《The Lost World》Chapter 6

He started to walk through the cave. He heard some bats and they flew over his head. He had ducked to make sure he missed them. They looked like real bats and not those robotic enemies that he had been coming up against. It was spooky in the cave and he could feel a chill. A gust of wind had blown through the cave. He continued to walk until he was stopped by more of those monitors. These had the ring logos on them and there were only three. He kicked all three of them and the rings were added to his ring total. He wasn’t really paying attention to how many rings he had. He wanted to see what was in the cave. Like before, he felt like he was being watched.
He noticed the ground was a dark blue tint and filled with rocks and stones. The dark blue tint could be coming from the light source. He’s never seen dark blue rocks and stones. As he continued to walk, he found a gap. He sighed, he didn’t want to climb another vine to get over. The gap wasn’t very big, he could probably jump. He jumped the gap and landed on the otherside. He made a small thudding sound when he landed.
He looked up at the ceiling and he saw what looked like beetles walking upside down on the ceiling and he blinked. He knew what was coming next, he was a gamer of course. The beetles started spinning and dropping. He ran as fast as he could away from the beetles. Every step he took made the ground shake and after he was away from that area. He stopped and caught his breath. What the hell had just happened? This seemed like a whole new mechanic for this world. Maybe this was a different game? No, that didn’t make sense. He looked up and saw some dirt and rocks falling. That must be Jasmine on the surface walking around.
He noticed a few blocks and they looked breakable. They were hanging in the air and he reached up and punched them. All that came out were rings. More rings were added to his ring collection. These were going to come in handy a little while later, he knew it. He kept on walking through the cave. Nothing out of the ordinary, he kind of liked how quiet it was. He knew that quietness wasn’t going to last for long. As he walked, he heard something loud and heavy coming towards him. Hell, he thought he was the only heavy thing in these tunnels. His eyes went wide when he saw what it was.

It was a large vehicle, looked like a car of sorts and it had a drill on the front of it. The drill looked like it was going a mile a minute. There was a robot manning the car. So what was this thing doing? Drilling for ore and what not? Was that the reason why there was dirt and rocks falling from the ceiling? It looked like he had gotten himself into a pickle. He tends to do that and not on purpose.
Now was he really supposed to fight this? If so, how did he fight it? He blinked. Man, this was going to be a pain in the ass. The Drill Car came towards him and he jumped over it before it hit a wall. The drill made a hole in the wall and the cave shook a bit more. So this thing was going to slam into walls until he defeated it. Great, just great. He swore he had fought this thing a long time ago. He was getting massive deja vu. If that was the case, he didn’t remember how to take it down. Maybe he would figure out how to beat it while he did fight it. He watched The Drill Car turn itself back around and pointed itself at him.
Bobby shook his head. “You are going to be a pain in my ass.” He planted his feet on the ground and watched The Drill Car coming towards him at break neck speeds. It was coming closer and closer by the second. When it was a few inches away from him, he jumped and smacked the robot driver in the head with his paw and landed behind the The Drill Car. It had stopped for a moment and the robot rubbed his head as if it hurt. Bobby blinked. Was the robot the weak spot? That was kind of predictable. Okay, so how many times did he need to hit the robot before The Drill Car blew up? This had to be a boss or sub-boss battle. If this was a sub-boss he didn’t want to see what the real boss looked like.

Bobby jumped back a few feet before The Drill Car turned around and the robot was glowing red. He looked pissed and Bobby laughed and shook his head. He motioned to The Drill Car to come at him. For once, Bobby was acting cocky and confident. He knew how to take this motherfucker down. Years of playing video games had paid off. The Drill Car came at Bobby, this time it was faster and he did the same thing as before. Jumped over the car and hit the robot on the inside and landed behind the car. This time The Drill Car did something different. It started shooting flames from the back of the car. Bobby hadn’t seen two extensions come out the back of the care. Okay, now we got a car that was throwing flames from its fucking asshole. Okay, next run through he had to keep that in mind. The flames had hit him and that made him lose a bit of life. The rings he had stored gave him back a little of his life.
Bobby jumped a few more feet. He had to be careful because he was coming upon the gap and he didn’t want to fall down in the gap and lose a life. A lost life right now wouldn’t be really good. Careful, be careful with life. That is what he had told Jasmine and he was going to have to live by those words. He wondered how Jasmine was doing uptop, maybe she had came up on a powerful enemy and was fighting it too. He would see her soon, right after The Drill Car was put down and after it was dead they could use the thing for scrap. The Drill Car had turned around and was charging at Bobby again, this time the whole car was glowing red and the car had an evil smile plastered on the front of it.
Bobby blinked. “Great. This thing turned into Christine.” He figured this would be the last go through with this monster. The Drill Car came fast towards Bobby and this time he just waited for The Drill Car to get a few inches away from him and then with all of his might he smashed the front of the car. The Drill Car was smashed into a billion pieces and the robot got out of the car and ran away to fight another day. Just hitting that car had cost him some of his life. He walked over to the broke drill car and he looked through the wreckage and then he saw a tag or sticker, he didn’t know what it was. Whatever it was it read : Property of Darkcrest Enterprise. Darkcrest? That was the name of the town they were heading to. What the fuck was this? The plot thickens.
He walked through the rest of the cave and it was quiet for the most part. He found the exit to the cave and it was covered by a giant rock wall. Bobby laughed. “Incredible Hulk eat your heart out.” With all of his might he hit the rock wall to make an exit. He did have to dig out some of the smaller stones to make his way through the exit. He was finally out and he breathed in a breathe of fresh air. This was awesome and then he looked around to see not such an awesome sight. The sky had turned a crimson red and the grass and other vegetation had been burned. He looked around for Jasmine.
