《Reborn: Last Chance to Ascend》42. I am not evil, I am pragmatic

Rose looked at me, "What are you planing?"
"Wait, I have to verify if is it possible beforehand. I do not wish to make could out of myself again."
I stood up, walked towards the window, and jumped out. My wings spread as I flew towards the western border of the city. Winds were gushing around me with a great force as I kept speeding up. Night city turned into a blur of darkness with occasional white spots of lights. Soon I flew over the wall and lovered my altitude.
I spotted a wall surrounding a dungeon portal and slowed down, carefully landing next to the portal. My wings retracted, and I entered the portal.
The moment I stepped out of the portal, I appeared immediately in the secret room. 'It looks like he finally allowed me to enter his room directly. I was sick of walking through the same path every time I wanted something from him.'
I was brought out of my thought by the domineering voice of Bifrons, "What do you want again?"
"Am I right to assume that you have an awareness of what is going on in your dungeon?"
"Yes, I have as a higher life form."
"Can you expand your dungeon territory towards the city?"
"If I could, I would do that a long time ago. Unfortunately, adventurers and magicians guilds set up a dimensional bounding circuit around a dungeon. Forcing it to its own parallel pocket dimension to contain a dungeon.
"You know, these mortal are not as stupid as they look... and behave. They are not waiting for the dungeons to grow out of control. They are sealing them into pocket dimensions right at the being to control their growth."
'He is a little bit talkative, weird. He mostly spares only a few words for me. Maybe he likes topics like this?'

"Can I unseal it?"
"Yes, that is an easy matter. Just destroy a crystal in the ground under the dungeon portal. But I am not sure if I have enough of these stupid dungeons points to expand the dungeon all over to the city. I have significant savings, but..."
Luckily I predicted that problem, "Is it correct that if something or someone dies in the dungeon, it makes it stronger?"
"Yes..."
"In that case, I will go out, break the crystals and then I will use a prisoner as a sacrifice. At least they will be useful for something..."
Then something weird happened. Bifrons maniacally laughed, "Ghaha, You know I am a demon? I should be asking you to do evil stuff."
I just rolled my eyes in reaction to his remark, "Alright, open a portal for me to leave."
"Yes, go away and let me do my research," said Bifrons before he flicked his fingers and portal formed from the whirl of rainbow lights in front of him. I stepped towards the portal but was stopped by a Bifrons, "I do not know what are you trying to do. But, make that sacrifice before destroying seals. In that way, I would be able to reach a city in one go before alerting anyone."
'Makes sense. He really is the smart one.'
I jumped through the portal. From there, I flew back to the castle.
I entered my room through the window. Then I looked around, but Rose was already gone. I sighed as I needed something from her.
'It looks like I have no other option but to look for someone who can help me with my prisoner's issue.'
I left my room, navigating towards the nearest aura strong enough not to be a maid or other civil servant but a dark. Luckily nearest was standing a guard in the corridor where was my room. He was standing with his back leaning towards a wall. He was wearing a black robe. There was no mask on his face as there was probably no reason for them to hide their identities anymore. He looked towards the sound of my steps. Then he immediately straightened up after he had spotted me.

"Can you find a Rose for me? I need to talk to her. Send her to my room."
He made a shallow bow and took out a combination stone. I turned back and returned back to my room, where I sat in the armchair, relaxing in contrast created by a heat coming out of the fireplace and cold night air surging through the open window.
Ten minutes later, someone knocked on my door. Without thinking, I swung my hand, opening them without touching them. Rose walked inside and sat in another chair without saying anything.
"Well, I have a mission for you. Go to the dungeon and pick all prisoners with a death or life sentence... You can also take old prisoners that will probably die before release. Ohh, I almost forget, if we have any captive enemies without family members, then pick them too. Please put all of them in covered carriages and bring them next to the dungeon. Do it quietly."
Rose glared at me with a weird look that someone would have when looking at an insane person.
"Why that look? I am just being pragmatic. This is not evil stuff. I am not killing them for fun or petty reasons but because they are huge gains from it."
Rose flailed her hands in panic, "I am no saying that! I am just a little bit surprised. I never thought that you were capable of such things. Anyway, are you trying to empower a dungeon to use it as a surveillance network over the city ?"
"You are correct. So bring these people in front of the dungeon."
Rose kept sitting in her chair, lost in her thoughts, so I ushered her with a gesture to move her ass and start working. She snapped out and ran out of the room.
'I just hope there is enough of prisoners with heavy sentences... Otherwise, I will have to gain more sacrifices...'

This man regrets not having a choice, so after millions of years of getting shot, beheaded, beaten, stabbed and stoned he escaped from the world by hiding in a bunker with his books. Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: End of the Five, Twenty-three, and Twenty-nine Years Story
Alternate titles: - Five, Twenty-Three, Twenty-Nine Years - 5, 23, 29 "Dad? I think I got a really bad fever, why do I still feel fine?" "It feels cold..." Five years ago, Owen became a Court Wizard in search of his father who was lost to the unknown three years prior. But that wasn't the beginning of the story. Maybe it began twenty-three years ago when Ronald Bell and Joshua Ruze saved the Illyer family. Or perhaps, it all started twenty-nine years ago, when Ronald, the son of the wealthiest merchant, became a Court Wizard. Well, it doesn't matter anymore, for the story five, twenty-three, and twenty-nine years ago shall now meet its end. 2nd book written in the Wizards of the Otherworldly series. Read Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia first. This story is split into two 'Collections,' Ronald's Collection and Owen's Collection, each centering around those Court Wizards. Crossposted with WordPress site, Wattpad, Sufficient Velocity, and Rainobu. Wizards of the Otherworldly Court is a fantasy story about the Otherworldly Court, an inter-dimensional (or world-hopping, you get the idea) organization made up of people of all ages, gender, and race from many parallel or different worlds. They are granted elemental-like magic powers and called themselves 'Court Wizards'. They are tasked to watch over the many worlds they come across and step into these worlds on 'missions' to preserve the balance, life, order, anything to make said worlds better places in the shadows but may reveal themselves if necessary. However, these missions may partially or even fully oppose their nature, personal interests, and ideals. Yet, most of the Court Wizards are aware and willing to complete even the worst missions that would shatter their true selves that they will never cast aside regardless, either growing or regressing because of it. Basically, it's isekai to multiple worlds but each book after Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia focuses primarily on one world while also discussing its lore in detail. Book Alicia is the introduction containing the essential worldbuilding of the Otherworldly Court universe you need to know while shoving in as many characters and worlds as I can. Also, each book will have a different main character, sometimes more than one in a single book, like Jojo.

With the promise to take Kasumi under his wing and reshape her into a fine young lady, the principal agrees to postpone her expulsion, and Kasumi is grateful. But what Kasumi didn't know and was shocked to figure out is that when Shuuhei said he and the Student Council would be 'reshaping' her, he meant it in a way where she would become their 'dog' and treat them like her masters. The Student Council wasn't the group of perfectionists they led everyone on to be.And they were very, very fond of S&M relationships.***The full story is available on the Tapas app/site under my username @Mistyped_ and the same title.
