when i first laid eyes on your handwriting, crooked and curly, i almost broke down
even from beyond the grave you thought of me... but i'm forgetting you
no matter how hard i keep trying to remember, you're fading from my head
i haven't opened it yet, i want it to last
i want to keep it fresh so that when the day comes that i forget what color your eyes were or my head refuses to recall if you spelled your name with one r or two, i'll have something to remind me
but for now, i'll just say thank you
thank you for remembering me even when i'm forgetting you

He should have learned never to play with her life, her heart. NOTE: This is a short story.
