《Wings》Forest

It was dawn when Jake had woken up to see Frey and Wolf playing around their consoles. Everyone else was still on the floor asleep while the morning sun rose, showering the cabin in light.
This keeps getting more and more stupid the longer we’re here Jake thought to himself as a he stood. He walked over to Frey to see how much progress she’s made on figuring out the console.
“How far you got.” He said to her while standing beside her causing her to be a bit spooked.
“Well, I, I think I figured out its purpose.” She said timidly in a quiet voice as to not wake anyone else. “I think my spot is to do with building things. O-out of what or how I haven’t figured out but I’m leaning towards gems.” As the morning went on, she became calmer as she explained to Jake and anyone else who woke up why she thought this and how she managed to open up a manifest which seemed to have a few entries with odd names but came with sketches of what it looked like.
The first was called magisteel which as suggested by the picture, was some kind of metal bar. Next was cre-mate but as to what it was, no one knew as even the image just showed what looked like a pile of sand. Down the list of 7 items in the last entry was something called hollow. Once again, no one knew or could even guess what it was as there was no image for what it could be.
“I’m gonna search the ship to find where these are at.” Frey excitedly said as she left to go find wherever these materials were stored.
“Well while she’s having fun, I think we should check out some of the surrounding areas for the map.” John suggested to the group. “All in favour” he added while raising his hand.

Out of the 5 remaining, the votes went 3/2 in favour of exploring. They decided to explore the white forest that boarded the desert as while a white forest is odd, it seemed like the safest of the surrounding terrain to venture into.
They landed the ship on hopped off when Frey returned from her search with a silver bar that have dozens of tiny glowing lines along it. She decided to play with it later so the group explored the surrounding flora.
Walking up to the trees, it was clear that the white they saw was not snow but rather the leaves and large portions of the wood with the trunks either having black, silver or blue lines across it. Even the half a meter-tall grass was white with the surprise that the dirt was a light blue. Lilly, despite still being affected from the loss of her husband Jesse, was having an absolute field day. She was collecting various samples but try as she might, she couldn’t even break the thinnest of branches on the trees.
“Can someone give me a hand?” She said calling out to the group but as one by one they failed to break even the thinnest of twigs of these odd trees, they started to go to more extreme measures. Grabbing various tools from the ship, they tried to just damage the trees to no success. Glaze even started shooting out various piercing and cutting spells to no avail.
An hour or so passed before Wolf decided on a great way to break the trees.
He ran back to the ship and hopped on his console before activating the weapon systems.
“We better start running.” Jake said in a panic started flying off with John in tow. The others ran for the ship and once they were safe, Wolf fired a shot into the nearest tree.

The front right-side turret fired a small orange and yellow blast into a tree roughly 15 meters away and as the smoke cleared, there was only a small bit of damage that from the ship, wasn’t visible. Wolf wasn’t happy with the visually undamaged tree and unleased a whole barrage of these projectiles
After about a minute of bombardment, it took about 5 for all the smoke and dust to clear. What was left was a still standing tree but very obvious shredded wood and splinters along with scorched leaves and grass.
“THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!” Lilly ran into the command room yelling at Wolf. “YOU COULD HAVE WARNED US BEFORE RUNNING OFF.”
As the rest walked into the room and Jake and John landed on the deck, he replied with. “Well, I didn’t fire till you were safe.”
“YOU HAVENT EVEN FIRED THE THING BEFORE, IT COULD OF TORCHED EVERYTHING IN A HUNDRED MILE RADIAS.”
“Well, it didn’t did it so you have nothing to be upset about. Besides, you wanted the wood in small pieces soooo, your welcome.”
The argument went on for about ten minutes with everyone but Glaze simply watching with amusement. By the time they finally ended their argument, a sudden loud creaking and crash was heard and when Jake looked, the whole tree finally fell with Glaze standing nearby holding various large chunks glass.
“Where did you find glass. Did you do black magic fuckery Glaze?” Jake asked from the deck.
“Its wood.” Glaze responded holding up a part of a particularly large shard that on one end, faded to the white wood. “I don’t know why but it turns translucent under I’m guessing extreme heat. Maybe we could use it?” He suggested as Lilly was basically charging at him to get a hold of the chunk of wood.
**********
“Well that’s going to be a problem.” The being said from her perch onto the ship. “While it is surprising the Valkyrie’s weapons are able to break stone glass, that’s going to piss off the spectre ents tonight. Just better hope Trevenant doesn’t show and these guys get high up. Oh well, good time to test their skills in an actual dangerous scenario. Might even stop them using the Valkyrie for this.”
She decided the sun felt nice so she simply laid back under her cloaking field and enjoyed its rays.
Should I get some popcorn for this or not though was her last thought before she drifted off.

The Girl Named Rino
Oh. Hello. I didn't see you come in. No, don't worry. I don't need to hear your name. I already know what it is. I also knew that you'd come up at around this time. But, at the same time, I also didn't know. It's very hard to put into words - but that's what happens when you become the Chaos God. Your psyche gets messed up, big time. That's even more so for me, who was already warped enough to confuse reality with imagination - and, even make the rest of the universe believe that it was so. But, enough about me. Let's talk about you. You seem to come from a very far away land. It's faint, but your presence is there - in a relatively primitive planet. No wonder, no one wanted to stay in, or conquer your region of the universe - there's nothing worth controlling there. Your existence, much like your entire solar system, also seems to be pretty insignificant. Tell me, is your race capable of destroying your own world? Oh, you're already well along the way? Global Warming? Pollution? Overpopulation? Nuclear weapons? Wow... it's been many millenia since I'd last heard of such ancient concepts from someone who is actually living through it. Still, good job getting that far. That means that your world is now, at least, worth considering as a possible place to install a World System. If I find the time, I'll try surveying it. You can just thank me, later. Oh wait! What kind of person am I, not even offering my guest any hospitality. I'm ashamed. Please, take a seat. What would you like? I have everything the multiverse has to offer, whatever it is you want - I can get. Ah! After we talk, would you mind, if I asked you to do me a tiny favor? There's this girl, I want to keep tabs on. She's in one of the Worlds that I preside over, it's called Aiarthe. But, for some reason, I can't see her - not directly, at least. All I need you to do, is check up on her from time to time. Whether you do it as a pure spectator or through someone else's eyes, is entirely up to you. Really!? You would!? Wow! Thanks! You really did me, a huge solid there! For agreeing so quickly, how about I get started on surveying that planet of yours, right now!? You can help yourself, to anything in the fridge! Well, see ya!
