《The Phoenix Aspect》C0012: Divine Training System

"Divine Training System? Isha what the hell is the Divine Training System and what do you mean by 'I don't have much time left'?" Jayde demanded.
Jayde suddenly had an ominous feeling.
"Jayde the Proteus Artifact was created to guide certain individuals on Doha to reach their full potential, to stand on top of this world," Isha stated.
Isha then explained to Jayde that the Proteus were an ancient race that had seeded numerous planets, across multiple dimensions, before they left the known universe they left artifacts on many worlds that would guide worthy individuals. These artifacts were created using a combination of their best technology and their most potent magic.
Through her contract with the Proteus Divine Artifact System, Jayde had now gained access to a small pocket of space, which she could teleport to. When her magic was still sealed only a tiny portion of the Proteus Artifact had been activated, but now that her magic had been unsealed, the whole system had activated, and Jayde would soon be drawn into this small dimension.
Jayde was still trying to wrap her mind around the whole concept of a race of beings being so powerful that they could create their own dimensional space when she felt a vast force bearing down on her, then a large sucking force squeezed and pulled her.
Although the feeling was not pleasant, it wasn't painful. Next thing Jayde knew she was standing in a white room. Standing in the center of the room was a tall, distinguished looking man.
While he looked somewhat human, he features had a feline cast to it. His pupils were elongated, his eyes were emerald green, and his hair had various shades of browns interlaced with creamy white and grey. His ears tapered into a point.
"Hello, Jayde, nice to finally meet you face to face," Isha smiled as he cupped his hands and bowed.

Jayde's jaw slackened as she stared at the man in front her with a slightly dazed look on her face.
"Isha?" Jayde asked slightly hesitantly.
"Hmm" Isha nodded.
Jayde was really surprised to see his appearance, she had always assumed that Isha would be human, so his appearance was quite a shock.
"Welcome to the Doha Divine Proteus Artifact World."
"Er... your appearance?" Jayde wasn't quite sure how to ask him about his looks.
Isha chuckled softly at Jayde incredulous look.
"My looks are based on my creators," he said gently.
"If you find them disturbing I can change them."
"Ah.. no..no it's fine, I mean you look great," Jayde said, a bit embarrassed.
"I am used to aliens looking different, it .. well it was just that I wasn't expecting it ...umm not that you an alien."
Face-palming herself, she mumbled, "Oh God, this is so embarrassing."
Isha burst out laughing, quite delighted with Jayde's reaction.
Glaring at Isha having so much fun at her expense Jayde decided to pretend that nothing had happened.
"Okay so give me the run-down, where am I, and what is up with this room?"
"This is your space" Isha clarified "Right now, it is just a simple room, we call it the Proteus Pavilion, but as you grow and gain more power and rewards you will be able to manipulate this space, you will also be able to enlarge your space as you gain more power."
"Rewards?" Jayde asked.
"Yes, you will be able to earn points for completing designated training, doing missions and reaching goals there are also others ways to earn points, but you will need to figure that out on your own. I must also warn you that the system will also punish you for any failures."

"Punish me, what sort of punishment are we talking about here," Jayde asked apprehensively.
"It will depend on the failure," Isha answered.
Cocking his head, Isha seemed to be listening to something "We still have a couple of minutes before your trainer arrives," he announced.
Walking to one side of the room, Isha waved his hand, and a screen appeared.
"This is the reward exchange interface, as you can see you have already accumulated five points, these points were awarded to you for lifting the first layer of your seal," Isha said point to the top right-hand corner.
Walking up to the screen Jayde saw a large 5 in the top right-hand corner that Isha was pointing too. Under the large 5, there were three menu tabs. Skills, Dimension Upgrades, and Market.
Jayde was really curious to see exactly what each of these tabs offered, but Isha was already walking to the other side of the room.
"Here is your mission board," he said, activating another screen.
Quickly walking over to the new screen, Jayde noticed that there were small cards on display, but each card was greyed out.
Looking at Isha and raising her eyebrow in query, she pointed to the screen.
Smiling gently Isha answered her unasked question.
"There are no available missions at the moment. Currently, your skill level is too low, once you have grown stronger, you will be able to complete available missions."
"Ah ok, so where do these missions come from?" Jayde asked curiously.
"From all the different Proteus systems scattered throughout the universe and across multiple dimensions, think about it like an inter-dimensional mercenary board," Isha replied.
"But a word of caution, be careful when choosing a mission, the penalties for failure are quite severe."
DING!!
"Ah that's White, your first trainer," Isha announced.
"White specializes in martial arts, which should be right up your alley ❶."
