The Royal Stars
In the world of Eorbe exist a total of six Gods of which four are considered minor and two are considered major Gods. Those four minor Gods are called the Four Royal Stars. In the mythology of the people of Eorbe they are seen as the First Spirits of this world and often are depicted as powerful beings who guard the Lands Above and the Lands Below.
Each of these Royal Stars rules over one of the four cardinal points (four main points of the compass) and over one of the four main elements:
North- who marks Winter Solstice (Water)
South- who marks Summer Solstice( Fire)
East- who marks the Spring Equinox ( Air)
West – who marks the Autumn Equinox ( Earth)
The names of these minor gods are Eostre (Goddess of the Land), Aodh (God of Fire and War), Temu (God of Water and Ruler of the Seas), and Cebrail (God of the Wind and Messenger of Spring).
Then we have the two major Gods who are called Leto (Goddess of Death and Darkness) and Khrysos (God of Light and King of Gods). There is no end or beginning to them for they are part of the Great Spirit who came before the First Spirits. Therefore it is said that they were the ones who created these ‘Spirits of the Stars’.
The Great Sacrifice of the Gods
There was a time where these Gods still roamed the planet and walked freely among men. It was a time of peace and immense prosperity, that is until they were brutally betrayed. This became the catalyst for what is called The Great War.
This is seen as the most disastrous event in the history of the world of Eorbe. Millions of lives were lost and for those who survived all that they were left with was an abyss in their hearts filled with the most unfathomable depths of agony and sorrow. Eventually, the Gods were able to defeat the one who was responsible for this terrible event and they managed to lock them away.

After the War ended the Gods retreated from man’s sight and to this day no one has seen them again. There are many legends and myths about what exactly has happened, but the most popular myth talks about how the Goddess of Death sacrificed herself to guard over the Betrayer who as punishment was chained to the most Northern Star called Tualis. The legend says that if the chain would ever break, the stars would be devoured and Chaos and Darkness would flood into the world causing it to end. Others believe that the Gods were exhausted from the fighting in the War and simply fell into a long slumber and that they will return someday. Many more say that they have lost faith in humanity and decided to forsake them, after having been betrayed by some of them in the War.
However, something peculiar happened in the years after this Great War. Some people started showing magical capabilities which was very unusual, because before the War the only humans who were capable of any magic at all where the direct descendants from the Gods. This caused many to believe that the Gods did not abandon humans at all, but instead decided to bestow upon them something very special. That is, somehow without being biologically related to them, they managed to gift humanity with magic. Many believe this is the reason why they disappeared and this is what people celebrate on the most important holiday around the world of Eorbe called the Week of Remembrance. In this special week each day is dedicated to one of the Gods and on the very last day festivities take place for on this day the people look back upon the Great Gift. They celebrate the coming of magic to all of humanity.
Magic
The appearance of magic was not an instantaneous event. It took almost three generations for the magic to be completely manifested in all humans. After years of careful observation what became clear was that there seemed to be five main categories in the way the magic could manifest in people. As a tribute to the Royal Stars who gave this gift to them the people of Eorbe named these five categories as followed: Starwalkers and Starcalled, Startouchers, Starthinkers, Stargazers, and Starweavers.
Starwalkers and Starcalled
Starwalkers and Starcalled have acces to Elemental Magic which is the power to cast spells that can create, shape, manipulate one of the six Primary Elements (fire, earth, air, water, light, shadow), or one of the six Secondary Elements (plant, steam, ice, magma, lightning, magnetism), or one Aspect of one of these Elements (for example an Aspect of the Water element can be the power over just a body of water like a lake or river)

The names for Starwalkers who have access to the Primary Elements are:
Windwalker (Air Element)
Tidewalker (Water Element)
Groundwalker (Earth Element)
Flamewalker (Fire Element)
There are two special Primary Elements and they have a different name than the other four Elements:
Lightbearer, Lucifer (Light Element)
Darkbringer, Noctifer (Shadow Element)
Those who have access to a Secondary Element or an Aspect are named:
Windcalled (Air Element)
Tidecalled (Water Element)
Groundcalled (Earth Element)
Flamecalled (Fire Element)
There used to be a different naming system for these two groups, but because of severe discrimination against the Aspect group it was decided to group them all together under one category as to combat the discrimination. However, despite these measures discrimination in day to day life is still happening a lot.
Method of Casting:
Through body movement, or making certain symbols with fingers/hand.
Stargazers
Stargazers have access to Creation Magic which is the power to cast spells that materialize objects in accordance to magic user’s imagination and Artifice Magic which is the power to infuse magic and implement spells into objects and thus create Artifacts (Magical Items).
Method of Casting
Requires the use of a “graphein” which is a stylus like object with at the end a crystal which helps focus the magical energy (high level stargazers don’t have to use it and can materialize without the help of a Graphein).
Starweavers
Starweavers have access to Summoning Magic which is the power to cast spells that can bring a living being or something/someone that had once lived from wherever it currently is to the caster of the spell. They also have access to Binding Magic is the power to cast spells that can bind certain things to each other. For example binding people to different outcomes, actions or results. Or bind a summoned being to the caster.
Method of Casting:
Summoning Staff, Weaver Glove
Starthinkers
Starthinkers have access to Psi Magic which is the power to cast spells that enable mental manipulation and psychic abilities like telepathy, telekinesis, etc and Observation Magic which is the power to cast spells that enable the mage to perceive any magical activity.
Method of Casting
They carry special books with them which are directly linked to their own Mind. The spells written in the book are unreadable for anyone but the owner itself for the book uses an unique language made out of abstract symbols. In this book every spell they have ever used is stored and written down in an uninterrupted sequence.
Startouchers
Startouchers have access to Healing Magic which is the power to cast spells that can provide healing and Ward Magic which is the power to cast spells that create magical barriers and protections.
Method of Casting
The mage has to ingest or inject certain substances in order for the spells to work, for their blood is the key ingredient that will transmute these substances into healing energy.
They often carry pouches (Portal Pockets) that contain injections with pure concentration of certain herbs/substances, vitals of the substances, or even different “vitamin pills” that they take daily so that their blood always contains certain substances and a certain amount of healing energy.
The Trias Magica
The five main categories of magic are organised into three main departments called the Department of Mind, Department of Matter, and the Department of Soul. Each of the Magic Types belongs to one of these three departments. Stargazers and Starthinkers belong to the Department of the Mind. Startouchers, Starcalled and Starwalkers belong to the Department of Matter and as last, Starweavers belong to the Department of Soul.
Department of Mind

The Heroic Tales of Silas Horne
In the year 1858, the system came to the world. It brought with it beings from fantasy and mythology the likes of which the world had never seen before. In the American frontier, a place already known for being a dog eat dog world the system gave bandits the capacity for untold violence, not to mention monsters and system loving fanatics hell-bent on the murder of the innocent. But are they truly so innocent? No one knows what the system is or why it came, they do know one thing though. That the world post system isn't a place for a hero. Luckily for the world, U.S Marshall Silas Horne is no such man. ----- AN: This story is a litRPG inspired by "Randidly Ghosthound" and "The New World" but after reading many such stories and finding them to be a tad samey I decided to write this in a new setting, the Wild West. Also, my release schedule is chaotic, expect at least one 1000 word chapter each day but probably like two more will also be released.
