《Mother Dryad & Father Dragon》Chapter 2

Before my eyes, a bright light flashes. Those must be the gates of heaven, indicating that I am indeed dead. Those people are all so naive! Have they never watched a single episode of a medical drama? It's not good when something is on your chest and you cough blood. I dash to the massive ball of light, sighing at my own demise.
Running at full speed my body slams into the ball with a hard impact. “Why did you run into me like that?” The ball says.
“Wait are you god?!” I question. It transformed into a glowing human figure with only being a little taller than me.
“I am the god of God's young one. Your God or any other religious god was created by me. I am the boss while they are the only reception. Watch over and make sure everything is in place. I could watch over them but I like staying whole.” He says. I was never a religious person but, it's kinda sad that we are worshiping a desk job.
“What about my Grandmother will she be ok without me? And that man that killed me what happened to him?!” I ask.
“Don't be concerned about your Grandmother; she'll be fine. I made her meet a wealthy man who has fallen in love with her with a little bit of fate bending. And, before you ask, he is two years older than she is, so she is the gold digger. The murderer, on the other hand, will be apprehended three days later after attempting to push another person across the street. To be precise, a cop.” He provides. Relief rolls through me by that fact. I kinda feel bad for Grandpa but she always says he was a bastard.
“Thank you, Creator; is there a reason for your graciousness?” I enquire.

“I knew you were a smart boy.” He says. So really there's a reason why he brought me here instead of some type of afterlife. “Usually your god would handle your soul and what to do with it. But I intervened and took your soul for a purpose.” He says.
“And what is that?” I respond.
“I need your help in another that I created,” He says.
“What exactly did you do?” I ask.
“Rude on how you think I did something. If anything it’s what I didn’t do. The worlds I made were great until the Godly War started. Some gods didn’t like me and revolted. I won the war of course but, the intent was still there. The Gods who fought against me thought the other gods that fought with me were traitors. This mindset caused many wars to happen between worlds. The only world that hasn’t made peace is Toddanata. I left the world with a group of gods with different meanings who ruled over different things. Almost like the greek gods from your world. The gods who fault against me are waging a war that the other side doesn’t want. There's more for you to know but you must go to the world to learn. Save my allies and bring peace to the innocent. I beg of you.” He says begging me.
Taken aback by his words and I step back to think. I could probably reject this and go to the afterlife or fight for this world. “You’ll have parents!” My head turns back quickly at his words.
“I’ll have parents?” I question.
“Yes, parents that will love you with all their might. Parents whose only goal is to be happy with you as a trio. I don’t even have to use divine will to make them love. They’ll love by their own will.” He says. My parents died when I was very young. To the point where I don’t even remember their faces. Oh, what I would do for that kind of love.

“I’ll do it,” I respond.
“Thank you.” At that call a yellow stream of light circles around compacting me into a yellow spear like the Creator. Grasping me into its hand he blows me away and as I drift off the world slowly fades to black.

A Wish
This is a story where there are no heroes and no villains. This is a tale about revenge, despair, and hope. This is a story where the truth is constantly hidden deep beneath the surface, and nothing is ever as it initially appears. The world is a stage. Every character has their part to play before their exit. They are actors, dancing on a stage set for them while searching for the truth behind the façade. Only time will tell whether they will be able to escape their predestined fate, to search for their happy end, or whether the promised end is nothing more than, a wish. Author's Note: Update will be very unpredictable as I travel quite a bit for my work.

Red Street Daybreak
August Samuel Hatch was born under an inauspicious pattern of stars. It's granted him what is widely considered the most unlucky of inconveniences: becoming host to a powerful but pernicious spirit that will act as his guide and protector--and one day end his life. Sairne is sworn to stand by August's side and, when the fancy strikes her, advise him, all in the service of atoning for a past life she can’t remember having committed a grave enough offense to earn her soul indentureship in the mortal realm. Bound by a celestial contract neither one can negotiate, their fates are all they've ever known. But in a city ruled by religious right and where magic runs deep as bedrock, their search for a missing friend leads them to a dark conspiracy that could transmute the very magic that binds them to their fates, and that might grant them the ultimate choice: do they save the city or save themselves? Cross-posted on Wattpad and Ao3. For fans of fantasy YA story beats if they starred adults instead, 1920s inspired setting, lots of banter, larger cast of characters, somewhat soft magic system. Completed, but being actively edited prior to posting! I'm the only captain on this ship, so mind any errors.

Leveling Up Is Better Than Reality
If you've ever been called a slacker, you know, it's not that you're lazy, it's just that you're not interested. Your values don't allow you to work hard as you wish to live in a heaven-like world where you don't have to do anything. As Gandhi said, ""Be the change you wish to see in the world...'' Wise words indeed. This story's about lazy- I mean an idealist hero named Zellin living in an RPG-like world. I'm going to deem this work as PG-13, but you never know...
