《Fallen God decides to live a little》Chapter 1: The fallen rises up (part 1)

Within the well of creation, the God of Magic and Power, Magnus, was currently being stared at the eyes by his sister Elyis, the Goddess of Sight and Truth.
"...."
It would've been completely fine if not for the fact that Elyis' eyes can pierce through anyone's mind and see their truest thoughts.
Sigh... This is going to be one of those days again huh?
“You’re feeling somber again.”
Elyis spoke as a matter of fact when talking about Magnus' emotions.
She's true... But I'll never admit it. It doesn't matter anyway.
I sink on my comfortable chair while Elyis is sitting up straight.
“Elyis you’ve been doing this for more than 2000 years, you ask me every day, don’t you get tired of doing the same thing over and over again”
I asked my dear sister the same question I asked her yesterday. But as expected, she replies the same thing she said yesterday.
“Brother Magnus it is my purpose, I enjoy doing this, you could say that I was made for this very exact purpose."
Elyis said this while releasing her divine aura.
You’re releasing your divine aura.
That isn’t exactly something to be proud of.
“It is something to be proud of brother Magnus. While I am not currently watching over the mortal plane, I can serve my role as the Creator’s eyes and use it in other ways.”
Elyis continues releasing her divine aura.
“Well can’t you see that I’m tired of you seeing me.”
I had stressed that out, I’ll die if she doesn’t stop this stupid hobby of hers.
Well, I can't really die, primordial gods can't die.
“You can’t die, none of us can die”
She repeats my very thoughts.
It’s true that none of us can die but only Elyis knows I’ve been dying in the inside for thousands of years.
I find this omnipotent state to be boring and purposeless.
“You really are the most peculiar out of all of us. Why is it that all of us are satisfied with our own nature and own devices, yet you are always restless. What about the mortals do you envy?”
I perk up from the seat.
She’s asking for an answer, this is a first.
Don’t tell me that she did not think of this in the past 2000 years.
“Can’t you just read my thoughts, you are the Goddess of truth after all."
I already know the answer, but my answer to her question is so petty, it might seem like a child complaining to his mother.
“I can only see the surface layer of your thoughts. You are still my brother and I need to respect that, I cannot peer into your inner thoughts without you giving me permission or….. I force myself in."

That last part sends chills down my spine. I sometimes forget that my sisters and brothers are capable of literally remaking reality at the snap of a finger.
“Brother I don’t intend to scare you, I am simply stating the facts."
She’s completely staring at me now, she really wants an answer.
Sighs
"I envy…. Not their mortality, but I envy the freedom to build something for themselves and to look forward to it"
Elyis is looking at my face with pity.
Do I really look pathetic?
“I do not understand, we are the Primordial gods, we were the first builders and we created the very foundations of the universe, is this not something we should look forward too? After all, we still have to guide them behind the shadows.”
While stifling a groan, I think to myself.
This is why I didn't want to tell you. You wouldn't understand.
The primordial gods are all extremely complicated beings and each one of us have minds equivalent to the most advanced supercomputers but because of this, we act simple.
This simplicity is annoying.
Other than Mounts, every single one of the primordial gods is so simpleminded.
I guess Elyis is simpleminded too. Even the high gods and lesser ones are more interesting than them.
Is it because they were once mortals?
Elyis suddenly frowns at me.
Oops, she might've felt that.
I snap my fingers and a beautiful female with the most perfect assets come to life and she looks at me lovingly. She tries to seduce me with her actions.
Elyis takes notice of her but just like me, we ignore her.
I snap my finger again and this time a beautiful and elegant blade made of the most powerful metals appear. This weapon can already reach legendary levels but I created it with one snap.
With one last snap, they all disappear once more.
“Do you understand now?”
“What’s to understand, we can already have the finest things in our eternal life, what is to understand about the mortals that have to start from scratch before they reach the top?”
Elyis is shaking her head.
Disappointing, to think the Goddess of truth can’t see what I mean.
Creator, why am I so different?
I stand up and walk away.
The well of creation adjusts and gives me a beautiful oasis to walk through.
“Where are you going, brother?”
“I need to take a breath of fresh air”
I really don’t need a breath of fresh air.
I don’t really need air in general or any bodily functions. I just want some time alone.
“… Okay, brother, I will excuse myself then”

She finally took the hint and disappears.
Thank me.
Elyis disappeared and the space where she was standing on suddenly warped and she disappeared. Space fixed itself once she was gone.
Okay now, what do I do?
Tsk, I just realized she’s the only one who was keeping me company and I have no other way to kill time.
Well, maybe I should watch the mortals once again. It's not like I've got anything better to do.
I wave my hand and a rip in space opens showing me a kingdom.
This kingdom, in particular, is my favorite. It was a human kingdom that worshipped many high gods.
It was my favorite because many heroes were born from there. I recall a previous hero who was blessed by Ragos.
He was interesting.
The worship of the Primordial gods is not a common occurrence in the mortal world because unlike the other lesser divinities, we do not need worship to thrive.
I continue to observe this kingdom.
Unlike the other kingdoms, this kingdom is huge and proud.
The kingdom was in high spirits as thousands of humans collect in a massive gathering.
It seems they're celebrating something.
A notable woman with relatively great power raised her hand with a sword on her right.
It’s beautiful, the energy pulses its releasing are huge, this must be one of Remries weapon artifacts.
It's interesting to think that this mortal has managed to retrieve one of his sister's priced artifacts.
Remries and Demries usually place their artifacts in large dungeons and dangerous areas.
Suddenly the image of the kingdom started to blur and the portal started to erratically enlarge, to the point that it could swallow me.
Most beings would be afraid of something like this but I guess being a deity has some perks.
Hmmm, something is wrong...
The rip in space quickly jerked as it exploded in size and it immediately swallows me.
Before it completely swallowed me, the feeling of destruction, chaos, and panic overwhelmed me and filled my soul with an abyssal chill.
I look back and see the Well of Creation being filled with hundreds of portals.
Each portal was small but then arms, tentacles and all manner of limbs grabbed ahold of the edges and ripped them apart.
Monsters of unfathomable form, four-legged beasts, soul-sucking creatures, and others came crashing in the well of creation.
The sound of a powerful horn thundered throughout the well but it was immediately quashed by the roars of the monsters.
[Xudacharen]
I raise my hand and summon my spear.
It suddenly pushes forward but before I could destroy the invaders, the portal behind me swallows me whole.
I didn’t have any time to think as the void quickly surrounds.
Within the dark and infinite void, I could feel nothing and see nothing. I could only hear the sounds of teeth gnashing at teeth, constant screams of hunger, the burning of flesh, and the painful sound of silence.
What seemed to be an eternity lasted for only a second as I hit the ground.
I quickly sat up and saw that I was surrounded by grassy fields.
My first action was to stand up and dust myself.
I felt a breeze on my lower body.
I noticed that I’m naked.
I’m not wearing my usual apparel of robes made out of atom-sized singularities.
I flick my finger and try to summon it.
[Galadhert]
That's weird...
For the first time in my eternal existence, something I wanted didn't appear with a flick of a finger.
Never mind that. My siblings might be in danger.
I start to channel my godly energies to rip apart a gate back to the Well of Creation.
It would have been more efficient to use a spell but I don't need to spend any effort since my mana pool is large enough that I can just rip a portal in between dimensions.
Then a literal hole in the dimension appears... Or so I imagined.
Nothing actually happened and I was dumbly staring at the empty space in front of me.
I started waving my hands and tried to reconnect to my divine energy but it doesn't work.
Nothing is working!!
No matter what I do, I can’t use any of my powers.
Once I realize my weakness, I feel the full blow of my current mortality.
I try searching once more but my body is utterly devoid of divine mana.
I don't even have mana, I might as well be an infant human.
Scratch that! I recall firmly that even human infants had at least one mana.
Okay, calm down.
I start to breathe properly and calm myself.
I need to find out what's going on so imagine my Status board within my mind.
Not a second later my status board appears.

Sara's (not really) Fabulous System Armageddon, Book I: The World Ended at Rush Hour
Planet Earth, Monday, October 7th, 2019. 18:30 * * On a fateful day, during rush hour in eastern North America, Heavens and Hell crumbled and fell from their higher dimension on Earth. It came from "above" but not the same above we regard in our tridimensional Euclidean reasoning. No, it came from "above" as in from a higher dimension. Bits and pieces of those places fell on Earth from all directions, this time in tridimensional Euclidean space. Satellites, the ISS, and space debris all were wiped clean from orbit. Even those that didn't crash with the falling debris were knocked off orbit by the shockwaves. On the ground, power distribution lines were disrupted and most power facilities were left abandoned by their dead staff. Most of these had emergency shutdown routines that engaged in a few days. Some others had a survivor among their staff that followed protocol and activated their SCRAM switches, stopping the power plant. Long-distance communication disappeared the internet along with it. The world was plunged into technological darkness. Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand human beings perished immediately in the pulse of magical energy from the torn spatial boundary. Spirits were rent asunder and vanished, their fate neither salvation nor damnation, only oblivion. The criteria used for this culling was latent magic potential. It didn't discriminate against education, gender, age, or ethnic group. But of the around seven million survivors, most would meet their doom moments later. Those on moving vehicles, like the ones driving on highways suddenly had to contend with high-speed uncontrolled cars and trucks driven by corpses. Trapped in their vehicles and helpless, they became part of the long snake of crushed metal. Very few survived. Those in the air or out in the sea were alone and probably unable to control their rides. Airplanes crashed, and ships kept their course or drifted away, depending on their autopilot. Several ended their own lives in utter despair after seeing their loved ones die in front of them. Another large group would die at the hands of other survivors. Violence and aggression became the norm. Only a few sparse pockets of not-so-sane survivors managed to band together and cooperate for the sake of mutual survival. The sole survivor in a five-over-one apartment building in Georgia, a girl became the keystone to humanity's survival. Sara's fabulous System Apocalypse had just started. She has only one remark. It was anything but fabulous. * * Updates every Wednesday and Sunday.
