《The Legendary Martial Artist: Failed Beta》Item Description

I was unable to move from my bed, so during my first days in this world, and did not have any choice but to remain confined in a room.
I was thinking about my transmigration and its implications.
Could I find a way back to my home? I had a family waiting for me. It's has been a month since I called my mother for the last time despite her insistence. I had not seen my father, brother, and sister for months. I had been unfilial always saying that I was busy with my life while in fact, I was having fun all day long.
Slowly warm tears started to flow on my cheeks. These were my tears of bitterness. Luckily no one was present to see me in this state, breaking out of my Sun Chen persona.
When the morning came, I received a crate from the Young miss. It was a maid that had brought it to me. She was a familiar face according to Sun Chen's memories. He had taken care of her when she had started to work from the When Family as they originated from the same village.
Like any other people, she used to admire him when he occupied the position of the chief among the wen's family forces.
Now that he was in this state, and that there were talking about the fact that he had been permanently crippled and that the position of chief was going to be stripped from him, she was not even bothered to look at him in the eyes.
Perhaps she did not want to hurt him more by talking about his weak state or just like many others she tough that he was pretty useless.
Whatever, I did not feel offended at all. On the contrary, I was not The original Sun Chen. His worries, his fear, his enemies, his grudge, I had decided that I was not going to acknowledge them as I saw in my memories that he fitted the description of an evil man himself.
Under the order of the When family, he practiced many evil things like murder, assassination, coercion, and torture. There were many innocent people among his victims.
Since the first massage session, I could move while feeling a lesser amount of pain. Even though I was still unable to feel my legs sitting up was made easily possible.

It is exactly what I was doing as I started to read the book from the crate next to my bed.
There was no one but me in the room, in this silence, the window was slide-open bringing warmth from the sunlight onto my skin.
From Sun Chen's memories, I knew that the books that I was going to read were high-end objects in this kingdom.
Most of the things we're written on wooden scrolls and only the most useful knowledge were written on books since their appearance two hundred years ago.
I took the book with a red cover in my hand and was not that surprised when a window popped up in my field of view.
ITEM TIGER ROAR PALM MANUAL TYPE BOOK QUALITY WHITE DESCRIPTION Contain useful information to learn the skill: TIGER ROAR PALM
it was one of the features of the game that I had been beta-testing before transmitting to this world.
If the player wanted to examine an item, he just had to touch it and the item description will appear as soon he willed it
I opened the book and another window appeared replacing the last one.
Learning process:0%
I started to read seriously. Before coming to this world and obtaining a martial artist memory, I will have had difficulties understanding whatever was written inside.
It was not only a book with instructions as to how to tow a punch as I had initially thought it to be.
There were also informed about the field of medicine, like the blood flow, the heartbeat, and the creating rhythm; the field of physic laws mentioning notions like momentum, inertia, and wave propagation; the field of philosophy with some mysticism involved.
With my common sense as a man living in the 21st century, everything in front of me seemed like a mess of words bit thanks to memories of years of martial arts practice, those information dump in form of poetry was starting to make sense.
The number on the progress barre was also going up as I flipped the page:
1%, ..., 22%, 73%, 99%
When I finished reading the last page the progress barre reached 100% and a dialogue box appeared in front of me.
Do you wish to learn the skill: Tiger Roar Palm? ( the strike are so powerful that they make the sound of a roaring tiger in the air) Yes no

I hesitated because I really wished to test it out but I finally choose "no" in the end.
From my memories, or rather those of my predecessor, I knew that some martial arts technics could put a huge strain on the bones, muscles, and tendons. The original Sun Chen had mastered the Tiger Roaring Palm successfully in the past and was injured while doing so. As the newest martial artist in this world, I did not dare to court the risk of further injuring my body.
But I was not depressed. There were many other martial arts manuals in the crate. Some pertained skills like bow handling, weapon throwing, punching, kicking, and swordsmanship. still, I knew from their description that none of them were fit for my actual self.
Some needed precise movement, a stable footing, a strong body, and simply none of the things that I had.
I was starting to lose hope when I saw a particular manual containing the teaching about a palm technic. I had ignored it from the start since I knew from Sun Chen's memories that not only it was incomplete, he had tried to master it in the past without success. Some people had mastered it but the skill did not seem that powerful in their hands. The gains were not worth the time lost.
But I was different after all I had a game interface that allowed me to learn any skill seemingly pretty fast.
ITEM ZYTHER PALM MANUAL TYPE BOOK QUALITY WHITE DESCRIPTION Contain useful information to learn the first half of the skill: CELESTIAL THREADS CUTTING PALM
The name of the original and complete skill seemed domineering. Too bad only the first part had been copied in this book.
No one knew where the second half of the skill was and perhaps I was one of the few people who knew that the seemingly simple Zyther Palm originated from a much grander technic.
As I started to read the book, the reading progress appeared and started to go up.
In the world of martial artists, there were many ways to class martial arts technics among themselves.
Some people grouped them into Two classes namely, the hard skills and the soft one.
If hard skills focused more on the explosiveness of the strikes, soft skills on the other hand focused on the clever use of strength and the mitigation of damage through perfect control over the body and astute movement. In this way, tai chi in my all world could be considered a school of softness.
The Zither Palm was a skill that did not put too much stress on the body neither was it too powerful. It had five tiers. And at the highest level, I will be able to create twelve pressure points anywhere on my palm.
Not only will I be able to gain greater control over my hands, but these pressure points will also create something similar to an air current around my hand making it faster, sharper and tougher while using the skill.
With one touch I will even be able to deliver five strikes simultaneously.
Even though from my point of view, this technique seemed amazing, it was not considered powerful from the point of view of the martial artist in this world who could share trees and rocks with their punches.
Do you wish to learn the skill: ZYTHER PALM You can move a string without touching it. You can cut a string from one inch away. Yes no
I choose "Yes" and my body Jerked as I felt the muscle Of my arms twitch. My fingers were moving drastically as new muscle memories were engrained within them. The next moment I knew that I had learned a new skill because many.new tricks bad even appeared in my mind, showing many tricks to use my fingers, hands, and palms. all the windows disappeared in my field of view as my status screen appeared instead.
Name Sun Chen Race Human Age: 18 class martial artist (crippled) Profession: None skills 1- Zyther PalmLv1( +1skill point forLv2) Strength: 5 Defence 5 Constitution 7 Agility 5 Mystic 5 ???? 0 ???? 0 ???? 0
My very first skill was on it.
When I had woken up, I had none of the skills of the previous Sun Chen. Strangely, at this moment for some reason, I was feeling safer. Not like an unarmed person in a place where everyone else had a gun.
