young lady is sick since birth, but there were several doctors that tried to cure her illness, however no one succeed. Also, no one mentioned that the young lady was poisoned on any occasion since birth." The old man grabbed the empty space on his side, and a pill appeared floating towards the warrior "Here consume this pill, It will make you feel better. Also, carry this young lady and I will help you cure her." When the pill landed on his palms, it emanated a scent that instantly made him slightly feel better. Naturally, the warrior would be suspicious of anyone who they came in contact with. But the old man not only helped them, he also felt like someone gentle and righteous. Upon some thought, he consumed the pill and the poison on his body rapidly decreased until it completely disappeared. "Such Amazing Pill! This Senior is not someone simple." he thought to himself and his suspicions lessened. "May I know the name of Senior?" The warrior asked respectfully. "My name is Chao Shi, a wandering doctor and this boy is Ming Li. Since you feel a lot better, let us look for a nice place to stay." said the old man. The warrior nodded and carried the young girl on his arms following the old man. They walked several kilometers and saw a small village not far away. "Hmm. The warrior replied "It is because Senior spreads the same mist he used earlier around us everytime and that kept us safe in our journey." "What? Upon arrival near the Village, they saw an abandoned hut and decided to stay in it for a while to rest since they are with two kids and two people are poisoned. The warrior let the young lady lay on the bed inside the hut, and sat on guard beside the girl. The old man also sat down outside the hut and waved his hand inwardly from his side. A Furnace and various herbs suddenly appeared out of thin air, then he started mixing the various herbs. Ming Li watched the old man and carefully observed his every movement. The old man noticed this and smiled. He then said "Young one are you interested in alchemy?" "Maybe I'm a bit interested. Since I want to become the strongest person. So naturally a strong person needs to have a little knowledge on alchemy." Ming Li replied proudly. "Good.. Good. Since you are interested, how about learning a bit of of my arts? Since it must be destiny that brought us together" He waved his hand throwing a book a Ming Li. Ming Li got startled and caught the book. "What is this book about?" he said "That Book is an art about plants. If you wish to learn this art you can gain enlightenment and knowledge from that book. If you need my assistance just tell me" The man said while laughing. Ming Li arrogantly replied "Reading this simple book and understanding it will be easy. I do not need your help." He then flipped the pages of the book and started to study every page. Some hours passed, the old man was still concocting numerous pills while Ming Li was still staring at the book, then Ming Li thought to himself "What the hell is this bullshit. I can't understand a thing. Its full of useless words that i can't read. Is this old man playing a prank on me?" The old man suddenly said without looking at Ming Li "If you are fated you will understand it. You just need to focus and clear your thoughts. It might be your first time seeing an art. Every art are learned differently. This one will only be learned by the fated, so just clear your thoughts and let the art lead you." Ming Li looked at the book, he cleared his thoughts, and in a short while, his consciousness was drawn to a vast world.
