Chapter 9
Today was the last day of the tutorial, but that didn’t mean that Erik could start relaxing. On the contrary, he was tired since he couldn’t sleep a wink the day before.
The engineers had finished the construction of the fortifications and cleared as much forest as possible. The clearing had a radius of two kilometres.
Erik was pacing back and forth, waiting for the ominous ding from the system notifying him of the enemy.
“The enemy is here!!!”, someone shouted.
It was just after lunch when the enemy appeared. Erik was obviously surprised when there was no notification. The whole base awoke from its stupor and exploded into action. Soldiers manned the walls, tankers started their engines and machine gunners manned their weapons.
Erik shouted to the sniper who discovered the enemy first, “What did you see?”
The sniper shouted back, “Sir, it’s just a sea of green.”
Erik thought it was obvious since they were in a forest but despite that he asked, “What is a sea of green?”
“No, Sir I mean they are green.”, the sniper shouted.
“Who is green?” Erik asked.
“The enemy, Sir.”, the sniper answered.
“What, the enemy is green?” Erik asked with a hint of confusion in his voice
“Yes Sir, they are little green people.”, the sniper answered.
Erik climbed the palisade wall, took a soldiers’ binoculars and looked at the enemy through them.
...
...
...
It was the fuckin’ goblins. A trope so overused that it transcends the concept of tropes themselves. The essential stepping stones for any budding teenager hero.
They were sloppily marching towards his base without a care in the world as if they had already won. Erik was exasperated. He thought that even the wolves were smarter than these idiots.

Their weapons were rusty and their leather armours looked like they were chewed on and spit out before they put them on.
They looked more like circus freaks than soldiers. Erik was feeling confident after seeing his enemy. Usually humans would have problems with eradicating goblins since they used sword and spears but Erik was different, he had a perfect meat grinder prepared.
While Erik was berating the enemy in his thoughts for their negligence, there was another shout from the sniper, “There are more enemies coming!”
Erik turned around and shouted, “Where from?” and the sniper shouted back, “Everywhere sir! We are surrounded again sir!”
Erik had a single thought, then.
SHIT.
He was surrounded again. Ares was not a merciful god.

Your author here.
*dogeza* (_ _)
I apologize for the short chapter today, but today was just not my day. My head is killing me, a runny nose and my sinuses are clogged, a perfect trifecta.
Depending on my state, there may or may not be a chapter tommorrow, but I already planned out the action sequences so there's that. It will be explosive and chaotic with plenty of gore, that's a promise.

Disciple.
I was there before Death was born. I was there when the Sea of Chaos formed. I was there when the first universe was born. I was there when life appeared for the first time. I was there at the dawn of time, and will be there for its twilight. Long story short I am old and powerful. I would be called an Eldritch Abomination by many among you. This however is not my story. This is the story of my favourite human, a man who managed to surpass my expectations until the day of his death. A man to whom I personally taught the deepest secrets of Creation. The story of my Disciple, born to a world within the Fayd. A man who was called many names. Godkiller, Guardian of the Gates of Death, My Left Hand, Destroyer, The End by his enemies. That Crazy Dude by his allies. I call him Sam-Sam, mainly to annoy him. But primarily, this is a story of a man doing his life right. With all my wisdom I can’t think of him living a better life than he did, given his circumstances. So gather round, for the story of my dear friend. Not a litrpg.
