《Lucky SP》Chapter 9 - Investigation and Class 310

Inside Burst Industries skyscraper in downtown Chicago. On the top floor, a handsome young man was leisurely glancing at documents inside a folder marked confidential. He was Reston Burst, the young genius CTO. His eyes were the color of autumn brown leaves. His Blue suit had intricate white markings and designs handsomely printed across it. His hair was disheveled and messy, but his appearance was clean. "Mmm?" Reston was shuffling through the documents swiftly, but paused. He focused on the file which caught his attention. [Morgue Lab 5 theft investigation report] His eyes slowly ran across the report and he frowned deeply. "Incompetent." Reston dryly threw the report on his desk. "Aaron, I'll be going out to eat this afternoon." Reston was handed a pea coat from his secretary. "Okay Sir, I'll have Brook bring the car around." the secretary Arron replied. "No. Today, I will enjoy the fresh air a bit." Reston smiled leisurely. "Okay Sir, I'll notify the Alpha guards." Arron nodded. Reston waved his hand in acquiescence before walking out of his office and pressed the elevator button. The elevator arrived at the bottom floor, where a team of body guards in blue uniforms waited for him. They silently followed behind Reston as he left Burst Industries headquarters. He strolled past the food stands along the streets. After 15 mins of walking, he entered into a sushi restaurant: "Emperor's Food". It didn't take him long before his food was served and he ate leisurely in a corner. The body guards quietly sat a distance away from Reston. "Do you think anyone will have the courage today?" one of the body guards said. "Fool. He can't possibly have a woman throwing themselves at him every time he goes out alone." Another guard joined in. "Quiet. It's happening." the guards stopped talking. They watched as an attractive woman approached Reston and introduced herself. She smiled and laughed in a flirtatious manner. Before a disappointed look crossed her face and she excused herself. "Aww, this is why I shouldn't gamble." a guard commented in annoyance. "Hehe pay up Toby, the Boss was asked out again." the previous body guard taunted. "Sigh. Why is god so unfair?" the body guard sighed. ... Unknown to the body guards, ominous spiritual entities sat around Reston. Each of them projecting a red-black aura. Three different Bodie bobbed up and down on the ground next to him. And a snake-like creature with a human face, about 2 meters long curled around the base of Reston's chair. A disk-like portal of red-black energy appeared on the wall next to Reston as the w meter tall humanoid with dark red skin stepped out from it. The portal closed behind it. Reston formed a triangle with his hands and cast Spirit Technique: Isolation field around his table. "Doran, it's good to see you." Reston dabbed his mouth elegantly with a napkin. Doran, the red skinned humanoid with horns and wings which had just arrived, snorted. "Metyor, don't act like you're above me." Doran replied with a sneer. Reston, or Metyor, responded. "Isn't it true? I am older. It is natural." Doran changed the topic. "What is it you want?" Metyor folded the napkin, which he had placed on his lap, and answered. "I need help investigating the Morgue 5 Thief. My resources are currently limited." Doran narrowed his eyes. "You are one of the most resourceful demon entities. You expect me to believe there is information you can't get?" Metyor shook his head. "It's not as you are thinking. I need another actor for right now." Doran contemplated as he caressed his horns. He snorted. "Fine, but you owe me dinner." Dorian faced the wall. "Meta-force Technique: Opposing Archways" A red-black disk portal opened. "Bye then." Dorian stepped through the portal and disappeared. Reston dispelled the Isolation field and got up to leave. The snake with a human face creature uncurled and slithered away. The 3 Bodie's lingered around Reston as he left the restaurant. After a few minutes, they got bored, before following after a random man along the way. They eerily moaned "Hunngrry... Hungryy ...". Metyor patted his stomach and stretched his arms high. He watched his Alpha guards following behind him. Two of them were arguing over a lost bet. Metyor's lips curled in distain. "Human's are the best cattle. I admit he was right about that." ... Mr. Devlit, Zero, Marian, and Lucky entered into room 310. It was stuffy. It looked like it hadn't been used in an entire year. Room 310 was a cooking classroom. It contained 3 large open areas for preparing meals, including a sink, oven, and dishwasher. Mr. Devlit motioned for the three boys to take a seat on the tiled floor as he flipped a switch to turn on a fan. The air circulated from the swirling fan, which made the stuffiness more bearable. Mr. Devlit calmly created a new isolation barrier with his hands. "Mr. Devlit, are metusor's powerful?" Zero asked. "It depends." "Depends?" Lucky frowned. "Yes. Metusor's rely on their connection to meta-force to cause interactions with reality. Technically, nothing is impossible if you have enough meta-force to give and a way to transform it." "So, you mean not all metusor's can be powerful, because they don't have enough meta-force?" Zero asked. Mr. Devlit surrounded his hand with red-black energy. "No, not entirely. Do you see this red-black energy around my hand?" Lucky and Zero nodded. "This is meta-force." Lucky stared at the red-black energy intently. "Meta-force is an energy which is born from souls, at the moment of death. " "But the energy quantity is not as important, as the ability to transform the energy into something useful. This is the difference between powerful metusors and weak ones." He extinguished the meta-force surrounding his hand. Lucky was deep in thought. He thought about the Bodie Spirit entity the other day. "Mr. Devlit, what those Bodie's then?" Lucky asked. Mr. Devlit nodded as he took out some chewing gum and threw it into his mouth. "A Bodie is typically lower ranked spiritual entity which is formed by meta-force and resentment." "Can those creepy fuckers use meta-force?" Marian asked. "They can use it to some extend, however, most Bodie's do not grow to Rank B or above and obtain a meta-force circuit. They are typically unintelligent. But they could use Spirit Techniques, if one were born intelligent enough." "What about Alpha humans?" Zero questioned. Mr. Devlit's expression turned strange. "Alpha humans... what would you like to know about them?" Zero continued "Can they fight spiritual entities?" Marian interrupted. "They have to see them first dumb ass. Only metusors can see them." Mr. Devlit confirmed it by shaking his head. "Only meta-force can harm spiritual entities." Mr. Devlit paused and took out a small piece of thin greenish-blue paper. He handed a page to each of them. The paper was slightly transparent and there was a marking in blood, making it look like a talisman of some kind. "Alright, now we can get to the fun part. Kids, don't disappoint me."
