On the sea surface, Shi Xiong gave a sigh of relief. He praised his wits for running away before Blood Witch started the crazy sacrifice. If even Ying Xiu was not able to show any resistance then how could he?

"Unlike you, I'm killing you for your sake. You can now apologize to your brother and other relatives in person when you go to the netherworld," Blood Witch ended her words as she sucked the last drop of energy from Skyrise Emperor.

Skyrise Emperor died just like that. No one was there to mourn for him. All his strength, influence and glory didn't stop him from dying in a way as painful as that of his brother and other relatives. In his last moment, he regretted his decisions.

He didn't regret killing his brother or relatives but what he regretted was not prepared enough to face Blood Witch. In this world, there is no medicine for regret...

The entire matter, between Blood Witch facing the first tribulation lightning and absorbing the energy of Skyrise Emperor & his subordinates, only took ten-breaths of time.

Up in the sky, the dark clouds were seething in anger with every passing second. They were about to send the second tribulation lightning towards the Blood Witch, but then they stopped.

In the north side of the ruined imperial palace, there was a violet cocoon floating along with the debris. The violet cocoon was more like a defensive barrier instead of a true cocoon. The violet cocoon was semi-transparent and one can see a woman in her early thirties along with a three-year-old kid.

The cocoon made a jump towards the sky. The cocoon shattered on its own after reaching enough altitude. Afterward, the woman and her child were hovering in the sky even though all forms of spatial magics were banned!

Blood Witch noticed this as well. She was shocked to see someone alive in the imperial palace island besides her. Most of the people either died due to the aura of tribulation lightning, and some were killed by her. Some dozen lucky rats did escape though.

When Blood Witch sensed the cultivation level of the two hovering in the sky she was more shocked. The woman was only at Golden Body realm!
