After limping to the kitchen and dropping off the tray, Tom got together a small assembly of five.
Chief and three of her sisters sat across from Tom at a round table.
"Ok wizard, what are your questions?"
Taking in a breath to get his thoughts in order.
"That sub out there, how easy would be change from construction to mining?"
They looked at each other and then back at him. The oldest one said.
"It would be a pain in the ass, but it could be done."
Having a smile on his face as if he knew he would get that answer.
"So, how about making it air-tight in a vacuum?"
She was about to answer him when Chief's eyes want wide open and nudging her arm. Turning to look annoyed at Chief.
"What you overgrown hamster?"
Chief was still nudging her arm and looking at Tom when she replied.
"He wants to make a space ship. A 'Mining' space ship."
It must have been a family thing. She looked even more annoyed at her little sister.
"And how are we going to even get something like that in space?"
Not taking her eyes off him.
"Kaylee, he got a hundred-forty-four ton dozer to float."
All four of them were now looking at his smug face. Chief yelled out.
"We need to call a council of engineering!"
Before running out of the small room along with her three other sisters, she stopped at he door.
"Hey Ship Wizard, do you think you can make grav-plating for the floors?"
Blinking a couple of times and coming up with a working theory in his mind.
"Earth's gravity will over power anything I can make down here. I don't even know if I can, maybe when we get in space."

Turning round to go outside and yelling.
"We'll work it in as an add on."
Tom got up and walked into the quiet drydock room. As he walked pass the mess hall, Tom could hear a lot arguing going on inside. Some of the guys were taking a smoke brake by an air lock. They stopped talking when Tom opened the inner door.
"Hey man, what are you doing? You don't have any diving equipment!"
Telling as he closed it.
"I'll be right back, I need to get a big rock."
It was a vary simple system for the outer door. It would not unlock if there was pressure difference from the inside. So, Tom made the water move away from the outside door. He walked in to a bubble air and stepped on to the water. It took about twenty minutes to find a rock as big as him and without too much green junk on it. As he walked back, a gnome diver swam up to him. Enlarging the air bubble to engulf her.
She fell to the bottom and bounced a little. Spitting out the regulator and then cursed about crazy ass wizards. Tom put out a hand and had the water stand her up.
"Come on Chief I'll walk you home."
Looking at the stone behind Tom, she asked.
"What's the rock for?"
Not really knowing how to explain magic to her, He just said.
"I need a baseline for Earth's gravity and I think I can use this a gravity generator."
Giving out a grunt.
"Next time if you are going to go for a... Water walk tell someone."
He let out a snort at water walk.
"You terrified the welders and they came running in on the meeting."
Putting his heads up in surrender.
"Ok, ok. Lets get inside and I can get to work on this."

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?
