《Mother Dryad & Father Dragon》Chapter 18

[You have now learned the skill Powered Kick Lvl 1]
“Look at my son!” My father yells as he watches me learn a new skill. I could have learnt this skill a long time ago, but I chose to take my time. Practicing more than one move at a time is more difficult. Powered Punch has already reached level 7. Because it took too much mana to utilize, my Vine Control skill only went up to level 38.
Even though I created a new skill I wasn’t really happy about. I wanted to increase my speed, not the power of my kicks. I was stumped and was thinking of asking Little Helper but I decided not to instead. My mother has been teaching me for the past few days and I think it’s time to give my father a chance to teach me.
As I approached them, I noticed my mother strolling ahead, ready to answer any inquiry with open arms. As I moved past her, she gave me a look of betrayal on her face. “It's happening! My son has finally transitioned from a mama's boy to a father's man!” He flexed, roaring gleefully.
“Son, what do you want to learn?” My father asked, eagerly.
“You see, dad I 'm attempting to use my mana on my legs to sprint faster rather than kick harder. How do I go about doing that?” I ask.
“Oh, this is so simple! I'm assuming you just retained the mana in your legs?” I nod in agreement with his statement. “That is the source of the problem. Enhancing speed is a lot more difficult than you might believe. Instead of holding the mana inside you, you should forcefully expel it. Allow me to demonstrate. Make sure to keep a close eye on my feet.” He says.
My father took a position as if he were preparing to demonstrate. I could see the mana elapse at the soles of his feet just looking at them. My father then pushes the mana away from his feet, and he vanishes completely. At the cave's far end, a loud bang can be heard. When I look up, I see that my father has fallen to the ground. I couldn't contain myself and burst out laughing.

“Don't laugh; this is something I haven't done in a long time!” He clarifies. I couldn't help but chuckle even more. It wasn't until my father appeared in front of me with a grin on his face that I realized what had happened. He hits me in the head, knocking me out and causing me to slump back in a haze.
“What were you thinking when you hit me? What about mother, she laughs at you as well?” I exclaim, staring at myself in disbelief.
“He can't hit me because I have the ability to hit back.” As the vines on her head sway, she threatens.
As I assist myself to my feet, I focus on the mana within my body. When I visualize the mana, I picture it pushing me ahead. I bolt forward as the mana leaves my feet. I was a hundred meters away in seconds. I stopped pumping mana because I wanted to stop, but it was a mistake. My feet were unsteady, and I rolled across the ground. I rose up, battered and bruised, and dusted the dirt off of me, seeing my folks laughing hysterically.
[You have now learned the skill Mana Sprint Lvl 1]
“Stop laughing; it's only that it's difficult to stop. You guys have a lot of experience, and you know what I'm talking about when it comes to age and everything.” I'm sorry if I was being petty, but it hurt.
But it wasn't worth it. I got shivers from the look they gave me. My parents exchanged wide grins as they looked at each other. I had no idea what they had planned, but I knew I had to flee. I ran to the cave's farthest edge, using my new skill.
I thought I was safe, but I was mistaken once more. He smiled toothily at me before grabbing my cheeks and lifting me into the air. Then he did something to me that no father should do to their son: he did something that was extremely traumatizing. He pressed his finger into the back of my throat! I forgot this man was my father and repeatedly used my Powered Punch skill, but he was far too powerful. As I continued to gag, heat emanated from his intruding fingers, burning my throat. He finally yanked his fingers out of my mouth, relieving me of the agony that felt like it had been going on for hours but was only a matter of seconds.

I raised my eyes to him, ready to curse him, but he was smiling again for some reason. “Can you tell me what you did to me?” I asked, still trying to catch my breath after his intrusion into my personal space and privacy.
“Close your eyes and concentrate on the mana that resides within you. There should be something powerfully resonating in the back of your throat. Pour your mana into it, and it will answer all of your questions.” He says suspiciously philosophically. I do what he says ignoring my intense anger.
He was correct; there was something powerful inside of me. I do as he says and pour my mana into it, and something unexpected happens. The same burning that he instilled in my throat was now leaving it as a green flame.
[You have now learned the skill Forest Fire Lvl 1]
“You see, son, I wasn't trying to harm you; instead, I was trying to bless you. We were planning on doing it easily, but after you called us old, we changed our minds. I can see you're still mad, so I'll leave you alone, but I'd like to hear a thank you!” He says it with a sly grin on his face.
Giving him my distasteful thank you he laughs and walks away, tossing my mother in the air and pecking her all over. I despise it when they are so in love with each other. I ask Little Helper to tell me what skill it is as I stare at the still-open screen.
Forest Fire Lvl 1-
Nature has blessed these flames. To be able to give and take life in a matter of seconds. Heal your loved ones and show them the ashes of what you despise. The flames will only follow your intent.
Now Little Helper what does this mean?!
[Sorry if I went a little too far with the description, but I was giddy. This is one of your most original moves thus far. It possesses the dragon and dryad species' power. Even the human gods can't put this skill in their dungeons because it's the only one in the world. Basically, these flames have the ability to both heal and harm. If your friend is hurt, you can heal them with these flames. You can also use the flames to burn the person who has caused them harm.]
[That's not all, though. Remember how the flame follows your intent? Let me give you an illustration. Consider yourself on a vast battlefield surrounded by both allies and foes. You want to use your flames, but you don't want to injure your allies. You can burn as much as you want with a Forest Fire. Your allies will be ignored by the flames, which will only burn the enemy's. You can even heal allies while destroying the rest!]
Wow so you're saying this skill is actually really powerful?!
[Right now, absolutely not! It's still fire, but when you're up against adventurers that have fought flaming lizards and slavers that have fought full-fledged dragons, your fire is useless. At the very least, E and D rank hunters are on the menu. Actually, some D hunters.]
You know how much I appreciate your opinions.
[Thank you.]

The Breath of Creation [DROPPED]
General Summary: Sometimes, the multiverse needs expanding. That's where I come in. But, unfortunately, being a deity isn't all fun and games (and is incredibly complicated), as there are always things working against you. Not even the God of the Multiverses can change that. Another Summary: Twelve souls were chosen to expand into the void surrounding the known universe(s), and were given a grace period in which they would experience a relatively safe expansion of their domains. Once that period is up, however, they are free to interact with each other...and what lurks in the depths of the Abyss, the Void, and the Primordial Chaos. I am one of those souls. And let me tell you, this shit ain't easy. Between trying to raise mortals into an immortal army, with which I can defend my domain, dealing with my children, and trying to maintain the balance between all realms of existance, I have my work cut out for me. Sigh. Now I know why, back on Earth, gods worked in mysterious, invisible ways. There's just too much to be done. Formerly called RE: Deity
