“It is in human nature to treat everything and everyone for granted. This is of course unless it is taken away.”
Benjamin POV
Suddenly it all stopped.
The flow of emotions was cut out from me and I regained my senses.
Looking down on the ground I saw a pool of dark green blood but no corpse, weird I was sure I was beating someone not long ago here.
Looking around I saw the dungeon people walking around and talking between each other. They treated me as if I was no longer there but some would still throw me frightened glances.
“I guess we did it hehe.” I got on my feet and took my sword that was deeply sticking into the ground out of it.
Having nothing more to do here I looked at my party menu and saw that only me and Daisy were any longer on, the others logged off. She was also waiting in front of the dungeon for me.
Having nothing to do here any longer, I walked outside through the portal that we came in.
As I stepped outside I saw Daisy grinning at me and giving me a thumbs up but it was not what caught my attention. In front of me with a bright light a small human “spawned” out of nowhere.
Recognizing her immediately and understanding what it meant I saw Fiora as she looked up to me and started to cry. She looked down and wanted to avoid looking me in the eyes in shame.
“Fiora what happened?” I packed her by her shoulders softly and she cried even harder now.
Before I could ask again she packed my arm and urged me to go towards the town.
I picked her up and we ran as fast as possible.

My mind was blank as I did not know and could ask nobody what even happened.
We ran until I felt the tiny body in my arms tense up and she pointed a finger to my right side. There stood a man, clad in dark leather armor and with a shortly treated wound on one of his hands.
“Take nothing from us, otherworldly filth.” He took a dark sack that was leaking a red liquid from the bottom. He put his hand inside and took out a head.
When I saw the dark brown hair color I immediately recognized it. Looking away I looked towards my right hand. There I had a bracelet made by a nice woman I have spent my time with in the last few weeks. A bracelet that was gone now, lost or destroyed, I do not even know. I do not even know if I lost it during my Berserk state or before that, after all I never really paid much attention to it.
“Pay for everything.” He threw the head at me and it flew past me as I was still in a stupor.
As I slowly turned my head and focused on the flying head, the man said his last words to me. “Filth, you have only yourself to blame, all actions have consequences. Even giving hope to a dirty whore.” And he disappeared.
I put Fiora down and picked the head up.
Her eyes still open, they made sure that she would look at me. They also made sure that I would recognize her. All of her distinguishable features were still there. A few bruises and cuts. Wounds that my mind desperately did not want to recognize.
Why do people close the eyes of a dead person? Because the sight of a corpse looking at you is disturbing. Yes, it is also a gesture of “sending them off in peace”, but I closed them because I felt ashamed.

I could feel something being pressed against my cheek repeatedly and saw Fiora crying and giving me kisses. She was desperate for some reason and moved her lips as if she wanted to tell me something but I dismissed her and kept on staring at the head.
“ha ha... What do I do with the head now?” I called out towards no one and just tried to comprehend what even happened as my mind would not accept it.
I turned my head and saw Daisy standing there and looking worried and with tears in her eyes at me and her head. “W-what do you mean?”
My mouth twitched. “Do I just leave it here or are there places I have to bring it to? Do I bury it? Do I look for the body? I-I..”
She came to me and helped me on my feet. “Yes, they are called cemeteries. We should go there..”
I stood up and held the head in both of my arms but then saw Fiora still clinging to my leg. Taking the head by the hair and giving her the left hand we walked together.
My mind was just so... confused.
All this anger and I do not even know who to direct it to, I grimaced and kept on walking, lost in my little world. This was just the worst.
Who were those people? I will slaughter them.
Why did they do it? Doesn't matter, they will pay.
Why do I not cry? Another reason to be angry. Angry at myself.
A destructive rage that consumed me slowly but steadily, a feeling that made my broken mind stick together and not break apart. A force that felt strangely familiar and filled me, completed me.
Before my eyes a notification popped up: Unique mastery unlocked. Fury mastery unlocked.
I could not care less.
As I was still not paying attention to anything, I heard a strange manly but beautiful voice inside of my head. “Ha ha ha, yes. You are perfect indeed...”
AN: No, not a split personality or anything like that.
This is also not a "turningpoint" for this character, no, it is only the beginning.

Divine Mortality
Divine Mortality is about the experiences of Players stepping into a new massively online world. A video game which was crafted with near-future technical advances, a game that provides seamless virtual reality headset and control support, a game which was hidden until it's surprise hit release shocking the world of boring and mundane MMORPGs played today, and a game that has been described as a miracle creation. Something which is difficult to create in Today's REAL WORLD, yet, it's not impossible with the right conditions and intentions. I try to implement concepts of my dream MMORPG which I believe will work and fulfill a Player's fun, immersion, creativity, and social world. The story in season 1 follows the first person perspective of an enthusiast of the game, Amulet Pond. Season 2 follows a new individual called Sayooshi, written in a more third person perspective (attempted light novel). (Recommended!) Season 1 covers the rough chapters 1-52, Season 2 (chapters 53+) should be better in quality. You can start reading from 53.
