~Vanta City~
~Helio Lucas PoV~
After leaving the auction house we walked for a while before I stopped and looked at the people behind me.
They all stopped their steppes and looked at me.
I took of their chains which made everyone open their eyes in surprise, even An Yun was surprised as he looked at me for a while before taking off his surprised expression.
"From now on you are all free, do whatever you want," I said and turned around leaving the people there.
I looked at the people with my soul sense and smiled as I saw that their jaws dropped in shock leaving them speechless.
'Ho ho ho, look at this kid.' I thought as I saw the smile on the boy's face.
After I was far away from them the boy looked around before leaving, the others were just looking at the place I disappeared to.
"Sir?" An Yun asked me and I looked at him with an 'What?' Expression.
"I thought you wanted the kid as your Disciple, why did you let him go?" He asked me and I smiled "I have my reasons but I need you to go and watch over him, don't interfere with what he is doing rather I want you to observe him for me, I want to know what kind of person he is first...Also, make sure to protect him if he encounters anything dangerous which he can't handle but make sure to hide your identity." I said and An Yun frowned.
"You want me to babysit him?" He asked me and I smiled with a nod, he let out a sigh "The things I do for you." He mumbled and I laughed.
"Although I want to say I am your bodyguard, I know that you can take care of yourself nonetheless take care young master." He said with a bow and I nodded before he vanished.
Interesting, the boy's soul is stronger than the ones in this world, it's very similar to does on earth, can it be that he is also from earth?' I thought as I walked through the city, ever step I took looked very complicated.

If you looked closer you would see that I didn't even touch the ground with my feet.
Walking through the street I started to think about earth. Even thought I accepted to be here I am really a little bit angry at the old man.
I mean he sent me here without any warning and he did all this for what?
For his damn experiment or whatever, he called it. I mean who is in charge of my work now that I am not longer on earth?
What about the peace I brought? Will it shatter?
Humans are greedy people without me I am afraid they have already destroyed the planet with their nukes.
~~Sigh
As I walked around I saw that there were people who gathered around looking at something 'What is that?' I thought as I only took two steps before I arrived at the place the commission was at.
I touched the shoulder of the person in front of me who was looking at someone, he looked at me with irritation first before he looked at me closely and the irritation disappeared "Is there something you need young master?" He asked me with a polite tone.
"Ah, yes, what happened here?" I asked him
"Yes, some fool angered the 5th princesses of the kingdom and got himself killed." He said and I frowned.
'My sister is here? She killed someone?' I was baffled by what the man said as I recalled my sister, after thinking about her for a while I knew that there was no way she would kill anyone, she was too kind for her own good.
I looked at the man "Are you sure? What did the man do?" I asked him.
"Young master he threw something at the 5th princesses carriage while she was passing through." The man said and I thought it made sense.
'It was properly her guards, I doubt she even knew someone was killed, now the question is why is she here?" I thought as I looked at the man "Thanks." I said and gave him a silver coin when he saw the coin he bowed and thanked me.

I passed through the people and looked at the corpse they were all looking at.
My eyes widen in surprise.
Long black hair, above the average looks and 180cm height, about 18-19 in age but that was not what caught my attention.
I observed the man through my soul sense and saw how his wound was healing slowly but it was healing, yet there was no soul in the body.
I frowned and looked at it again thinking that it must have been my mind playing tricks on me.
'How is this possible? A corpse healing itself.'I thought as I walked towards the corpse, everyone looked at me in surprise, based on my clothes they could see that I was no commoner but what they wanted to know was what I wanted with the corpse.
I didn't pay attention towards them as I picked the man up and vanished from where I was, in reality, I was just moving really fast, but in their eyes, it looked like I teleported and they all gasped in surprise.
Leaving the shocked people I got out of the city and went towards a house on a hill in the middle of the forest.
This was a house I asked An Yun to build for me since I was planning on staying in this city for a while, and I also wanted to stay there due to the monsters there.
After I got there I turned off the formation that An Yun set to rebel the monsters and went inside the house, I put the young man down on a bed and looked at his wound again.
Like before the wound was healing and now it was healing much faster than before as I could see it with my own eyes.
"Strange...Very strange..." I mumbled as I saw that the body was now completely healed.
Suddenly.
~~Lub-dub-lub-dub-lub-dub ...
His heart started to beat and his pale face started to become more lively again instead of the pale face he had a while ago.
"He is alive?" I said in a shocked tone as I saw that his body was now functioning normal, just like a living person's body.
''A body can still be alive after the soul is gone?'' I said in shock as I watched this bizarre view.
[Inspect] I said.
Dead!
That was the only thing that I saw and I frowned, 'The fuck is this, he is clearly alive, he is even breathing.' I thought as I looked the screen.
Another window popped up as the other vanished.
Target for the Elder rank found!
Potential = 7 > Rank Scholar Mage = level 4 > Age = 18 > Gender = Male
The screen said and I frowned, I looked around to see if someone else was here but then I saw that the screen was pointing towards the dead/Alive man.
"What the hell!" I said.
I found an elder target but he was dead what kind of bullshit is this.
How the fuck did he die if he was a Scholar mage in the first place!
I put my fingers on my temple and calmed myself down and then looked at the man.
I tired [Inspect] again.
Name - Erik Erikson - Alive!

Body Strength - 125
Soul Strength - 355

'Holy SHIT!!" I freaked out as I looked at the screen, not believing what I just read I looked at the man with my Soul-sense and saw that there was now a soul inside the person's body.
Oh, Mother of *****!
"This is not possible, once the soul leaves the body there is no way to return, but yet how is he able to? Unless..."

Please do not repost my work elsewhere without my written permission. What type of reader is this book for? You might enjoy The Last Orellen if you like... Clever and resourceful protagonists. Big fantasy worlds. Multiple cultures, lots of characters, many different types of magic--this story is expansive rather than closely focused on a narrow storyline. Progression fantasy that takes its time. Our main character will be progressing through magical ranks, but this is going to be a lengthy story. If you're more about the journey than the destination, this might be the book for you. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
