《Dream mastery》Unoptimist

When Tommy awakened, he was in another world. He did not feel any particular discomfort from the world around him like any other invader due to the ‘dream traversing technique’. He was in a new unfamiliar body. The injured body of Err He was in a new unfamiliar body, the injured body of Err Yang. Suddenly broken memories started to appear in his mind, the language of this world, the basic knowledge, almost all the thing that his predecessor knew among which was the fact that the entire school has been transported in another world.
Tommy opened his eyes, calmly observing his surroundings. He was in a big room that looked like a gymnasium. There were many injured people lying on mattress and bed. Most of them were rather young. They were his class mate.
Tommy did not panic. Generally dream master were cold people. They first awakening was like a ritual, most of them to control it destroyed the dream world with the being inside it. It was as if in other to become a dream master one needed to abandon his humanity.
Although Tommy looked cold, it was because of a different reason. He had not destroyed his dream world like he had initially planned. The people who ‘inhabited’ his dream world were the ones to give him the power to dominate it.
The reason of his calmness was his experience, in the dream world he learned that one needed to remain calm in other to make the right decision at the right time and seize opportunities.
Tommy started to get the feeling of his body and discovered that he could not move his right arm at all. He gave a look at that part of his body and discovered that it was crushed.
With his remaining good looking hand, Tommy tried to sit up. At that moment a woman who looked in her late twenties, cried and quickly came to help him.

‘She is as beautiful as my old boss’ Tommy tough before face palming. Why was he even thinking of her at time like this?
His action scared the woman even more.
“What are you doing? You should lie down calmly and not over exercise yourself” her words were not that comforting, but her voice was.
Tommy gazed at her before remembering her identity. She was his English teacher, Miss Violet.
He felt that his brain was translating every sound in this language, even the people names.
He did not take what she was saying at hearth and asked the question that could help him the most in this world:
“Miss Violet, what happened?”
Hearing him the woman remained silent for some time. She seemed to be struggling with those memories.
“Did you remember the strange incident of disappearing of places all over the country?” she asked patiently.
“Yes! I remember” although it was not one of the most vivid memories of his predecessor, it was still in one of the memory fragments he received.
“It is possible that it is what happened to us. That we were transported in this place and that we are now part of the missing persons list caused by this incident”
Seeing that the student was still calmly staring at her, she continued.
“Those ‘things’ that attacked us seem to be the inhabitant of this place” saying this she gazed at his arm.
“I saw someone kill one of them. And he became stronger” said someone close to them
“Someone even killed three of them, it was like a game. The more you grind them, the more powerful you become” the person was talking excitedly to his friend who was lying on an inflatable bed. His friend had an injured leg and the more he heard, the less scared he seemed.

“If I kill one of those monster, it is possible that my injury will heal?” the injured boy asked
“I’m not sure, but I saw with my own eyes the broken bones of one of these fierce guys heal by itself” the other young man answered passionately.
As they continued to talk, Tommy who could hear them asked to his teacher:
“Where are they now? The people who killed the monsters”
It was at that time that someone cried in pain not far away.
“We will talk about it later” the English teacher said while running toward the direction of the sound. There many injured people.
Tommy was sighing when he suddenly heard someone talk next to him. It was the boy from earlier.
“They had gone to an expedition to find help and food. They departed one hour ago”
Tommy felt that it was the most ridiculous thing he head since a long time.
“Who came with this great idea?” he could not help but ask
“Huh! everyone though that it was the best thing to do. Even the principal was not against it”
Tommy could not help but sigh yet again.
“How many of them did we send out? How many of them remained here” he asked, fully prepared to be shocked.
“There were twelve monsters. After killing them, ten people obtained amazing strength. They can even crush stone. Added to the ten of them were another dozen of people. We gave them food, and thing that could be used as weapon during their expedition”
It looked like a ridiculous story he read in the past.
‘You are transported in a world that is not your own. You know that there are monster living in this place, and you just barge in their territory like that.
Not only that but you are sending student among them. Even if they volunteered themselves, how do you know that they will not use this strange power to make bad things? Tommy remembered clearly the chaos that some evolvers created in his dream world.
It is good if they find the army, but what if they did not find it, and started to act wantonly?
What if the army was not that friendly and tried to silence you?
Tommy felt like a professional player that trained hard only to discover that his teammate were totally unreliable.
“I’m just paranoid or are they really dumb?”

And as their stories go, one of them will face the events that unfold in their distant past, as the other one will unveil its mystery predicted by its future. Is it a mistake to challenge fate, after all? *** The world-building is set upon on the universal scale, with dungeon and old-style fantasy. It has a progression that follows with the consistency of a dungeon setting, although it's not what you call a dungeon, but a function of a crystal. There's a lot to take in this novel, but that's all within my intention. I have always enjoyed challenging conventional ideas. The cover is not mine, it's just temporary.

All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
