《Master Dungeon Network》Chapter 02 : Basics of Dungeon System

"For the last time, I am advising you not to disclose everything to any outsider. You showed me pretty much every info you have in your system. Even your System name. You can contact your system in your mind, and instruct to classify it for you. I can assume you have hidden your name after my instruction previously. You may see those hidden contents in brackets in your vision. But anyone without authorization won't be able to. Remember, you must mask everything properly", Rex said in a monotonous voice. As if, she lost all the interest in this silly looking boy.
'Have you not prepared the disguise properly?', he urged immediately in his mind.
"I have completed the mental linking. I will give out the instruction to do so", Joy pretended to start instructing in his mind.
She nodded her head. "Let's move to the other points. First of all, I will go through all the basics. I am supposed to help you with those only."
"First, about the systems. Even we don't know the origins of the systems or the system network. But after thriving in this system network for thousands of years, we know how it works. You can never choose any system of your own. Up to Rare systems can be assigned to individuals when the Growing phase is commenced. The systems from the Unique level will choose their own bearers. If you are worthy, you may be chosen by powerful systems. But most of the people never get the recognition of any powerful system. The systems can be categorized into Common, Uncommon, Rare, Unique, Legendary, Mythic, Heavenly. You are lucky to get a unique system. More than 60% of worlds are struggling outside without a single unique system bearer. If you are recognized by any system of higher rank, your current system will only bow to the new system. For the same ranking system, they will fight for the bearer. As per our understanding, the more bearers a system gets, the more powerful it will become. But some systems keep less amount of bearers for some reason we don't understand yet", she stopped to take a breath.
"Moron! Because of you, I am out of breath. What a nuisance", she complained a little.
Joy responded honestly, "I think it is your job."
"Yeah yeah! No need to remind me. So, next is the Dungeon. That's the basis of all. Your world has crossed the initial phase and now will enter the dormant stage. In the initial phase, you have conquered thousands of Dungeons, but all of those were Dungeon network generated, simple, and without intelligence. Those were without any intelligent being supervised. Once the dormant stage is over, thousands of otherworld's pioneers will develop Dungeons in your world. Now you need resources, power, and ability to defend your own world. For that, you have only one way. That is to conquer other worlds through dungeons. Either your world or the other one will survive."

"Now lets quickly start with the how to survive. You have different points. You have to spend those to build, conquer, and survive in this system. You can ask your system about those points later on. As an instructor, I can only advice you one thing. To survive, the Pioneer is the only hope for their world. Only a pioneer can gain points and build or create all things needed to persist. In the dormant stage, the only way to gain power for your world is to conquer land in the other world. After that, you have one more way. You may conquer other Dungeons in your own land."
"Lastly, a dungeon is a one-way gate from your world to the other. Until you get more power, only you have access to use it both ways. Once it gets conquered by the living beings of the other world, you will have no way to regain it. You will have only one way to survive this stage then. That is to conquer and destroy all the Dungeons in your own world. But believe me, without your own Dungeon's support, you have nearly about 0 chance to fight back", she concluded and halted to understand whether Joy understood till this point.
"So, the Dungeon system is a chain. I will gain more power from the Dungeon. Then I have to use that power to adjust the fighting ability of my own world. Then they will fight the other dungeons, and gain even more power, which will boost my Dungeon's power. And it will become a loop, which I have to protect as a pioneer. I cannot ignore either front if I wish to get more powerful", his eyes showed a determined look. Suddenly, he was more eager to get more powerful.
He never thought of himself as a hero. He only had one strong desire, which was to protect the loved ones. For them, he needed to get more focused and develop more power.
"Oi! Dumbo. Stop daydreaming. Humans are a pathetic race. They can never do all the things of their own. That's why you may see two tags in your stats menu. One is the companion, and another is an aide. You may choose only one companion in this stage, but many aides. Your system is more than enough to let you understand the rest", she nodded as if she was satisfied with her own performance.
She hesitated for a moment, and then said in a light voice, "You should not go for aesthetics part at the beginning. Rather security should be your priority". She waved her hand, and a small jade flew towards him. "Use this one wisely. This is small compensation from my side, for arriving late and let you wait. Once I leave, you will be given a choice of worlds, dungeon locations, and some more. Choose wisely".
She fluttered her hand and slowly turned into a small light ball.

"There is no free lunch in this world. I will be getting paid for this introductory session. You don't have to worry about that. Think strategies on how you can survive. Once you survive through this round, we may meet again in a much grand stage. Hehehe", as she was fading, she delivered her final advice.
Joy flustered back to reality, "How can she read my mind? How did she know I was thinking of repaying her back?"
"Damn! Don't scare me like that. I am not accustomed yet. Phew"
"Now, you are reading my mind. Go to hell, all the mind readers."
Joy was gaining a lot of information in a short time. It was like teaching warm hole theory to an elementary school student. And that too in a short time. Before he could manage to digest a whole lot of information, he was thrown to make a choice. He was literally frustrated because of the timeframe given to him. It was not sufficient to comprehend all the new things and put that into the choice. Now he had a whole world's survival responsibility on his shoulder.
"How much time will I get to choose the location?"
"At last a good news. I have to compare my choices before making it final."
He saw a light door revealing in front of him. He hesitated a bit. But chose to proceed as he understood something. He was too insignificant to get caught in big fishes' eyes. He had to conceal himself and get as much power as possible.
As he approached that light, he felt a traction force. He lost his senses of space and time as soon as his body crossed the light door. Soon he regained consciousness only to find himself in a large room. It looked like a library. Wherever he looked at was filled with billions and billions of shelves, tons of parchments. Something was illuminating the room from above, but he could not figure out the source. The technology was beyond his knowledge.
He approached one bookshelf and picked up a parchment. He found out the recorded language was out of his expertise. He soon found out every parchment was written in some foreign language.
"What the hell! I am unable to read a piece of single information, and I am supposed to choose from this pile of trillions of parchments?"
"How many records are there? Am I able to see that lady's world information as well?"
"Only 53 mil? Nice. You can choose it for me. I am going to train. Or one second. If I give you my specification, can you sort it for me?"
"Okay, let me think of my criteria."
He started to ponder. The first and foremost is the world's age and power. He needed to choose a world that was yet to arouse from the dormant stage. In that case, he could start building his Dungeon from day 1 and compete with other pioneers. Secondly, he needed to form his basic conquering technique. He was not against fighting and wars, but he never supported massacres to gain power. He started to formulate the basic guideline of his strategy. Rather than forcing from outside, he would infiltrate the kingdoms and nations from inside. So, the world was needed to be dominated by humans. Thirdly, the size of the planet would be a matter of choice. But simultaneously, the abundance of resources would be important as well. He was determined from the core of his heart. He felt a burning desire to make Earth the best place for the next generation.
Next, the initial stage of that world should not be too long or too short. It was good to have a world with 20-40 years of Initial stage. In that case, they were not too powerful or united. As well as, they didn't have time to accumulate more resources before reaching the dormant stage. That would be the perfect place to start.
"So the world should be dominated by humans with many conflicts among themselves before the initial stage. It must have gone through the initial stage for 20-40 years and yet to be awakened from the Dormant Stage. They must have lost their pioneer. It must have resources unavailable on Earth. It will be good enough to search with these categories."
"Well, I need to know the most fitting match nearest to this search criteria."
"Show me the result."
It is a world full of mountain ranges and valleys. The world is abundant in metals and ores. Humans dominated most of the world for several millennia. This world can be traced back to ancient times.
The world will awaken in 7 hrs 23 mins. You may enter this world in 2 hrs 23 mins.>
"What do you mean by traced back to ancient times?"
"Nice. So it's done. I choose you, Milma."
"Yes for sure."
"Can you find the place, according to my criteria?"
"I want it to be in between mountain ranges. Preferable choice can be a Gorge. Though if we can have one side open that would be the best. Umm, Ummmm... Let me think a bit more about what I want", he started to weigh all the possible options.
"A better approach will be near a small town. Yes, that's it. Please search the map."
Once Joy heard about the continent, he found out there was only one large continent, but thousands of islands around it. The positions are marked on the map.
He immediately chose the island as he would have a peaceful and safe start in the less densely populated islands.
"Yes."
"My old home", as he knew already the space inside the dungeon could vary, he chose to style the outside only.

Soo… Hello? Why am I doing this? Ugh… Anyway, name’s Sethsamm, no last name. Why you ask? Well… it all started with me waking up and having this holographic RPG-like window in front of me. Sounds like one of the many mangas’ I read, funny. So I got this window, then it explains that my life is now a video game. And then shit hits the hay… Starts up a bit slow, also a bit of wish fulfillment. Of course, there will be plot since I have a dislike for stories without plot, conflict, or even MC struggles.
